2.75 ⭐️ I feel like there wasn't a whole lot of plot in this book even for the young audience it was written for. I did like that Annabel overcame her fear and the costume bit was funny.
This is the third book in the Annabel the Actress series by Ellen Conford. It features a spunky actress-in-training who is determined to find her way into the movies.
Annabel is an enterprising young girl who follows her dreams and is not afraid to start small. She is thrilled to be offered a part in a play, but the part itself isn't all that great. Still, Annabel makes the best of the situation.
The story is entertaining and I love that it features a strong, independent female who doesn't take no for an answer and has a positive attitude. The illustrations are quite hilarious and complement the story nicely.
We really enjoyed reading it together and we will certainly look for more of the books in this series at our local library.
