A few stories tear apart your insides with just a few instances described impeccably, in the most engaging manner, with patience, and emotions.

'The Anonymous' is a tale of a girl who is tortured to the point she almost dies but still, doesn't lose her will to live. It is about a girl Natasha, our protagonist, who bears the brunt of the past and decides to force past her life through her nightmares. She wants to move on and so she did, with the help of a love which embraced her in the darkness and stayed to re-introduce her to the light.

The book is written well with a story which is strong, with a narration that is very effective at certain points. The author has managed to carve the pain of a tortured girl nicely. This effort of hers to paint the picture of the horrendous incident vividly and bring out the trauma associated with it is commendable. This thing has sent shivers down my spine, literally. The powerful storyline with an equally compatible narration made this book worth reading. I finished it in a sitting.

The book vacillates between Natasha's past and her present. And the best part is, the link doesn't appear amiss anywhere. It is well connected and presented. The beginning itself too me by surprise and with the flow, it interested me. Such stories of a female protagonist who struggles to avenge her grief must be floated more.

The character of the villain, Umang, is the worst. He seemed to be overly outrageous about a NO. This aspect of his character could have been sketched in a more appropriate manner. Sid's character was fine but should have been developed more finely. He needed space, a better transformation which remains overdue in the book. The whole presentation should have been worked upon to take the voice of the characters to a greater segment of readers.

In all, the book is definitely good for a one-time read but it is not able enough to leave a lasting imprint on the minds.

My rating: 3.5/ 5

The Anonymous by Nidhi Kukreja
When I received this book, I wasn’t prepared what I was going to read and thus started with a clean slate. I was really taken by surprise I must say. The book was nothing what I expected. Honestly, I expected to read something clichéd like a torturously mainstream drama, but the author in her simple yet lucid way has managed to weave a beautiful as well as an emotional read. The reader is sure to live the character of Natasha who is a rape survivor in this story.
I wouldn’t say that the story is one-of-a-kind, but it does keep you hooked. There are some places where things get a little unpredictable which is a highlight for me. The main reason I read this book was because of its storyline and theme – the unspoken mental and emotional drudgery a rape survivor goes through. The story weaves an emotional picture touching the strings of your heart.
The character of Natasha is deep and intense. The story oscillates between the present and the past and as it progresses it unfurls into unexpected directions. I love to read books with strong female protagonist, and the way this character has been portrayed comes off as a powerful and fierce one. The descriptions are vivid and it takes true skill to describe such a horrendous experience and how to recover from it.
It is truly an inspiration to read about the strength these survivors muster to live again. Despite having a powerful storyline, I didn’t find the book very unique and I felt the author could bring a little more finesse in her writing style. But overall the book wasn’t disappointing. I personally feel such books should be read more often than clichéd fiction, but that is my personal opinion. Thanks to the author for sharing her work with me.

"I want justice, I want pride, my respect, my happiness & everything which I had lost." What happens when every woman who suffers a lot started thinking this way?

What happens when you receive creepy, bloody letters from unknown? Will you fight back or surrender?

This is a story of Natasha, who has suffered a lot of trauma from Anonymous.
Who is anonymous? Why he hurts Natasha?
Solve the mystery with Nidhi Kukreja's Anonymous.

Story is all about love, betrayal, revenge & justice. Author portrayed the post-traumatic stage of victim. Language is easy. Suspense is well maintained throughout the book.

Though this is a mystery Novel, main motive behind the novel is about women empowerment. Good for one time read.

Book name:- The Anonymous
Author:- @authornidhikukreja
#rate :- 4.5
Genre :- Crime Thriller ...........
* In this book the author narrates about the suffering of a rape victim name Natasha .
Natasha who was living a peaceful life with a stable career suddenly just for her one denial to someone's proposal turned her life upside down . She was physically and mentally tormented for 8 months . She was raped everyday , she had a miscarriage, she was drugged , her hygiene, her emotions, everything just became a plaything in the hands of her abductor. After 8 months when she finally escaped that hell , she met Siddharth . Siddharth too was a mess with alcohol, drugs and one night stands . But after they met each other, there was a change in both of them . Even in their hardest time they slowly started to develop feelings for each other. After all these incidents when Natasha was finally recovering from her mental trauma she again started to receive random letters from "THE ANONYMOUS" . Now who is this anonymous? Why and how is this person related to her ? How Natasha will receive justice for the unbearable mental and physical trauma she faced ? Will Siddharth stand by her side or will he too leave her ?
For knowing the answers you will have to go through the book 😌
.........
* The plot of this book was awesome and the author has very well highlighted the traumatic condition of a rape victim. What I loved most about this book was that the female lead ,who was the rape victim her character was not like a vulnerable lady. Even though she faced toughest of the toughest situations, she never looked back . She always wanted to move forward. Suicide or killing herself was not her option. She always wanted to fight back to all the challenges and hurdles in her life . And yes such kind of characters are true inspiration for all . ........
* The writing was good . This was the first book written by the author and I am totally inspired by her thoughts and her message she gave through her book . Thanks to @authornidhikukreja for writing a book with such a strong message. I think this is a must read book . 👍🏻✌🏻

Title - "The Anonymous"
Author - Nidhi Kukreja
Publisher - Bluerose_publishers
Pages - 180

The story is easy to dive into. The writing style is simple yet compelling. It is not very predictable and keeps you hooked to know what happens next.
It is a wonderful book, beautifully, compellingly and sweepingly written demonstrating the trauma that physically affects the brain and the body, causing anxiety, rage, and the inability to concentrate. Victim has problems remembering, trusting, and forming relationships.
Writing in chapters explore the viewpoint of each character and alternating between the present and the past (Natasha's youth and relationship with her parents and friends) and only as the story unfolds do the reasons for her journey start to become apparent.
Writing is exquisite—florid and descriptive at times. The story keeps twisting unexpectedly until the end, keeping emotions fraught, questions percolating.
Writer's commanding skill as a narrator (at her best, describing the awful crime itself, she brings to mind a fierce young Natasha) forces you to relive her terror....This is a brave and modest work of demystification.... She tells what it’s like to go through a particular kind of nightmare in order to tell what it’s like—slowly, bumpily, triumphantly—to heal.
I was struck by the awful solitude that violence brings, both at the moment and in its aftermath a mesmerizing journey from tragedy to triumph. Natasha shows us how any girl—even the once lost and disempowered—can transform herself and become the director of her own life.
It’s a scintillating novel from a truly gifted writer.

My Review : First of all, my heartiest thanks to the author for sending me a copy of "The Anonymous" for review.

The blurb of the book made me go into it with really high expectations and I was definitely not disappointed. The author has put together a brilliant plot and with minimal characters that make the book standout from the rest of the Indian contemporary thrillers.

The protagonist, Natasha,a rape survivor came off as a strong character and I immediately felt inclined to like her.

The story that mainly focuses on Natasha, who sets on a journey to find her destroyer. The author has also beautiful bound the various aspects of emotional and physical trauma a victim a rape goes through and gives us an insight of also the family members of the victims.

The letters from the stalker were creepy and reading them was definitely a nail-biting experience.

The plot was definitely strong and definitely adhered to what the writer wanted to convey.

The only downside I could find was that of the climax, I felt that the author could've done it with a bit more intrigue and then the book would've been a wholesome read.

And also I would've loved to know a bit more about the family of her sister.

But, Nidhi Kukreja has done a commendable job in her debut work.

'Often, dreadful things happen which ruin things as it completely changes life of that person. Changes how one used to be.'
Well, I had this since quite a time but wasn't starting it coz I knew if I will, then I won't stop till it ends.
The story is about Natasha, perfectly hemmed words and a well sequenced story. The beginning is quite engaging in itself and once u move forth it evolves you'll get absorbed to read it to the end. You won't be able to break your flow untill you find about THE ANONYMOUS.
A delicately and sensitively written novel which one can't put down.
Loved it.
Great job @Nidhi Kukreja All the best.

The story is very thoughtfully written. The writing style is sophisticated. The transitions from present to past are made very clearly.

The plight of a rape victim (read: survivor) was presented with such veracity that it makes the reader feel the pain of Natasha.
The letters by The Anonymous cringes the reader as if they themselves have received it. You not only visualise the story, but somewhere in the journey become a part of their story.

The characters were not perfect. No one is. And this is the best part of a book, where everyone's weaknesses and darksides are shown and worked upon throughout their journey.

The story talks about changes. How some incidents can change lives of people and people themselves. How a friend becomes stranger and strangers become your lifeline.

The simplicity of the story touched my heart and will remain there forever.

🔖Book - The Anonymous⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🔖Author - Miss Nidhi Kukreja⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🔖Publishers - Bluerose Publishers
⁣⁣
🔖Review - The Anonymous is a gut- wrenching and soul shaking tale of a girl who was leading a perfect life along with her caring parents, loving friends and dreams of a bright future, a life full of happiness and joy until destiny decides to interfere and makes her go through such heinous situations that breaks not only her physical body but also her soul to the core. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🔰Plot - The plot of the story is deeply moving and masterfully crafted. It is laced with raw and deep emotions that are straight from the heart. ⁣⁣
- The appropriate use of mystery, suspense and verve elements make the plot quite interesting and never lets the reader down. ⁣⁣
- The story is quite unpredictable which keeps the readers on their toes to know what happened next. ⁣⁣
- Few adult descriptions like that of a rape may be a bit disturbing for the young and sensitive readers so they can easily leave those particular parts. ⁣⁣
- The author through her words makes the reader realise the situation of those people who suffer from these heinous crimes and how our so called society instead of supporting them turn their lives into a living hell. ⁣⁣
- The author also inspires her readers never to loose hope and stay positive however hard the situation comes. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🔰Character Portrayal - All the characters are very well etched especially that of the protagonist Natasha who despite all the sufferings decides to fight back rather than leading the life of a victim. ⁣⁣
- Without a powerful villain a story especially a crime/mystery thriller is always incomplete! The antagonist's character is also very well etched who despite living behind the curtains most of the time executes his evil plans quite perfectly throughout the story.
⁣⁣
🔰Language and Ending - Simple and lucid language has been used throughout the story. ⁣⁣
- The ending was quite unexpected and comes with a big surprise for the readers. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🔰Cover and Title - The cover of the book is very attractive and beautifully designed. ⁣⁣
-The title too goes well with the plot. ⁣⁣

The anonymous by Nidhi Kukreja
🌸Blue Rose publishers
🌸193 pages
🌸 Thriller

BLURB-
The story talks about Natasha who is being stalked and how she fights back. Who is this Anonymous who is stalking her? And most importantly why? What is Nastasha's story?
OPINION-
The title is mysterious, has an aura of mystic around it. I even love the dark cover, which gives us a sneak peak into the dark contents of the book.
Now about the story- the story is dark, deals with adult content like rape, sex and violence. So, it's strictly recommended to people who can handle the heat. Now the story is not strictly based on these. It's more than that. It's a story of a young girl who has suffered great many losses but she's alive today because of her sheer will to rise through all her problems. She lost all her family but found a new family in her journey through these struggles.
The con is felt was not enough focus was on the mental being of Natasha. She was being stalked, she had a history of abuse, rape, kidnapping and trauma. Somehow her character felt bland with respect to everything that happened to her.
I like how the suspense on the villian is maintained throughout the story and how in the end, all the loose strings are connected. Even the villain is made human showing why the person is how he/she is.
I love how the love between Natasha and Siddharth is shown. The pure love, the attraction on first sight and the will to die for the other.
What I didn't like was how vague the characters are. It took me a while to get hold of all the characters and by the time I understood what was happening I was in the latter part of the story. So the timeline and the characters are bit difficult to get the grasp of.
The language is easy and the narration is mediocre.
The choice of the plot was great. Building a story around such a sensitive topic yet abit more effort towards details could have made it a 5 star.

Some books brings out the emotional quotient in you. This was one of those book. Who said a debut author cannot write well? Read the book and you will find your answers.
💢
“My Love You look hot when you run!” When she read the letter written with blood, she gasped in horror. The protagonist Natasha, was a content editor by profession and was living a peaceful life in the suburbs. However, an unsolicited event made her a nyctophobic— someone suffering from post-traumatic stress. And while recovering from her trauma, she started receiving creepy letters from a stalker turning her into an ‘avenging angel’ mode. Nevertheless, her life again changed completely when she met Siddharth in a hospital. He was a fun loving and a handsome hunk whose life was a perfect mess around alcohol, drugs, and one-night stands. But after meeting Natasha, he developed captivating interest for her.
Will Siddharth be able to catch up or will it rip them apart? Will Sid be able to convince Natasha that he’s the one for her? Will he support her to find the culprit?
💢
The book is an emotional rollercoaster ride.
The story is about Natasha, the protagonist who is a rape survivor. She is a strong woman, her character is perfectly portrayed. The story moves from present to past and vice versa, which makes it an interesting read.
Some of the best line I liked from the book are-
1) Why am I still alive? Free me & I will let you know the power of a woman. (PG 4).
2) I think "ruin" has become my hanky, which I have to carry with me daily. (Pg- 12).
3) The lullaby given in page 22 is deep & emotional.
4) You are the star, you twinkle forever, you are the smile for others to smile, don't you worry, I am there for you. (PG 78)
5) When you love someone deeply, you forgive their mistakes, their lies because you know there is only one truth, that they love you.
Do read the book to know how strong a woman can be even after facing such a terrible incident.

.
⭐Revenge by definition means to get retribution for a wrong doing done to you. Everybody has felt and taken action on the emotion of revenge, whether it's on your sibling, friend, or enemy. Revenge can bring justice but as well bring pain to someone else. Its a horrible emotion which can sometimes lead people to do horrible things.
.
⭐The book is about fierce and storng girl named Natasha who is kidnapped, tortured and raped at extreme level still because of her storng will she survived. She was getting dreadful nightmares. She wants to move on wants to live her routine life without any fear and she did move on, with the help of Sidharth who is her strength. The journey is about how Sidharth gave emotional, mental support and stood by her to how Natasha overcome from her worst past with love of her life.
.
🍁Natasha's character is so deep that it touched my heart. Author has nicely written about the unspoken pain, mental and emotional trauma which rape survivor goes through.Scenes in which she gives Discription about her torture was so painful that it gave me goosebumps.
🍁The plot is very powerful and intrigued with unexpected twist and turn. Its about how with the strong will power you can overcome anything in life.
🍁I love Sidharth 's character. How caring, helpful and can do anything for Natasha. How he changed himself just for love.
🍁Narration is very engaging and language is simple.
🍁Letters from the anonymous were creepy. I love how suspense part maintained throughout the story which keeps you hooked till the end.
🍁The story keeps on oscillating between Natasha's past and present but with engaging narration it doesn't confuse you.
🍁Overall very motivational read with a strong message.

Wouldn’t it be nerve-racking if blood-stained letters arrived at your doorstep each time you were happy, conveying the lust-filled, sickening fantasies of the sender? In Nidhi Kukreja’s ‘The Anonymous’, Natasha is the centre of the terrifying reality of her existence. She was raped, tortured, harassed and left on the brink of death. Her world was trapped in a vicious cycle of nightmares. She was broken, shattered and was barely alive. Would she succumb to the atrocities of her past? Would she give up, or will her urge to live force her to punish the ones who hurt her? Will justice be served? So many questions and this novel has the answers.

The author puts up a strong female lead in the form of Natasha. Her undying spirit made me appreciate the character created. The words used were raw and would send a chill down your spine. The notes signed by the anonymous were the best part of the novel; they seemed so real. The author took up strong issues, but also made sure that the protagonist had the fight in her to survive it. It was indeed inspirational.

With good things, it would have been so much better if the narration was good as well. The presentation needs to be worked on. The shifts from present to past, and vice-versa were abrupt and it needed to be presented properly. The other characters needed proper development as well. The plot turned a bit confusing towards the end. The note by the anonymous at the end did clear the plot quite a lot, but I personally wished it wouldn’t have been there.

Overall, I would recommend the novels to newbie readers who would like a good woman-centric narration. In this world of rising problems, this book surely gives a ray of hope that justice will be served in time.

Review-
Never came across a book which made me feel the pain of the character to an extent which made me feel like the character is someone I know and I could very much relate to the protagonist's mind state and the way she spent her days in fear. With mixed up emotions and connections this book takes you on a multi emotional ride which sometimes makes you scared from the kind of people you find nowadays and sometimes the pain and fear when you are all alone. Author has worked hard on this which is clearly visible with the work she has brought up.

~
Thank you for the review copy @authornidhikukreja :)
~
The Anonymous is the story of a rape victim Natasha as she sets out on the road to recovery. She is haunted by her past every day as she lives her life in fear. The threatening letters that she receives doesn't help her. Natasha knows she has to get over her nightmares and face her present but she has only one person to help her out of it.
~
She reaches out the man who saved her from her previous incident. Sidharth is a changed man after meeting Natasha and takes it upon himself to protect her. As their love blossoms, he tries to help her become fearless. The morbid letters torture her mentally and she decides to find out who the culprit is. What follows next is Natasha's difficult journey as she learns to stand on her feet with Sidharth's support. When they find out the man behind the letters, they are stunned into silence.
~
This book helps in painting a picture of how tough life is for a rape victim survivor. How they have to rebuild their lives and put back pieces together to be normal again. It's commendable that the author chose such a sensitive subject to put infront of the readers. Yet as I read along, I found myself losing interest. The story did not have that stronghold to keep me engaged. The characters needed a lot of development and I often felt that it was rushed. If the story had been executed a bit more uniformly, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

'The Anonymous How long can you hide yourself?' I would like to give a trigger warning regarding this book. People who are sensitive can get easily emotional or hurt while reading this book. This is a story about a rape survivor. Writing about how can a person fight for herself after suffering for months it not easy at all. The author sends out a beautiful message through this book.

‘A person can harm another person physically or torture them mentally, it can break down other but It cannot kill their soul, their dreams and happiness. They can only take their happiness for them temporarily not forever.’

The characters are well designed however, each one of them having their own demons to fight within is the best part of the book. No one is perfect.

The storyline is lucid and smooth yet laying out Natasha's story as a rape survivor who is fighting back to start a new life is not an easy task for the author.

It is thoughtfully written.

The book also teaches us how dangerous can become the feeling of taking revenge in one mind that it can capable of distorting numerous other life with it. There is a thin line between comprehending other people's actions for some it will be positive action yet many ends up misunderstanding them.

It is a heart-touching story. The reader can literally feel the pain of Natasha while reading it.
I highly recommended this book.

When a girl says NO...she is either raped, forced or acid thrown at her face. You might have heard about such real life incidents. How a 'NO' from a girl changes her life.

This book is about a girl named Natasha who survives through all the torture that she is put through while she was kidnapped. She nearly escapes death. After spending 8 months in cellar, 4 months in hospital and 2 months in a stranger's home she is trying to bring back normalcy to her life when she starts getting creepy letters written in blood from an unknown person. Natasha is sick of all this and decides to find The Anonymous who ruined everything for her.
Natasha's parents are dead and so is her best friend Daisy. She can only turn to Siddharth the stranger, for help, to come out of this mess.

Who is this Anonymous? Will Siddharth support natasha to find The Anonymous?

The Anonymous by Nidhi Kukreja is a thriller that focuses on stalking. The concept itself is extremely scary when you think about it but since it's been the center of a lot of thriller books, it's almost impossible to differentiate it from other stories but using a sensitive and equally scary premise for a thriller is something authors do and sometimes they surprise you and other times they don't. This book sadly falls in the latter category.

Natasha, who is our main protagonist, suffers from PTSD which could've been a great representation of mental health but it wasn't handled well. The readers never get to feel or even see the suffering. It is just there, used as a character trait, which is something I found extremely disappointing.

The plot itself is nothing refreshing and the book contains various sub plots making it a mix of romance, thriller and mystery where romance overpowers the relevant themes and main storyline.

The characters were one dimensional and there were too many errors with the grammar and continuity which made the reading experience even more disappointing.

I'd not recommend this to people who love thrillers since it's not a satisfying one. You can read it if you're looking for a quick read and don't mind romance.

'The Anonymous' book by author Nidhi Kukreja. The story of the book revolves around Natasha. who was a content editor by profession and was living a peaceful & happy life with family and friends. she is a rape victim and she is suffering from post-traumatic stress while recovering from her trauma, she started receiving letters written with blood from unknown. On the other side, Siddharth is a handsome guy whose life is messed with alcohol, drugs, one-night stands, etc. After meeting Siddharth getting interest in her. So who is Anonymous? is he from anyone in her past? why does she get stalked? will Siddharth help her to find it?

The story of the book is suspenseful, mysterious, and thrilling. The story is all about love, revenge, suffering, mental trauma, fightback, etc. The plot of the book is unpredictable which keeps the reader engaged till the end. It's a roller coaster ride of an emotional with twists and turns. The author has strongly narrated the story and events like events of victims etc. The charaterNatasha has described and developed well-strong girls who fightbacks. The title and the cover of the book itself give an idea about the story. Recommended to all those who like to read suspense stories.
A heartwarming painful story...

Why I chose this book is because of the blurb, where it said it's more about the unspoken emotional trauma of a rape survivor.
The book has been well crafted by the author, by perfectly getting into the emotions of the reader. At first I expected this book to be more of a cliche drama type, but it turned out to be a an emotional, yet beautiful read.
I being a reader, lived the life of Natasha, the protagonist. The author made me live her life through the beauty of language and writing style.
The emotional trauma of the rape survivor has been depicted so well that my heart felt like it's bursting at times.
There were alot of unexpected events in the book, that makes us more hooked up till the end. There's no way one can expect what is happening in it.
The language is simple and transparent.
The author have used well crafted words and narrative style is perfect.
The book is fast paced, with mysterious events at times.
The cover of the book is simple. The title is appropriate for the content.
I would say, if you're someone who is looking for a book that touches the bits of your heart, try reading this.

•The story is about Natasha, the protagonist who is a rape survivor. She is a strong woman, her character is perfectly portrayed. The story moves from present to past and vice versa which makes the story bit confusing at first hand. Natasha receives letters in the name of "The Anonymous" which makes her worried. She wants to find the person behind all this. In the mean time she finds Siddharth who is very caring towards her. The character of Siddharth is aslo a strong one, he loves Natasha and wants stop all this happening to her. This is a story of revenge, love, hurt, suffering and healing.

•There are few characters in the story and all of them are portrayed so well. The book kept me hooked and this is definitely a page turner. The language of the book is easy yet engaging. I loved the way author has described all the small details.

•I would definitely recommend this book.

The story is about the protagonist Natasha, who was haunted by her past life traumas. She was kidnapped and raped for 8 long months. After being rescued, she happens to meet Siddharth in the hospital. Natasha falls in love with Siddharth eventually and changed him for good. The plot is very engaging and gripping. The book has been narrated well. It's a roller coaster ride full of suspense and unexpected twists. I enjoyed reading the climax in the end. The book kept me hooked to it throughout. The book emphasizes on how one incident can turn someone's life upside down and how we can deal it with hope & strength. The police continues to investigate the case and find the culprit behind the unfortunate incident, while Natasha continues to recieve threatening letters with name "Anonymous" who is playing with her mental health. The story has kept me thrilled throughout as Natasha finds the connection between many unanswered questions related to her past and present.
