Amazing games that only take about 5 minutes of class time. I did these the first week of school and my students are so comfortable with each other. Excellent team building!

Introduction
Why Play? - This chapter game me some of what I looked for in other play books, even Deep Play.
Some interested stories, such as those of intelligent dolphin play, leaped out at me.

Nine Ways to Play

Terrific Tag (reflexes, thinking on your feet)
Happy Helpers (character development)
Beautiful Balances (interdependence, harmony)
Creative Coordination (interdependence)
Meaningful Movements (emotional development)
Crazy Challenges (persistence, team esteem)
Ridiculous Relays (cooperation, teamwork skills)
Silly Sports (moral development)
Goofy Games (just for fun)

Nine ways to play. A new game everyday.

How shall we play today?

Kagan, S. (Dr). (2000). Silly sports & goofy games. San Clemente, CA: Kagan Publishing.

Full of fun-to-play games that require little to no preparation, all the while enabling the kids to get up on their feet and move around, which is what they look forward to do but seldom get to do. Through these games, it builds rapport between teacher and pupils, and strengthens the bonds between pupils. Also great for use for adults as well who are still young-at-heart. Amazing stuff.
