After two long years in the void, Will is glad to be home, and so is his family. However he still has his job to Feliogustus has favors to pay back after being without Will for so long and some of those favors are coming due. So while having his homecoming interrupted isn't enjoyable, paying back those gods that Feliogustus owes is important. When an opportunity to take on a task on one of the core worlds as a favor to another god comes along, Will must drop everything and deal with it immediately. Will's never been to a core world before, much less heard of them, but to Feliogustus it's important that he goes because invites to the core are few and far between. So while the task may seem to be mundane to Will, he knows from experience that there's more going on than Feliogustus has told him. And anything that's important to Fel, is important to Will.When Will gets there he finds that some of the 'rules' that the gods play by are different in the core, as well as some of the rules that govern the infinite and the portals that link it all together. Will finds that instead of one realm, the place he's now in is made up of multiple realms linked together by portals that not only most people can see, but which are in fact big enough to sail both trading vessels and warships through.

About the author

I've had a very varied life. I grew up in New York, on Long Island.
I went to school to become an Engineer, then joined the Air Force.
After that I worked first in Robotics, then in Aerospace as a Flight Test Engineer. I moved into the medical fields, then into more Technical markets working for a number of high tech companies where I became a Contractor.
I used to own and raise big cats. I love motorcycles and old cars. I'm a pilot and former martial arts instructor. I'm a fan of the Reno Air Races.
Then there's the stuff I'm not supposed to talk about, but that's another story.
I've seen a lot of interesting stuff go by, met a lot of interesting, wonderful, strange, or sometimes just psychotic people. I've had the opportunity to work on some truly game changing technologies. And while I've had some very bad things happen to me in my life, I've never let it stop me.

Not much to say that I haven't already said in the previous books. Except for that one book, this has been a very enjoyable series. I just have to wonder how many books the author plans to write and when they are expected to be published?

This is the best of the series so far.

I have always love reading portals of lnfinity, quite a fun adventure and of the seven books this is the most fun. This book in the series in my opinion is the most complete and best narrated. This series is so open ended it could go on forever, I am not complaining because if Mr. Van Stry keep writing the story this well I will keep reading them.

Another great story

Well developed characters,a good story line with a twist in the end of the book. Our lead character is maturing and face the "facts of life" as her finally comes to grip with his desire to have more off spring with the most attractive beings available. The gods keep their fingers in the mix and seem to accept and understand Wills desire to procreate at most opportunities.

Reading the Portals books is always a good time. The characters are great, the stories are thoughtful, and the world mechanics are fascinating. Reading this story was like meeting an old friend you haven’t seen in a while. A truly excellent series. Highly recommended.

Great Series

This story of a guy who works for a bartender god in multiple worlds is a very entertaining series. I was with wondering why you don't promote on Blaise Corvin Facebook Game Lit page as this Author? I don't understand why I don't like your stories as that other person? Oh well, I really enjoyed this story nonetheless.

At least as good as the rest of the series

I find that, usually, as series go on they start to get stale and repetitive. However, this one is just as fresh and exciting as the first one, if not more so. The wait for this one may have been a little long, but it was well worth it. Can’t wait to see what Fel has in store for our beloved protagonist next.

A fun little romp

I really liked the flying ships in this story; it gave a lot of stuff for my imagination to run with. I thought the story flowed well, but a little more development on the Two Rivers side of things might have been interesting. Definitely worth the time, so have a seat and crack open this book.

Great author under both names

I’d recommend John Van Stry and even the more racy, Rated R / possibly NR-17 versions under Jan Stryvant. I have to say this book was probably my favorite in the series, really like the doors (or should I say portals) that open with going to the 7 worlds. Keep them coming, under both names please!

Series is slipping

The last couple of books in this series are sliding towards boring. The main character acts like a 16 year old male with a constant hard on. I suspect the author is over compensating for the fact that he never got any while in high school.

Pirates, champions and deities, oh my!

Another excellent Portals of Infinity book. Will continues to be a likable character and I was thoroughly engrossed in his latest adventure. Flying ships, smugglers, pirates combined with the usual champion hijinks made for a great story.

A good twist

This book was a little different than the rest but I found the later half really pulled it together. I was getting very distracted during the read as the material was light but the second half more than made up for it

By now you should know what to expect and Seven Worlds does not disappoint. It is a stand alone story, not the start of the next overarching plot. Fel does increase his influence to other worlds, one with many races and flying ships, and relations with Evean deepen, so who knows what comes next...

Fun Read

After too long, another installment in the "Portals of Infinity" series . A fun read, though finishing it in a day did cost me some sleep.
