Life is great for thick-boned Keisha Jackson. With a good education, well-paying job, and a promising future, she has everything a young woman could ask for, including high self-esteem. But after a chance meeting with Rico, the neighborhood “bad boy,” her fairy tale life is quickly dismantled. Blinded by emotion, she gives in to all his cruel intentions.
Under the false claim of love, Rico vindictively tears down all that good-girl Keisha has built. His sole purpose seems to be to make her miserable. Rico has no limits on the grief he causes and the disrespect he shows.
Having endured physical, mental, and sexual abuse, Keisha finally sees the light, and she’s not having it anymore. The tables are turned, and Rico feels her well-deserved wrath. It ain’t no fun when the rabbit got the gun, and Rico will soon find out what A Big Girl’s Revenge truly feels like.
This has to literally be one of the worst books I have ever read in my life. I’m mad I read it. The only reason why I checked it out from work in the first place was because the blurb on the back cover sounded promising. Well, it wasn’t! I so wish I had just stopped reading this book after I was a quarter of the way like I wanted, but I’m so behind on my reading challenge and I’m stubborn, so I kept reading.
I kept hoping it would get better, but it just kept getting worse! I’m surprised at how bad this book is. The only thing I sort of appreciated was the author’s dedication to the slang and verbiage of the characters and community she was writing about. At the same time, the way she jumped from flashbacks to past tense to present tense without any warnings was hard to follow. And I do not like how she wrote the first person inner monologues. I mean, I’m honestly surprised I found a MARC record for this book to be able to catalog it.
I honestly wanted to see what Keisha’s big revenge was going to be and even that was a massive flop. There was maybe ONE character throughout the ENTIRE book who had morals. ONE CHARACTER! Everyone else was corrupt, slimy, shady, unethical, promiscuous, etc., and no one had any redeeming qualities at all.
The graphic scenes were horrible. I’m not a prude, but these were over the top. This is just such an awful book. I’m deleting it out of my library and I am NEVER one to do that just because I have a strong disdain for a book.
Anyways, I wrote this review because I wanted to warn any potential readers that think the blurb sounds good to ignore it! It’s a total sham. The book is NOTHING like it promises. Save yourself the disappointment.
SO BAD !!!!! There was a big girl, but no revenge to speak of. And although I have no problem with sex scenes -- this was too disgusting to even imagine. Ugggggghhhhh.
One of the worst books I have ever read and just disgusting overall. Horrible in all categories. I wish I read the honest reviews before wasting a dime on such a trash piece of work. This book seemed to be so promising from the summary on the back, but it was not at all. Save yourself the time and the money.
Literally the worst book the author should reconsider whether writing is something they should continue to do....the book was a complete waste of time. then at the end the author goes on to say ”we all know someone like keisha” like the stuff she wrote about is normal...I don’t know a single person that damn dumb.
P.S. NO REVENGE EVER CAME FROM THE BIG GIRL!!!! The title is a complete lie...the book is stupid... This was my first and last time reading anything by this author.

This was not for me. This story went from being silly to nonsensical to moronic to outrageously unbelievable BS. To me, this was like a horrible accident; you wanna look away but you can’t. I’d reach one absurd moment and think, what else could possibly happen.....then it happened.
This book was soooo many things , but I can definitely say it was good!! Now , in the beginning and even the half way point, I didn’t know if I was gonna finish it. It was SOOO much and the first 3 pages alone is mind boggling, but I am glad I did. I experienced so many different emotions throughout this book, getting so mad at everyone , I was going to stop reading so many times because of the length the author went and the imagined scenes while reading, but that ENDING?!? Stop it. The last like 5 chapters were the craziest chapters out of the book and the WHOLE book was crazy so that tells you how the ending went. I literally finished it in a day because that’s how glued I was and so ready to start the next chapter to see what happened. If you start this book and want to end because of how it starts, just give it more time cause I promise that was me after the first chapter ! Literally NOTHING is as it seemed the whole book once you get to the end , bruh READ IT
Omg this book was phenomenal. I loved everything about this book because it spoke the truth about how things really happen in life. I tell you Keisha was doomed from the beginning of the damn story. Life dealt Keisha the ugly had way before she meet ratchet ass Rico. Keisha life had a domino effect. It went from bad to worst like crazy. My thing is you telling me to leave the dog man I’m with but you doing some slick grimy stuff behind my back. Friends like Kim you don’t need no damn enemies. I really feel bad for AJ he really thought he could help Keisha our but he got screwed in the end. Sandy was a victim to the cause just like Mrs. Jackson. This story was straight up real and war. My thing is ladies please stop looking for love in all the wrong place you just might end up with something you can’t get rid of. Great book. Ms. Michele Moore
Hell the fuck naw. I was confused reading this mothafucka. a chromosome imbalance happens at birth. Having 3 somes and shit. the (grand) mother died of the aids virus and the (grand) dad Left her to rot like she aint shit. Rico aint shit threw this book. a lot of this book made me feel like " really bitch". THis book was every fucking where but the very end whenre everyone was split tellin they damn story was well put together. Not what I was expecting from the blurb on the back. It’s basically a 50 shades of gray type. Some scenes were shocking and just plain disturbing. I kept reading waiting for Keisha to leave her boyfriend. He treated her like dirt, cheated on her, beat her, made her do things she didn’t want to do. Plus he didn’t work or do anything. Why was she with him?!? It sounded like low self esteem, but I’m sure she could have found someone better who would have treated her better. Basically a train wreck I couldn’t stop reading.
Waited wayyy to long to DNF, I was not prepared. I hope in real life people really don't go through this. The low self esteem was way too much for me and the things she let Rico do/ forced her to her omgggg 💔💔. Rico is a actual POS and Keisha is just stupid. You literally have everything and this is the life you choose. I wish her parents wouldive done better by her. And F**K Rico and everyone around him!!!
Honestly, I didn’t really see how there was revenge in the book. I was let down because in the end, it seemed like it was just word vomit, Rico didn’t die, but got paralyzed and HIV, then so did everyone else. Keisha died, sandy was her biological mother- I just feel like it could’ve been a little better and it seemed like (for me) the ending was almost rushed. Overall, I don’t regret reading it. It kept me entertained, even told my wife about it. So for that reason, it would be a 3.5/5 for me.

First time read by this author. At first I was like oh no, not another one of those but at the same time I kept reading to see when Keisha was going to see the light. I guess we all know a Keisha maybe not to that extremely but close enough. Whether it's you, your sister, cousin, or friend the key is to see it and change it.
I was very disappointed in this book! I started to stop listening to the audio book after all of the abuse and the low bestality scene but I kept listening in hopes to see some true revenge for Keisha. There was no revenge for anyone except a death curse from incest and promiscuity from the people who was supposed to love her.

She wants to leave an abusive boyfriend but she stays. She is only able to leave because of an accident. Her father's behavior explains a lot. That man made her the way she is. He's the one who deserved her revenge.
This book was page Turner. This was my first time reading this arthur I will read more of her books. This book was had a lot of truth to it but out of it all you have to love yourself.
