Bearnard “Bear” Fletcher and his brothers are running for their lives. They’re wanted by the English Dragoons for reaving their own cattle in the year 1747. In order to escape, they flee on foot and the only way they can go is up. Climbing to a cave on Ben Macdhui might be their last hope, but they’re soon caught in an avalanche that tosses them through time to the year 2019 and a place very far away from home.

Kirsten Hunter is part owner of a ski shop in the tiny Sierra Nevada village of Delight. She’s also a member of the local search and rescue team. Her days are full and her personal life is suffering. It isn’t until she meets Bear that she believes there might be something missing in her life. Unfortunately, she thinks he and his brothers are irresponsible, extreme skiers who have flouted the rules and were caught in the controlled avalanche she was tasked with overseeing. Having no idea that they are actually time traveling Highlanders she is angered that they risked their own lives and the lives of her search and rescue team for what she sees as an adrenaline rush.

The attraction Bear and Kirsten have for each other becomes harder and harder to deny as they spend time together, but standing in their way is a jealous man who wants Kirsten all to himself and Bear’s desire to return to life the way it was before the Highland defeat at Culloden - the life he’s lost and can’t forget.

Wanted
Delight Book #1
Jennae Vale

Sadly Bernard 'Bear' Fletcher and his two brothers are literally running for their lives. They are wanted by the English Dragoons in 1747 for trying to get some of their own cattle back from the English. They quickly realize that the only chance they have of getting away is to go up. Up to a cave on Ben Macdhui which they think is their only hope. Next thing they know they are caught in an avalanche that somehow propels them ahead through time to the year 2019 and a place called Delight.

In Delight Kristin Hunter is part owner of a ski shop. She is also a member of the local search and rescue team. She is quite busy however her personal life isn't what she wants it to be. Then she meets Bear and she feels that spark that let's her know that she may be missing out on something. At first she believes Bear and his brothers to be irresponsible, extreme skiers who ignored the rules and were caught in a controlled avalanche that she was overseeing because she didn't know that they were time traveling Highlanders, who were actually lost as well.

As time goes on the attraction that Bear and Kristin heats up and they find it harder to deny it as they spend more and more time together. There is a problem though a jealous man who wants Kristin all to himself is lurking and he will put them through heck and back before they know what hits them. Will Bear and Kristin be able to make it through this mess and be together or will danger win out in the end?

Jennae Vale is absolutely fabulous. Time travel has never been better and the main characters have heat that sizzles off the pages. This is the start of a new series that you won't want to miss out on. What more could you want when you have hot time traveling Highlanders. One thing that made this story so perfect was that I already knew some of the characters from the ghosts of culloden more.

This is the first in the series “Delight” but a carry on from her book Ross (The Ghosts of Culloden Moor Book 39). I do not normally read contemporary books but I really enjoy Ms Vales time travel books, which are usually set in both time periods. I really enjoyed Ross but I found this book a little too contemporary for me as it is set in 2019 completely. It was a good read though with some stalking, adventure and of course romance. It was great seeing Ross and Cassie again and will still want to read Payton and Kades story. There was some mild sex scenes which this reviewer as usual skipped and it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the book. I am only giving it a 4 because I would have liked a little more 1747 in the book, which is a reflection of what I like and not the book as with all Ms Vales books, it was a good read for those who like contemporary. I received this book as an ARC and reviewed with pleasure.

Wanted is the first book in this new series “Delight” by the author Jennae Vale. It’s a fun time travel spanning 1747 Scotland where the Fletcher brothers Bear, Payton and Kade were on the run from British Dragoon’s keeping them from their own cattle! Upon the mountain on their escape the brothers find themselves transported to present day Sierra Nevada California in a small town called Delight via an avalanche. A bit of magic from the Grey Man’s howl lands them in unfamiliar surroundings and of course times.

Can they get back to their time? Will they successfully acclimate to these strange new surroundings? Pick up a copy and find out for yourself... you won’t be disappointed.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book for a fair and honest review. Great time travel book with a lot of interesting characters and storylines. Highly recommend.

I don’t hate it but...

I don’t love this book. It lacks details where they’re needed and too much where they don’t. I would have liked to have seen more character development and interaction as I’m not a fan of an ever present narrator and/or reading what the characters are thinking. It’s lazy writing. This book received 3 stars because there were moments that evoked some feeling from me but I didn’t feel the romantic relationship between Bear and Kirsten (terrible name to have read over and over again). One actual sex scene that was hardly steamy. What kind of romance do you like? This book is “Meh” therefore I’ll leave it to you to decide to read it or not.

This is like an addition to The Ghosts of Culloden Moor, which is an excellent series. As with that series, the Highlander’s are ruggedly handsome and honorable men. Unlike the series, there is some detailed sex and sexual references, which in my mind, do not fit with this sweet story. But the story is otherwise excellent so it gets 5 stars from me.

In preparation for reading this series, I went back and perused book 39, Ross, of the Culloden Moor series. I was glad I did as Ross, Cassie and the town of Delight are central to the Delight series.

I loved this story. It is well written, with all the right elements of a suspenseful, romantic story. The characters were cute, and a delight. I didn't find any errors in this story, and I do recommend it to those who love a HEA, and time travel.

This was given to me by the author, and I have chosen to give a honest review, on my own accord. The author is well known for her time travel suspenseful stories, and the characters are wistful, witty, dangerous, and charming.

Another Great Story

I have read this authors other series and this one does not disappoint! The 3 highland brothers capture your heart right away. The story pulls you in from the beginning and holds your attention. Delight is a wonderful town with so many sweet characters. Bear and Kristen’s story also held a bit of mystery and of course a villain. Great read just like all her books!!

A great "sequel"

If you enjoy time travel and romance, you'll enjoy this story. I had finished reading all 45 books about the "ghosts of cullloden," and a couple other time travel stories. I was looking for another time travel book when I came across this one. I didn't realize it could be considered a follow-up after one of the "ghosts, " titled "Ross." This one is a bit more adult oriented, with some *ahem* sexy scenes in it, but still a great read.

I absolutely love this new series. Bear and Kirsten's story was great. I also liked that the story was set in current time and they traveled forward and his brothers travelled along also and not left in the traumatic past. Can't wait to see what's in store for Kade and grieving Payton. I received this arc for an honest review.

Time travelled Highlanders

This book is a spin off from Ghosts of Culloden Moor series. How great to see three displaced HIghlanders post Culloden find a new life in modern day America. There are adventures, drama, friendships and love. What more could you want to make a good read.

Great story. Kirsten and Bear are a wonderful couple. The villian is pretty easy to spot but that doesn’t detract from the story. I’m looking forward to more tales about the town of Delight in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Hopefully Kade and Payton will get their own stories in future books.

This is sooooo good

I love time travel romance and this one had great twists and turns. Tim is a jerk, but the brothers were excellent and so Scottish. I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.

Read Ghosts of Culloden Moor (Ross) first

Excellent tie in with the Ghosts of Culloden Moor Series. So nice to see Ross happy with Cassie & building on their story. Hot Highland time travelers.

A totally awesome time travel book. It was good even though I prefer traveling back in time, so traveling forward is more contemporary, but Ms. Vale makes this time travel funny at times, suspenseful, sad, and of course, sexy.

Exciting

A romantic time travel which brings three highlander bothers to the future. Bear, Payton, and Kade survive a snow storm in a cave only to be tossed into 2019 via an avalanche. Fun reading how the brothers adapt with all the modern wonders the future unfolds. Good start to this series.
