"Dan builds tension like few others can. His prose is rich and his characters are memorable. I dare you to read a Padavona story with the lights out." - Zach Bohannon, author of the Empty Bodies series
Another great installment to the series, and a nice twist to keep it fresh, too. if you're into serial killers and thrillers, this is the series for you.
I loved it!!! In my opinion Dan Padavona writes novellas that are very involved and real page turners. The Bone Whisperer kept me on the edge of my seat. Not sure how he does it he wrote a full novel in 95 pages and I didn't feel like I was missing anything. There was something revealed at the end of The Bone Whisperer about Logan Wolf that I was wondering about when this series started. I can't wait for the next book. In my opinion if you like quick reads that keep you turning the pages, then I think you would like the Scarlett Bell Series. I read it on Kindle Unlimited.
Although I enjoyed this story, there seemed to be a lot missing from the storyline. There were little details regarding the killer, especially one of this magnitude (and I'm not talking about Wolf), and most of the story was bits and pieces of the past/present, or the same details about the former BAU Agent Wolf. It started off great, but the middle to end was nothing like I expect from this author. I would recommend this book, series, and author.
Gardy sends a message to Scarlett to meet him and not tell anyone. He thinks he's located the most wanted serial killer Wolf. Double trouble when a female resident goes missing. There's some confusion as to who the kidnapper is. This series is awesome. Go get the books
Just re-read the 4th book in the Scarlett - Logan series. Great intro to Logan. I read the book a while back and needed a refresher but I can see a few things that I must have skipped the first time. Good story to get a taste of the excitement yet to come.
Graveyard of bones. Haystack of horrors. Stalked by a serial killer. Multiple missing women hunted by a raging serial killer, who then targets one in his own backyard. Then the killer stalks the killer. Yep.
A killer put down with absolutely no effort. Crime solved. Then the twist of all twists. A turn I would have never expected. This series is growing more interesting with each episode.
A suspensful book. It was really good but of course left me wanting more. Pandova is such a good writer. He left me waiting to read his next Scarlet Bell book with a story of another serial killer. Wow he set me up good, can't wait!
I am really enjoying meeting the characters in this original series. I had glimpsed them in some of the author's other series previously. Can't wait to read the next one!
I really love this series. Scarlett is a great FBI profiler along with her partner Gardy. There’s a lot of action and suspense. Can’t wait to read the next one.
i have really enjoyed reading the scarlett bell series! they’re very short, easy reads. i like how the stories feel complete and leave me satisfied even though they’re all like 150 pages or less. it feels very unique to learn about the main characters, scarlett and gardy, over the course of the entire series. it’s interesting because they are developed well enough in the first book to b satisfying, but we learn so much more as the series progresses. the book/series layout reminds me of my favorite shows like bones, csi, and criminal minds. i’m excited to continue reading this series and dan padavona’s entire backlist!
Discovered this series completely by accident over Easter while looking for some shorter length audio books to listen to while going about my day to day and was absolutely delighted with the find.
Each audiobook is roughly 3 hours in length and covers a new case each book while continuing the main story of the FMC Scarlett Bell.
I finished the first 3 books in one day because they were so good and I needed more.
If you are a fan of quick listen audiobooks, the mystery/thriller genre and enjoy shows like Criminal Minds then this is definitely series you should add to your TBR/TBL.
