Urban Fantasy Meet Science Fiction

Finally Brownstone gets to meet another alien. That means more action and destruction. Can not wait to see what the next installment has planned for James and the rest of these characters.

Really enjoyed this one, considering it was related to Brownstone's species.
Many errors throughout the book, annoying me in the process and also there was such a lead-up to the battle that I was so convinced that it wouldn't even happen in this very book.
The battle was quick, too quick for the huge lead up.

It seemed like a lot of this book was filler waiting for the final conflict between Brownstone and ‘Aiyn’. Unfortunately when this arrived I didn’t enjoy it, James was his typical aggressive self, but there was a very small part of me that I couldn’t help thinking I should be supporting Aiyn, especially as the author had decided to make her the ‘sacrificial lamb’.

Epic proposal

Finally the epic proposal! Loved this book. It has been interesting watching the characters change and evolve. James is so different than from book one. Shay is so much better too. Awesome book with awesome writing. So nice to see that James has saved the world from aliens. What’s next I wonder ancient gods? On to the next one for me . Happy reading

kindle unlimited, as usual full of typos and other issues, even though has a {un}dedicated team that 'proofs' the books {note for him: get an editor or someone who actually gives a crap and can actually DO the job}, but so not going into all that, not again, takes too long and useless, as the last time mentioned it was told by some of those members that I {the blind chick} should note all of the issues down and report them to him...so doing his job and the non-existent editor and the people who get free books from him for 'doing' just that type of job. He even typo-ed the writer notes on the newest Daniel Codex which bad enough but still no idea why he's even listed on those because he doesn't co-write those as far as I've ever been told or had it mentioned. This one wasn't as bad as the last one or two but I gave them one star each so this one being slightly better but overall no {long time to big fight, finally happens near end of story, then boom it's all over, total waste of time and such cop out}.

As James and Shay work their way around the delicacy of an emotional relationship, something strange is happening in both LA, and Las Vegas.

A vigilante has suddenly appeared, picking off the scum and evil who haunt the dark side of humanity, and disposing of them with barely a thought.

James ignored this, as he and Shay had just been through a major fight, with what he'd thought was a Wendigo, only to find out that it was something quite different.

All they wanted, now, was to spend a little time doing what any couple do - but with plenty of Jessie Rae's Barbecue for James, and some Pizza for Shay.

The trouble is, that the vigilante, nicknamed the 'Silver Ghost', has started hurting people other than criminals and, when she attacked first an AED patrol, and then Trey, and his patrol partner, the Witch, Vickie, James decides that he's had enough.

And so starts a totally epic battle, that sends reactions around the World, and even further!

James not only discovers everything about the Silver Ghost, but also learns more about his own people, here but, more importantly, he discovers just how Human he really is!

With world-shaking news abounding, what does James do next?

He does just as Shay keeps asking him to do, and says a 'fukcing epic' Proposal to her! Lol

This was as epic a book, as James' proposal! Not only were there plenty of revelations about James' origins, but there were also plenty of action scenes, both big, and small.

But what I loved most about this particular book, was how all of those who have helped shape James, into the man he has become, were also shaped by him.

I think Trey's metamorphosis was the best one yet! Lol

But, with this book finished, I checked my Oriceran reading list, and it told me to go straight on to the next book of the series - thank heavens - which is book number sixteen: ' Shadow of the Ring'.

I'm going to quickly finish this review, then make a start on the next book and, once I've finished that, I'll catch you on the flip side, and let you know what I think about it!

5 The Musical Equivalent Of The Plague Stars

Spontaneous Justice is the fifteenth book in The Unbelievable Mr. Brownstone series by Michael Anderle.

That proposal was literally fucking epic. Way to knock that goal out of the park. I spent so much time trying to figure what he could accomplish that would exemplify the epicness worthy of Shay and Jame's relationship. I wasn't anywhere close to the truth. Anderle definitely managed to surprise on that account.

Hopefully, no dumb government operatives or officials come down with the stupid bug any time soon. I mean I would love to experience the beat down that consumes their poor ignorant souls, but let's not beat that dead horse anymore. Senator Johnston is on the right track, and I hope they have a wonderful alliance.

Now, the Nine Systems Alliance is another concern entirely. When they reach out to the government i hope it's with their tail between their legs. It would be interesting to see how the series progressed with alien alliances working with Earth and Oriceran. I love mixing sci-fi and magic.

I kind of feel bad for Aiyn, given what she survived as a child. But her way of thinking was entirely too fanatical. Which in against any other Vax Forerunner would have been deserved, but she didn't rightly deserve the death she got before she went cuckoo-bananas. Would have been way cooler to flip her into working with Earth inhabitants to progress their society's level of technology and making the world a safer place.

Is justice served within this book, spontaneous or not? Yes, it is. But a very certain kind of Justice. The Brownstone kind of justice. While awesome to see, in this novel it just seems to lack the magic of the series right until the end.

The main issue was the pacing of the book was not steady. It felt jerky and erratic. Also some scenes just didn’t line up right. Not horrible as some books, but worse than others.

Overall, Not the best in the series. Not a bad addition to the series though. Loose ends needed tying up and the next arc is being setup. I look forward to seeing what comes next.

If you like TKG you will also really enjoy this series.

Best book ever in the series. This is my second favorite series next to BA’s TKG series. You have to love James brown stone and Shea as well as the subordinate characters in this book, you consider them like family I want to know what will happen to them next. The books bring you action adventure joy and sorrow The books are fast-paced and enjoyable I say please read this book but start from number one just imagine you don’t have to wait for the next book. I am waiting for the next book.

Despite 15 installments I have to say that so far this book series, The Unbelievable Mr. Brownstone, is still going strong.

This book continues the story arc about the Vax Forerunner, the stubborn alien(s) not believing that Brownstone actually could be a good guy, the mysteries of the medallion and of course Brownstone’s past. Brownstone and Shay’s relation and future marriage gets a page or two as well. No surprise there.

As usual the book is pretty packed with bad-guy ass kicking, bad-ass dialogue and all that stuff that we have come to expect from a Brownstone novel. I think I have really said what I can say about that in previous reviews. It’s good stuff…period.

What I really liked with this book though was the ending. Not only does the dumb-ass aliens get sent packing with the tails between their legs but the ones sending them on their embarrassing journey back to wherever they came from is not only Brownstone but also something as rare (unrealistic?) as an honest as well as not-taking-any-shit senator who is doing a good part of the sending. It was just so much fun to read that part. That ending alone was worth a extra star.

Oh, Brownstone also finally finds his epic moment with Shay to do … well, you know what if you’ve read the rest of the books.

Action packed urban fantasy adventure series

Action packed urban fantasy adventure series. And awesome cast of characters and story line. James brownstone a super bounty hunter. He’s an alien from another world that came to earth as a child and grew up as a human. He has superstrength and takes out extraordinarily bad magical criminals and evil criminals. Follow the adventures as he kicks butt and search is for the best barbecue recipe. Extraordinarily entertaining check it out

Fun addition to the series

This entire series is loads of fun! The characters are funny and Great to read about. the books can get violent they always and good. I would recommend a series for anyone that enjoys a fun read and doesn’t mind cussing and violence.

This is a series that you should start at the beginning or it will not make much sense. The books are small so if you are an avid reader you could probably read a few a week. LOL

Great Read

Things really come together for the series in this book. Brownstone is stressing over coming up with an epic proposal to Shay. His origins are nailed down and more is discovered about the aliens. I like the action, humor, and romance. Will Brownstone end up defending the planet from aliens? I look forward to the next book.

I really love this series, the good guys stay good, the bad guys mostly stay bad, the romance is limited, I can identify with the protagonist who just wants a simple life, and the mix of magic and tech is awesome. The only negative is that I tend to burn through the books very quickly and I'm not skimming. Wish I could slow down and enjoy this longer.

Delightful

In this book, James continues with his dilemma about proposing in an epic way to Shay. That's the major plot but the subplot is that poor alien woman who is trying to kill James before his psychotic symbiot make a him insane enough to destroy Earth. Silly woman.

This a fun book that I recommend for cold -weather reading.

Amazing book as always

When you get so far into a series as we have it's hard to pick out new things to write as a review. With that said, these books and the author are amazing, filled to the brim with adventure, action, magic, and everything else that makes a story just epic... so keep up the amazing work and let's see if you can get to the Legendary rank :)

We have contact!

Having to kill an alien and figure out an epic proposal, James seems to handle the alien better! Trey and his witch recruit go after a level five and realize why they should never go after a level five, can they both survive? Once the dust seems to settle for James and Shay, they have an encounter that changes everything.
