Discover how to create your own dream practice to help facilitate your work and relationships, self-exploration, soul growth, emotional healing and personal empowerment. Human beings have a long history of looking to their dreams for guidance, inspiration, spiritual connection and decision making. Kings consulted seers and gifted dreamers for political advice, and tribe leaders took heed from the prophetic dreams of their shamans. Dreams have led to inventions and scientific discoveries as well as the creation of moving works of art. So why is the modern human so disconnected from our dreams? Our quiet, reflective consciousness has been superseded by the busy, noisy and distractive components of modern culture. Dreams will teach you how, through simple intent, mindfulness, reflection, record keeping, plant work and lifestyle changes, we can enable a deeper connectivity and understanding of our dream world.
A wonderful introductory guide for anyone interested in dreams. This book is visually stunning. The majority of the pages are covered with beautiful artwork that soothes as you read. The paper is thick and feels good to touch. This book contains a little bit of everything, both scientific and spiritual, regarding dreams. I especially loved the sections on brain waves, plants, and lucid dreams. I have read lots of lucid dreaming books, and never encountered such depth about plants before. This book is not for advanced lucid dreamers who are seeking thorough in-depth information on that topic alone, but it is a great book, covering little bits of many areas of interest, such as precognitive dreams, nightmares and sleep paralysis. A thoroughly well-constructed little book, with a long list of references at the back. The author also includes personal accounts of specific dreams, along with insights on personal development.
Incredibly thoughtful book, I am pleasantly surprised for the amount of information packed into the beautiful pages. If you often google search things about sleep hygiene, dream meanings or are simply interested in learning about the study findings.. this book will guide you to improve your strategy.
I’d recommend this one in a hard copy, it’s a beautifully constructed book that is proving to be a tool that I refer back to often!
As someone who works with the unconscious on a regular, this was a beautiful compilation of information, practices and ideas for your own dream journal.
Overall I really liked it. The book really covers many facets of dreams, not only the analyzing of dreams. I especially liked the parts about soliciting dreams with intents or a night tea. I've been writing down my dreams for a long time, but now I'll pay closer attention to smaller details, which I thought were unimportant prior to reading the book.
This book was an insightful introductory dream book and opened my knowledge to the possibilities within my dreams. It inspired me to continue my dream journey and I would recommend this book to anyone who is ready to learn about the mystical dreams they’ve been having 💟
