Rexvan has spent the last decade as the Arathian Ambassador to the Galactic Alliance. Now onboard the Adastra with Kor, Ty and Lacy, they discover another human female that makes Rex yearn for a life beyond what he’s known. Will giving in to this temptation spell disaster, or be his salvation?
Doctor Maggie Walsh is a top surgeon on Earth. As an academic, she never found a man worth her time. Suddenly she’s faced with a fatal diagnosis which brings her face to face with a darkly handsome man, who claims he can cure her disease. But in return, he wants her to live in space…forever.
Will their feelings for each other prove strong enough when one of Arath’s colonies is destroyed, thus igniting a war with their most dreaded enemy? More importantly, does this mean the Arathians will be forced to choose between love and duty to their planet, or is there another solution yet to be discovered?
Warning: Contains explicit sex scenes that may make readers crave hunky aliens with protective streaks. m/f
Written as the 2nd book in the Arathian Series, it can also be read as a stand-alone novel.

The second thrilling instalment of the Arathian Saga, I was hooked from the start as lessa lamb's sultry voice took me on another fantastic adventure with the arathians. Surgeon Maggie Walsh is faced with the biggest decision of her life, start a new life with the tall, dark & handsome aliens or stay on earth and lose her battle with cancer, Easiest. Decision. Ever.! Maggie begins her new life with Lacy on the Adastra, with a second chance at life, and love? This was another book I couldn't resist and finished in one sitting, I can't wait to start the next book!
In theory, this is a better story than book 1 ("Alien Savior"). The editing is way worse in this book, however. Several misused words, and I don't just mean your normal homophone mix-ups. The two that jump to mind are "selvedge" instead of salvage, and wench/wrench for winch. Also egregious comma abuse. The errors were enough to pull me out of the story more than once.
I can only presume there will be further books in this series. I hope the author hires an editor, or hires a better editor than the one she currently uses. The books would be vastly improved by even a basic bit of copy editing.
I enjoyed this one a bit more than the first one. Still a lot of editing issues, which almost lost it a star as this is about a 3.5, but I still bumped it up to 4 because the story line was just fun.
If you liked Swiss Family Robinson and Lost in Space, you'll probably get a kick out of this book. It was definitely different than the regular space alien gets human girl story.
Great second book of the series. Liked The Lord of the flies element. It gave it a totally different feel from the first book. Really liked Maggie and Rex. Looking forward to next book. Glad about Kor, Ty and Lacy too.
I really like this series, the idea that the author integrated parts like the Bermuda Triangle and the little grey men into the storyline was awesome. The audio is well done, thank goodness it is not monotone because that always ruins a good story. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
an earth woman falls for an alien diplomat. she is a medical doctor and she learns to use new technology then both volunteer to help earthlings stranded on a strange world with few resources....
