The Calm to His Savage
Ajayah Wilkerson’s only goals are to finish school and get off the pole. Having to care for her mother and whorish sister are making it hard for her to do so. She finally meets someone who she can see herself settling down with, but she has a feeling he is keeping something from her that can tear them apart.Nicodameus “Frenzy” Washington is a young businessman with more secrets than the CIA. Though his dealings aren’t in the streets, his life revolves around the streets in more ways than one. After a chance encounter with the least likely female he would be interested in, he feels he has finally found the one to share his life with, but his past is making it hard for him to open up to her.Clipz and Karisma are the hood’s modern-day Bonnie and Clyde and are also the sister and cousin to Ajayah and Frenzy. Clipz is a livewire and one of the biggest dope boys in Greensboro, NC, and Karisma is down to do anything for and with him. When Clipz betrays Frenzy and sets up a lick behind his back with Karisma, the last thing he expects to happen, happens. Loyalty is a must in this game, and when you deter from those that are most loyal to you, you must deal with the consequences. In the first installment of The Calm to His Savage, a storm is brewing, and no one is prepared for the consequences that will follow.

Ok so this book was pretty good... It moved at a nice steady pace and quickly picked up the pace a little more and the storyline just kept building... I felt like I was getting hit from different directions and wasn't sure how everything was going to play out... This book definitely had me in my feelings at times... At a point and time I didnt know who I could trust or who's side I wanted to be on...
Ajayah I absolutely loved her... She had a really good head on her shoulders and was trying to do something with her life... She had to put everything on hold when her father passed away... The passing of her father took its toll on the whole family... But eventually they started getting it together... Ajayah ended up doing what she had to do to help her get through school and hel her mother with bills... She became a stripper... She was not like most strippers... Nope she had goals... Once she had enough money and finished school she would quit pursue her career... Until then this is the fastest way she knew to make her money... Yet one night while at work she crossed paths with the rudest man ever and her whole life changed from there...
Karissa is the younger sister of Ajayah... She also had a hard time dealing with her father's death... But the way she handled things were a little different... She began wildin out... This was not good for her reputation... But she didn't care... She was who she was and you could either except her or not... But her actions did cause a rift between her, her mother and her sister... I hated to see this because they all went through this and if they just took the time to sit and talk then this could have all been avoided... Maybe Karisma would not have been out there like that... But I guess you learn as you go...
Karisma was messing with Clipz he was the cousin to Fenzy... And Frenzy is "The Man" but he is not out on the streets like that... He has a lot going on for himself... He keeps trying to make sure his cousin Clipz is good and has a better outlook for his future but Clipz is just hard headed...
Frenzy is a homebody and is just about his business... He is not like the men in his crew that sleep around... Nope he is a lot better than that... He is not pressed for women... But the one night that he decided to go to the club with his cousin and friends ends up opening his eyes, mind and heart to a woman... Finally...
So I could not believe that Clipz could do Karisma that way after all they had been through... I mean I guess he could because look at how he did things and thought nothing of it... But Karisma was being good to him... But I think Clipz got a little to comfortable and it is going to bite him in the butt big time or even cost him his life... Not only that but he just put his cousin in the worst position... See what happens when he tries to do things on his own... He is not ready for this...
Just when Karisma finally got it together and things are looking good for her... Now this happens and dealing with Clipz could cost her everything she just worked so hard for...
What about Frenzy... What will he do when he finds what he is looking for is so close to home... How will he be able to handle this... Will this push him over the edge and change him back into the person he has tried no longer to be... If so will Ajayah be able to help him or will she be an innocent bystander that gets caught up in Frenzy's reaction to everything...
Ugh now I have to wait for part 2... please bring part 2 soon so that I can find out what happens next... Because this book really started building towards the end… And now I am needing to see where this story will go…

So now, y’all want a good book to read? This is definitely the one! A page turner, well engaging, very good storyline...no bad comments! Everything on point! I love, love how at every chapter..the character pics! Loved it! Just wanted me to keep on going..which I did. Honestly, this author has shown, since her very first book that she got that talent for writing. Two sisters, two brothers, completely different from each other and somewhat run in different crowds, yet their worlds intertwined. I love the chemistry between Frenzy and Ajayah... they are both driven, have boss qualities and at the same time laid back and they compliment each other.Her sister however, somewhat the opposite, at first I wasn’t feeling her but eventually I started to see the growth in her. Clipz....hmm...sneaky, underneath and gonna get his a** in trouble...I hope he have enough grease for when his brother gets ahold of him... not my fav character.... Anyways... this is a definite page turner and must read book. I want part two like yesterday...no ..the day before! And ohh can’t wait to see how the introduction is linked to the characters. Oh My!! This Is A Must Read!
I loved this book I will not give away any of the storyline you gotta at least read the synopsis or the prologue for yourself!! I must admit I got excited when I read that one of the characters is a student at WSSU majoring in Healthcare Administration I actually work at WSSU!
I can hardly wait for part 2 I'll probably re-read this a couple of times while I wait! Tisha this is a book well done ma'am!

Great Read
Really good read and it flowed nicely at a steady pace. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters and I couldn't put it down. Really loved Ajayah and Nic together and can't wait to see what's next for their relationship. Loved the growth of Risma and how she's learning to love herself. Now on the the next installment, cause after that ending I can't wait to see what happens next. Good job Latisha.

Loved it!!
This is my 1st time reading anything by this author but definitely not my last! I can’t wait to see how this is all going to play out. I hope that the mess Clipz is in doesn’t set Frenzy off. I love Frenzy and Ajayah together and hope that everything works out for them. Karisma got herself in some mess and I hope that she is ok! Great book..can’t wait to read part 2!

Amazing Read
This is only the 2nd series I have read and I must say I am loving it. Definitely don’t judge a person by the cover. Karisma made me mad from the jump, but the more I read the better she became. Clipz is gone end up in a world of trouble because of his ignorance. He has no idea who he really messing with. I can’t wait to start part 2.

Great book
My first time reading this author and this was so good page
turner from the beginning to the end. I love me some Jayah and Nic they make a cute couple. I like that Risma grew up but now look clipz is crazy i hope she is okay. Can’t wait for part 2

Calming a savage
Everyone has their own demons they're trying to deal with and get ahead. Risma has made me proud with the accomplishments that she has done. Ajayla is what Frenzy needs in his life and his calm. Can't wait to find out what Clipz downfall will be!
