I seriously liked all the books, but the end of the 5th one was a mess. The Drayton drama seriously fell flat for me.
For the ending of book 5 alone I should've dropped more stars. I loved the series, but the ending was really bad (and I don't mean in a tragic, crying kind of way where you can't get enough). Also it disencourages me to read more of her books.

Great books, ok ending
I read this entire boxed set in a day and a half, I was so sucked into the story. The world was fascinating and I appreciated that the author didn't just have a bunch of exposition at the beginning, that we got to discover the world as it unfolded for the MC. My only criticism is that the ending was very rushed. (excuse my vagueness, I am try to avoid spoilers) It was a 5 book series with a central story ark that was wrapped up in 2 chapters and that left a lot of questions unanswered. Honestly the last book was all a bit rushed, seemingly insurmountable issues we're ticked of one after another with little or no effort. I would love to see the last book fleshed out into two or even three books to give the excellent characters and the great story the ending they deserve.

Serenity’s story
I don’t think I’ve stopped crying with this series, now it’s a RH series but pretty tame. This series is focused more on the action and saving the world plot.
Now I think I personally have read Debbie Cassidy series backwards as the main character in this series is called serenity and she popped in Cora’s series called the thirteenth sign which is the second series to deadside reapers. So when your reading these series it all makes sense from this series.
How Fee and Cora got to be where they are in their series.
Now the Chronicles of midnight was another fantastic and amazing series created by the amazing Debbie Cassidy
When you have this awesome opportunity to come across books created by Debbie Cassidy they you know your one of the lucky ones.
Every book I have read so far even in the slow burner and tame side of the romance side, they are always action packed. Always so,etching happening, cliffhangers that have you wanting to skip the review just so you can get on with the next book. They are that good I have to be patient and wait for the series to be complete because as soon as you start with book 1 you just can’t stop.
These series are exciting and thrilling. They are a page turner. They have you gripped from the start.
Now that I’ve read several series before diving into this series “the chronicles of midnight” once again I wasn’t expecting how this would turn out. You will have your heartbroken several times, you will be screaming and shouting and most of all you will be glued to the series because it’s a journey that is full on exciting. It’s so good.
Serenity is the main character, she’s written so well, like she’s brought to life. You feel every kind of emotion while reading her story
From hiding who she was and even then she truly didn’t know what she was, finding a new home with new people who helped her feel she was home and where she finally belonged. She’s dealt with a few hard obstacles she has to face. Accepting who she is and gaining more power, the kind of beings she comes across, which make more sense in the other series.
I’ve loved serenity and her story, loved the characters that became some part of in serenity’s life whether they wear part of her RH or friends etc
Just get the tissues ready for this series as it’s gonna be a rollercoaster of emotions and some shocks as one thing with Debbie Cassidy she will shock you and you don’t always get the perfect happy ending. It’s like a twist but it was a meant to be twist and serenity is where she’s meant to be.
Some of the characters have some interesting twists too Bane is one example, you don’t wanna miss his shock and surprise that he brings to this series 😜

Amazing Series! You wish it never ends!!
Chronicles of Midnight Book One
Amazing series!
This series kept me glued to my Kindle reader for hours on end...every break and lunch and time in between not working I have read and counted down til I could read again!
Our main character Serenity Harker is a nephilim, living in a world as a human. She is a police officer, but her ruse is up when she feeds off the wrong inmate. Now she has to move from Sunset to Midnight, where it’s always dark and monsters run the streets.
She has to leave her sister behind but gains some new family at her new job! We get just enough action in this book to leave us wanting more! Must read book two!!
Book two
This book continues the story of Serenity as she tries to protect the innocent as part of the Protectorate in Midnight. She challenges the main Sanguinita and is going to compete in the games in order to liberate the humans who want out of their contract. Problem is, the games are usually not something you walk away from with your life or freedom. Meanwhile she must become one with her demon if she wants any hope of survival.
Book three
This series is amazing and impossible to put down. Serenity Harker and her nephilim Protectorate have a huge fight on their hands, against a darkness they’ve never encountered. New monsters are coming out of the woodwork and new murder investigations are being led. She is becoming closer to the men in the house, but still feels guilty, from having played as a human for so long, it is hard to let go of old beliefs. Can’t wait to find out what happens next and what this new power means now that the veil has been ripped open!
Book four
This series continues and does not disappoint! Serenity is coming more into her powers and accepting of those around her who love her. Their battle against the shades continues and she loses someone else dear to her. Is it too late or will the two she lost find heir way back? Can’t wait to read what’s next!!!
Book five
In this final installment of the Chronicles of Midnight, we get to witness the final battle between Asher and the evil shades, set on destroying the winged and enslaving humanity, and Serenity Harker and her awesome men, including Bane, Rivers, Orin, and Ryker, to name a few without giving away spoilers. Loved this series so much! Sad to see it ending but what an ending!!

Accepting heroine
This was such a wonderful story. I love that I could read all of the books at once. Serenity is an amazing woman and so accepting of the many different people in her world.
I first read Wilomena's story which was also a great read. There wasn't an issue for me to read one before the other. Even though they are both in the same world, Serenity's home is locked away as an experiment. People and things can come in but they can't leave. It was difficult to understand Dawn vs Midnight sides of her city but I enjoyed learning about both.
The romance in Serenity's story, just like Wilomena's is a slow burn but once the sparks became an inferno then everything got complicated and intriguing. A big difference in Serenity's romance is that she had to deal with alternate sides to many of her lovers. Having split personalities and multiple beings in one body was so cool. Then adding Death to the mix was insane but I loved it.

So, Imy friend bought me the complete set. I hadn't read anything from Debbie Cassidy before, and I was hooked from page one.
The whole set is phenomenal. I hadn't come across the box set, so I was leaving reviews for each one
novel, but.....since I finally found the set.....here's my review.
The heroine is sassy, snarky, determined, and, of course has some hang ups to work thru.
The men are wicked hot. The sex scenes are liquid magma they are so erotic. The storyline is great. The attention to details while describing the world of Midnight is incredible, without being too wordy and losing the reader's interest.
Each novel is a great read, and as a whole, is immensely entertaining

Midnight
The first four books I simply enjoyed. To watch a strong heroine, become a savior, but a grounded one was phenomenal. She did fall for her guys but at the same time the author kept it well balanced by not making her seem weak. She was a excellent fighter and stayed side by side with them, not behind. The action takes the forefront in every book and the love in the background making the whole team grow together. The only complaint was the last book. It felt too rushed at the end and I was sad to see one of my favorite characters not survive. I wish there was a better conclusion to this piece of the midnight series.

Wow! What a wonderful series. Awesome characters, great story and intriguing story line. I hated to put the book down while I did other things. Serenity is a young woman who has her life thrown into a tailspin through no fault of her own. She tries desperately to fit in and yet the powers that be seem to always be throwing her another curve ball. She uses what she knows and becomes a strong, self reliant lady who takes no crap from anyone. Well done Debbie. I can’t wait until I read the next series.

The series started out well, with a simple, intriguing idea. However, as the series progress, she started adding more and more to the plot, and at some point, it just went off the rails. There was just too much going on, and it was hard to remember and keep track of. There was so much going on, in fact, that it felt like it was hard to get to know the characters well. When things happened to any of them, it was hard to feel bad, because it felt like the author spent more time on insane plot points than in getting to know the characters. Would not recommend.

Loved it
I fell in love with the characters and the world the author made. The heroine is strong, compassionate but knows when to lean on others. Her men are strong, but they have no problem following her. I also loved her men. Each one brought something different to the relationship(s) This series is filled with happiness, heartache, betrayal and new starts. This was a well written book that kept me glued to the pages.

I sold my soul to DC
This is the series that got me hooked on Debbie Cassidy. Now she owns my soul. And I'm okay with that.
Seriously though, this series is amazing. A kick butt FMC, tons of heart-pounding action, hot romance, etc. There's really something here for everyone.
This is the best place to start if you're new to Debbie Cassidy. You won't regret it!

Freaking Fantastic! You may think it is good versus evil, but really, it is action and humanity versus greed and complacency. It’s time to rethink what ‘beliefs’ have become and reimagine what it means to be who we are as a whole.
Expertly written, well put together, action, adventure, politics, romance, religion, thriller and killer characters. Loved it all!

Thoroughly enjoyed
Another great series. Hiding and denying what you are can only get you so far. Than once the monster inside comes out to play your in for a real adventure. This book had a complicated storyline that pulled you in and had u guessing. There was adventure, passion, love, loss and so much more.

This is an incredibly well written rollercoaster ride of a story. Packed full of excitement action drama and romance from the start and throughout. Great world building and a huge cast of amazing characters I was hooked from the first page and having them all in one box set makes for very happy binge reading. I really enjoyed this series it checked all the boxes for me and I loved it

Ah-mazing!
I devoured this set. I’ve read some others by this author and wonder if and how they all fit together. Great books with action and romance! I love my heroines with some kick-butt-ness and this set definitely had that.

A must read!
I give this series a five. The story is well written and thought out. The way Debbie brings the characters alive and the love they share is amazing but there is heart break also. I just couldn't put the books down.

This was a great series and I loved having it all in 1 book to binge! Serenity was a fab character and I loved her development and growth. So good to see her becoming confidant and strong, and getting what she needed in the end.

Complete series ! Serenity works for sunset pd and she is fighting the good fight . She is taken care of her sister. When it comes out she has powers , she is exiled to midnight . In midnight she has something special and she doesn't have to hide all of what she is. May 1, 2019I enjoyed this series but I also skimmed a lot by the end. The worldbuilding was interesting, the guys were interesting and I liked the group dynamics.
