The Cartel Deluxe Edition, Part 2: Books 4 and 5
The Cartel series by street lit superstars Ashley & JaQuavis has been a consistent New York Times bestseller, full of their trademark fast-paced drama, deceit, and plot twists that leave readers shocked. Now fans can relive the story of the Diamond family in this second deluxe edition, containing books four and five.
The Diamond family has survived murder, deceit, and betrayal. Through it all, they're still standing tall, and a new era has begun. After a failed attempt on her life, Breeze has moved into the queen's position by Zyir's side. Zyir has taken over the empire and locked down Miami's streets. He has the world in his palms, but there is always new blood ready to overthrow the throne.
Young Carter has retired and moved away from the madness--that is, until he gets an unexpected visitor at his home. This person shakes up the whole family, causing chaos that threatens to bring down the Cartel for good.
When a Boeing 747 drops out of the sky with the men of The Cartel aboard, the women of the family have to step into their own. With the federal government on their heels and the family on the brink of destruction, a female dynasty is born.
After the government's case is thwarted, the ladies plan to take the family legit. They head west to establish a new endeavor, but with new territory comes new problems. The Carter family name doesn't ring as loud as it did in Miami. It's a new set of gangsters, a new set of rules, as the Cartel finds problems with an Arabic millionaire. Even as the new Cartel struggles to go legit, trouble always finds a way into the family's circle. Larceny, deceit, and murder are all in the cards.

This series is a page turner that you won’t want to out down. Miamor is a bad woman and Carter presence speaks for itself.

awesome and disappointing
I love the story but it was unfair to Mecca. Everyone was bought back but him. Mecca was my best character in the story. He made the story more exciting. But he touched my heart because of the pain he carry because he felt unworthy and unwanted but he still fought for the family. I think out of all the siblings, he was the one believe in family values. I lost respect for Carter for what he did to Mecca. I didn’t understand how you do that to a sibling because of a woman. Carter was cold hearted for that. These siblings had no family values and they only loved money. I didn’t understand how forgiving they were to people who hurt and killed their family. And don’t even mention Leena going from brother to brother. I didn’t understand how Carter forgave Miamor but not his brother. Miamor and Leena shouldn’t have had a seat at the family table, they were fouled and they were the family breakdown. Mecca was a good character because he made the story more hype and dramatic. I’m not sure I’m going to continue to read anymore from this series, getting tiresome and boring. They’re always on the run.

It really must be no love in the streets.
I expect twists and turns, but it seems like there's no time to relax before the next big thing hits. I'm good with that, but I went with four stars because I didn't like the ending complication. I keep expecting the Cartel to be whole and fight against threats "nah mean". But when it looks like there's cohesion, something pops off within and without. I have to admit, it's a little disappointing. For example, I expected Mia to handle Yasmine and I anticipated retaliation, but not divorce and internal fighting. I also knew right away that Boogie shot my man Carter before I read it, and I do wanna see how that's handled. I only hope the bonds that I've been pushed to love remain strong.

These two may as well connect my direct deposit to their accounts at this point
I've been an avid reader my whole life but due to being ADHD it is often very hard for me to REALLY get invested into a book let alone a series. Until Ashley and Jaquavis the last series I could get into was Harry Potter and I was a child during those releases. Between these two together and separately I have not found a series I haven't been enamored with!!! They certainly know how to habe you emotionally invested from the very beginning. If you guys see this please never stop writing your books help us all thru our toughest moments as well as our high points!

As time goes on the series gets better each time. The first book was poorly written and I wonder if it was the husbands writing and not Ashley. The 3rd and 4th book was interesting to say the least. I hate the fact that every time things seem to be going right and headed in the right direction that’s a curve ball. I hate the fact that some of these characters don’t die. ESP murder! I liked him but now he’s an annoyance. the Fact that Fly crossed the Cartel to team up with murder, l can't wait to see what happens next.

THIS ONE THOUGH COMES IN HANDY DURING READING GROUPS.
NOW ALL THAT'S NEEDED IS A BOOK 3 THAT COVERS BOOKS 6-8 OF THE SERIES.

The cartel 4& 5
Enjoyed it. Must keep reading. Another book of twists and turns. I hope for a good ending with their latest dilemma in Book 6. So many unexpected things happen in this series so far.

This one was very repetitive.... you'd think Carter would've learned from Zyir....... and false deaths..... I'm now reading book 6, and I'm guessing the Cartel kids are still alive being that is how these books like to repeat scenarios......

Much better than Part 1
It's much more believable than Part 1. Storyline flowed better except for all the near deaths. These are the luckiest characters in the history of all books.

It should not have taken me this long to read this book. But oh well lol. I don’t even know what to say. Books 4 and 5 were not as graphic as books 1-3! The chapters are still all over the place though. Definitely kept me entertained.

Another hit!
I love the series, and like the others, I loved it. When I thought I had it figured out, plot twist! What i I'm noticing though are little errors that should have been caught in the proofing. Still, I'm down for more.

I couldn't keep my head out of the whole Cartel series. I wish it could go on and on. I promise whoever reads it won't be disappointed.
