“Meow!”
There it was.
The sound that made my knees buckle.
He purred, neck stretched, eyes half-lidded.
With those cat ears, in his hair.
And the tail, that he flicked.

A ray of sun in the drizzling rain. I’d been a traveler, floating adrift, while he’d stayed in one place. How was I supposed to know he’d become my anchor? My light. My everything. But would I ever become his?

***As a standalone romance, “Black” features detailed adult m/m content, a hurt/comfort relationship as well as "kitty play."

I should not read books set in my own country. I cannot read this and not think of all the things that don’t feel right to me. There’s also the fact that my country is boring and not exotic at all. So reading about it is not something I enjoy.

My thoughts so far:

- The brother in law is called Jan, which is a common Dutch name, in the 50s. Of course it could be an old family name, so okay, a man in his 30s called Jan, it could happen. It's just typical that the Dutch character in this book is called Jan, an old name. People don't call their kids that here these days.

- 5 year old kids do not nap. I can just imagine trying to get my 5 year old to nap.. nope not happening. (This has nothing to do with the Dutch thing, it just bothers me when kid stuff doesn’t add up)

I’m also really puzzled why this is set in the Netherlands. One of the MCs is American, the love interest is uhh… Korean I think. The only Dutch person so far is the boyfriend of the (American) sister.

Even the people in the diner speak English. Now I can tell you that in a small village in the Netherlands, people coming into a diner don’t just talk English. I know you can’t have people talking Dutch in this English book, it just bothers me because why have this take place in the Netherlands at all?

So far I’m really not enjoying the writing, so I think this is not the book for me.

(I know I'm being way too harsh, but it's difficult reading about your own country. I can't get my head to turn off)

The book begins with a very unexpected surprise and that pretty much changed everything I was expecting from this book —not that the blurb is particularly forthcoming with infos regarding the plot. Nonetheless, it took me a while to figure it out,. Actually, it was right before it was revealed anyway. *lol I won’t spoiler it tho, because everyone should experience this surprise alongside Tony.

Anyway. What was interesting and kind of refreshing with books like these was that for the first third of the book there was not even a hint that either of the mcs was into kink of any variety; so no club, no talk about it, not even an indication when we were alone with them in their minds.

And actually, they weren’t. They kind of stumbled into this together with a joke gift from Tony because, honestly, with his whole personality, Dima is such a cat. *lmao And man, did it work for them. In the end, tho this was not a Daddy/pet kind of dynamic they had going on like I wished they would’ve, only intense role-play for fun.

But their exploration of this new-found kink was hot! And honestly, once they started the book turned pretty heavy on the sex scenes.

So here we have two guys in their mid- to late twenties. Tony, a world wanderer, who’s visiting his sister in a small town at the Dutch coast and Dima, who feels safest in his home, with friends and an environment he knows best.

Both are not into the relationship thing. Tony because of his travels and freedom and Dima after a painful breakup a couple of years ago. Until… well, until they meet each other.

Christ. Dima was so much more than I’d expected. He was like a siren with the most seductive song, twirling me around his slender fingers and beckoning me closer.

[…] tongues dancing, dueling, fighting over who had the upper hand. Physically, it was me. But...really it was him, had been him from the moment we met.

Gawd I loved their size difference! And overall I loved reading this book and can absolutely recommend it. Not only for the kitten-role-play but also for the surprise revelation that is an important part of the plot throughout. Enjoy! ♡

And I love the cover. The simplicity of it. It doesn’t give you much on the first look but in hindsight tells you everything there is to know.

“Everything was...so colorful, so bright. People said I was talented.” […] “And then everything went black.”
“Then you came along,” […] “and showed me that even in the darkness, there is still light.”

The writing duo of Quin and Perin deliver a tender and passionate love story in their latest novel, Black. I’ve learned not to pigeonhole these talented writers, and I’ve given up trying to predict what they’ll deliver next. One thing I know I can count on? Beautifully written, unique stories with complex relationships and incredibly hot, creative sex.

I’ll admit, they had me at “kitty play”, and I couldn’t wait to see what Quin and Perin were going to do with that. Yes, it’s as adorable and deliciously erotic as it sounds. Lots of sweet, snuggly sexy-times, and all the fabulous panty-melting erotica I count on in a Quin and Perin romance.

Both men are strong and confident, and it’s incredible to see how Tony and Dima embrace the natural way their play evolves. We’re treated to some spectacular scenes between these two. The way Tony manhandles Dima is so sexy, and Dima’s descriptions of anal intercourse are no doubt some of the hottest things I’ve ever read.

As their relationship grows, their walls start to come down and we learn more about these incredible men. Sassy, brash and confident on the outside, when Dima assumes the role of kitten, he revels in the opportunity to be vulnerable. Slipping into the role of Master suits Tony’s natural strength, and caring for his kitty gives him the focus his life has been missing.

In the end, what knocks me out about Black is the story. This is an honest to god, masterfully told, romance. Through the intimacy they share, Tony and Dima grow as individuals, and as a couple. Watching them fall in love is incredible, but knowing they finally find peace… well it doesn’t get any better than that.

Cute and sad with a few sprinkles of hope, understanding and love between two characters who are strangers to love and not the relationship type.
Kinky and smutty. If you have yet to read the anything by these authors, you should know that Quin & Perin are known for their filthy sex-heavy books. I was a bit surprised by the sheer amount of plot in this book. But there is still really a lot of sex. Quite varied and oh so good. The kitten is just incredible 💞, that really sold me.

“Do you want me to be your kitty cat?” I asked, a purr vibrating in my voice. “Hm? Want me to use you as a scratching post?” My nails caught on his shirt as I pulled him down, promising so much more. 😳😳😳

“When’s the last time you came?” I paused only to tug his waistband down, freeing his cock. “I hope you saved a big load for me. Want you to glaze my fingers so I can taste you.” 🤤🤤🤤

All of this is woven together with such sad stories and the fact that people just suck. You guessed it, I once again shed many tears.

“People inflict a lot of pain. They’re dishonest, only care about themselves. I prefer animals. Cats, for example, they don’t pretend to be something they’re not. They are so honest it hurts, but at least they don’t betray you.” 😢😢😢

Dima and Tony have a wonderful dynamic together. I could picture their playing so well and how they react perfectly to each other's moods. So, why is it not 5 stars .... it lacks a little bit with the love stuff after all. Their love is there and yet it doesn't take up enough space in this book. Don't know how to explain it, to me it just feels like there's a little something missing.

My first book by Quin Perin and my first book with "kitty play" turned out to be not bad at all.

I enjoyed the relationship between Dima and Tony, opposites in so many ways. Dima can be a bit abrasive. He's not looking for a relationship after his last one ended badly, and we see early on that he's serious about that, but he's all for having a good time. Tony is a wanderer, in the country for a short time to visit his sister, and he is immediately taken with Dima's looks. Tony is a sweetheart and is soon enthralled with Dima, realizing why he puts up such a front. Tony starts to chip away at Dima's defenses, and both are in pretty deep before they know it, the question is will Tony be able to quit his wandering ways and will Dima be able to trust in Tony's feelings?

Most of the relationship takes place in Dima's apartment where they have A LOT of sex. The kitty role play was is something they stumble onto, not a lifestyle they're living, and they definitely have some fun, sexy-times with it. Tony is quite creative and sweet with the few outings they do have, as if he knows just what to do to make Dima fall even harder for him.

There are a few moments of doubt at the end. Dima needs to re-evaluate what's important to him and Tony realizes that he might just have to let him go, but it is a romance so all ends well.

As far as any dislikes, I did find myself eventually skimming over the sex scenes. There were a lot and they just felt repetitive by the last quarter of the book. I also found it odd that although once MC is from the UK (and also lived in Korea) and most secondary characters from the Netherlands, everyone speaks American English.

How dare this book be so good? The audacity! Purring with satisfaction and meowing with all the cuteness.

This was an incredible surprise and so satisfying to read. The growth of their relationship was adorable, as was Tony's care for Dima... My heart was filled with love for these two.

The kitty play scenes were wow, ( the tail, the ears and the collar🥵🥵🥵🥵) simply perfect, so well written and so natural, just like their relationship, and on the other hand, so romantic. The description of Tony's tattoos, the jealousy, the falling barriers... The very human way in which Tony treated Dima was pure boyfriend goals. The way he gives up his happiness so that Dima can live his dreams. ..this book is never focus on Dima’s disability but completely on him as a whole person, he was so independente and beautiful it hurts 🫶🖤

How there are people like Dima's ex is beyond my understanding...

The only thing i didn't like was that the ending was bit rushed, that the separation was quickly resolved, Yes, but I would have liked to have read more about Dima's final choice and the internal struggle until he returned.

The final scene on the bench... be still my heart :)

“Hey…” I heard from the side. I whipped my head in the voice’s direction. “I’ve seen you around a couple of times,” he said. My heart rate skyrocketed, goose bumps prickling against the ice-cold wind. I sobbed out a laugh, tears springing to my eyes. “I’m Dima, and you are?”
“I’m pleased to meet you.”

🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
Does my kitten want to be petted?”
      “Mew!”
He leaned down, lips grazing mine. “Does my kitten want to be kissed?”
“Mew!” I reached out, dragging my nails down his arm.
“Does my kitten want to be touched?” he asked huskily, hand dropping to palm my cock.
I bit back a moan, lashes fluttering. “Mew!”
His voice dropped to a lower rumble. “And does my kitten want to be fucked?”
      “MEOW!”
      The End

PS.I wish there were more😻

Oh boy I adored this read. Excellent writing style, clear and sharp as glass.

This journey is situated in the Netherlands my home sweet home, and even with a few Dutch lines! This can’t go wrong.

After years of traveling around the world Tony is at his sisters home, the only family in his life.
While walking the beach he sees the most beautiful guy sitting on a bench, this tiny Asian beauty just the opposite of the bulk Tony is.

Dima just love to be taken by a big and rough handed man and Tony is exactly that.
No strings, only a good hot scorching night, that’s the plan he has with Tony.
Dima will never let anyone get close, it only hurts and he just want to get hurt in other, delicious ways.
Tony has other plans and is somewhat obsessed by Dima and kind of strong pushy.
Somehow our feisty little thing, with his witty filthy mouth can’t get enough of a certain husky persisted voice.

When that first purr came out of a mouth and calmed a raging storm, omg that was quite overwhelming. Jesus Christ there were parts so arousing I think I moaned out loud... oeps
Together they are hot hot. Be prepared for some delicious, steamy scenes!!

Dima has a way with humor, I really adored it how he handle things. Tony always in good mood is very protective and considerate never pushing Dima to tell his fears or past
When Dima gets the opportunity of his life there are some disturbing conditions!
Tony knows exactly what will give Dima his ultimate happiness. Fuuuuuuccck

Well there was I again, between all the scorching hot scenes, me crying like a baby when the heavy emotional parts revealed before my eyes. I cried my eyes out.

This story, woww, wonderful balancing between smut, kitty kink, sexiness, emotions and love. The lines measured with exactly the right length, so they were instantly an imprint.
A perfect bubble was build around Dima and Tony, all other things were just noise.

My heart did strange things while reading.
The plot was more than stunning... with a perfect loaded title! It will blow you away!!

A journey so masterful put together, it grabbed me by my guts, made me throb and tremble, shattered my heart, blurred my eyes and kept me awake all night because I couldn’t close this read before I was finished!

A Masterpiece!

Loved, loved, LOOOOOVED this book. Dima was the absolute perfect kitten, needing to be slowly coaxed into trusting. After being hurt in the past, and having his own set of challenges, Dima was understandably hesitant to give his heart again, but Tony was so perfect and patient in winning Dima over. Tony, oh Tony-- can you say big, hot, beefcake? These two were absolutely fantastic together and this story was not only off the charts hot, but had so much heart as well. This was the first book I've read by Quin and Perin but it certainly won't be the last. The imagery and word choice they both used had me completely sucked into the story from the first page. Seriously could not have loved this book more.

MEOW! Sometimes these kink-specific books really rev my engine and sometimes they totally squick me out. This definitely worked for me. Hot and sweet. The storyline was well done and the romance was believable. The book wasn’t perfect, but really really good for this kind of book.

DNF @ 33%.....I just can’t keep going with this. The writing style doesn’t work for me—it is too simplistic and riddled with vague generalities, relying on stereotypes.

This is set in the Netherlands—but it could be anywhere. Amazingly everyone knows to speak English to the two MCs in this small coastal town.

Dima and Tony, The MCs do NOTHING for me. I don’t like Dima—he’s rude. I know the authors are trying to give him a cat-like personality, but these traits seem OTT in this narrative. Tony, the ex-lawyer and now world traveler seems like an idiot.

I was ready to DNF at 10% but held out because of rave reviews and because this was the first kitty-play book I’ve ever read. Well, at 33% there is still no kitty play although Dima did crawl across the floor, scratched Tony’s back, rubbed his cheek again his face and purred.

I decided that I didn’t care enough for the characters nor the writing style to keep going. These were NTM authors and I was very disappointed with the experience. I highly doubt I’ll read anything by the authors in the future.

Meow! This book is different from anything I've ever read before. Everyone has heard of puppy play but kitty play seems unheard of. That needs to change! Kitty play is super sweet and sassy. This book is a bit angsty especially in the beginning but it's all worth it. The emotions were real and palpable and I nearly cried several times throughout this book. The intimate scenes were beyond hot and I really loved the progression of Dima and Tony's relationship over the course of the book. Plus I'm a sucker for a HEA and Black definitely provides. I definitely highly recommend this book.

"Then you came along, and showed me that even in the darkness, there is still light"

" Black, is a sexy but heartbreaking romance with a kink that you don't want to miss out! Tony set a high standard as a book boyfriend and no one's more perfect for Dima. This book will break your heart, and warmth it at the same time!"

These authors are getting better and better. I never a fan of this kink before. But Quin Perin wrote a steamy hot story, but also a heartbreaking one and made me wanted to cursed them for making me too involved with Dima and Tony!

Started out as a fling, Dima and Tony found each other like a perfect puzzle. Tony fallen for. Dima, hard.
But what about Dima? He had been through a lot in a past, and he still had a dream to achieve. Will Tony enough to make him stay, or?

Black is hot steamy romance with a twist. Prepare for some tissues, and don't read in public!

DNF or maybe later?
I was expecting a light hearted book... and this wasn’t necessarily dark but it also wasn’t super fluffy. I also thought he would know what kitty play was but they figured it out together. It seems like a good book it’s just different than the books Quin writes so I was surprised, especially after reading some of other kitty play books.

"Meow."

I'd expected the deliciously dirty, but who knew these guys could be so sweet?

"If he only knew what he did to me. How he controlled the rhythm of my heart."

There was so much emotion in this story. Hurt/comfort is totally my cup of tea and this fed that thirst with an edge. Kitten play is new to me and holy freak did this story spotlight this kink in the very best way.

Tony was a wanderer. He fell into step in the life his father had wanted for him, but he wasn't made to be a lawyer. After traveling the world, his sister called him home and he went. And he found Dima in a small cafe in a small town living a dim life.

Dima had his fair share of pain and wasn't looking for more. Nothing with feelings involved. Purely physical was all he needed. Until Tony shined a light on him and suddenly he could see a life with more.

It wasn't hard to fall in love with Dima right away. He had snark and fight and passion. I loved the way he rationalized his feelings in his head and how utterly shameless he was. His character brought so much fun to the story and he was heart-breakingly perfect.

Tony couldn't have been more perfect for a man like Dima. He was honest and supportive and seriously... a man with that many tattoos, long hair AND a beard. Come on.

I was wowed and humbled by the story line. I cheered and laughed, and as much as I hate to admit, my throat did tighten up at the end. I absolutely loved how they just accidentally fell into a kink that neither had planned, but worked so perfectly.

This book had a ton of feelings, a ton of kink, a well thought out story, and a romance to swoon over. It's absolutely going to be one that I'll go back to and read over and over. Very well done.

Something New

From the very beginning the story and characters grab your attention. This book is new and refreshing like nothing I have ever read before. The storyline alone I just loved but then add the personalities of the characters and it makes the story that much better. Quin and Perin really know how to mix kink with a beautiful story line

Quin&Perin’s novel Black is a true testimony of love breaking down barriers to thrive.

This story was more than kink, more than love and friendships. This story delved into many unknown territories.

We grew and developed as these characters did.

We saw what unconditional love truly is. It’s a beautiful melding of two souls completing one another.

Love has no limits, and Quin&Perin did not shy away from it. This book was written beautifully.

Quin&Perin have ruined all future book boyfriends in the best way possible. No others can compare to Tony. The bar the authors made is unreachable.

You will want Tony and Dima. You can’t have Tony though. He’s safely in my Book Boyfriend Dungeon.

Ah, Tony and Dima. And yay for kitty play! What fun! I LOVE reading about kinks because of the added intimacy, and this was no exception. Not only did this shine with Q&P's particular brand of edgy-sexy, but this story was MOVING. Told in alternating first person POV, we really got to know both MC's and their flaws intimately. This story was full of depth and layers and I can't wait to read it again!

ARC provided by the publisher through Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words in exchange for an impartial review.

I am so far in the minority on this story, I'm in the subbasement.

Dima was finishing a modeling job when but his manager and lover left him high and dry in the Netherlands and never looked back. He was going through a personal hell at the time (one the authors don't want mentioned in the review), but even though left to fend for himself, he makes the best of his situation and begins work as a baker for a small pastry shop not far from his apartment. Lunchtime always finds him by the seaside enjoying the fresh air, even when the weather is brisk. Fiercely independent, he wants no man in his life for more than one night. Never again will he allow himself to be vulnerable and dependent on one person.

Tony comes to town to visit his sister. She’s a single mom and has a great boyfriend—Jan, the man who owns the bakery where the handsome and elusive Dima works. An American and a journalist and author, Tony has let his vagabond spirit take him all over the world, but once he meets Dima and talks him into intimacy the first time, he starts to rethink his need for travel.

From the moment the two meet, their passion for each other explodes in sex and they quickly move from frottage to anal and add a little kink to their passion when Tony decides Dima’s love of scratching him in bed deserves a set of cat ears. They add more to their kink play as the story goes on so those who enjoy erotica with a twist should like this story.

My rating is low primarily because I didn’t like either character. At all. No matter how involved they became with each other and no matter how much they changed and became romantically involved, neither man felt real and neither man held my interest. Most of the story took place in bed—or other locations around the apartment—where they had mad, passionate, and very descriptive (and lengthy) sex sessions. The sex scenes became boring. I enjoy kink, including puppy play, and the kitty kink was a nice twist on that, but the overall impression I was left with was that these men were lucky to be able to walk when they stood upright—which wasn’t often. Giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe love can grow after hot, hard, toss-him-around sex. Who knows?

Tony didn’t feel three-dimensional to me, at all. I can only recall he’s blond, had tattoos, is American and has a big you know what—naturally!—and he used it constantly. Dima was independent and self-contained, until it came to Tony. He was small, slender, with long hair and was described as beautiful outside and in. He had the potential to be a loveable character, but I didn’t feel any warmth toward him and neither were characters who will remain memorable after I post the review.

I don’t doubt that others found this story and these men appealing. And I assume most readers will enjoy the dynamic and the sex and the sex and the sex. It just wasn’t the book for me.

Who knew one little word could hold so much meaning?
There’s so much I want to say about Tony and Dima but I don’t like posting spoilers.
Quit and Perin did amazing work with this book.
I’m so in love with every page I read.
The hurt/comfort, the kink, the pure passion and emotions that linked the two MCs together was absolutely electric.

Wow!!!! I can’t tell you how much I loved this book as it was a completely different feel to Quin & Perin’s other books, so much more romance. I was so shocked when I realised why this book is called Black, it was a brilliant twist.
I read this book in one sitting and it’s now 1.20am and I’m absolutely sobbing my heart out, the last chapters actually hurt my heart so much I couldn’t see my Kindle through my tears. The actual Kitty kink I wasn’t expecting to be so hot but that really is such a small part of this beautiful love story. Dima and Tony will stay with me for such a long time and I’m sure that I will revisit again and again.

Ah, Dima and Tony!!! The authors have written a beautiful, poignant, powerful, bittersweet, charming, lovely, grab-you-by-the-feels, heartbreaking yet hopeful, smoking hot, and totally awesome tale. Quin & Perin have a knack for taking a relatively unknown kink, and turning it into a beautiful, emotional story that had me hooked from beginning to end.

This has the perfect balance of hurt/comfort and kink.

I loved Dima from the beginning, so confident and snarky on the outside, but vulnerable because of his blindness.

Also the kitty play was 🔥🔥
Not really my thing, but enjoyed it all the same.

4.5 out of 5 stars, only because the ending felt a little rushed and unresolved, with Dima just leaving his ex at the airport.

CW and tropes:
- blind mc
- baker mc and traveler/wanderer mc
- kitty play
- strict top/bottom
- asshole ex
- small town
- Asian rep
- hurt/comfort
- jealous/possessive mc

Wow!! Where to even begin… this one was a rollercoaster and really put my poor heart through the wringer. There’s so much that’s surprising (amazing plot twists that completely threw me), new and exciting (purr purr) and original in this story. What a breath of fresh air!

I think this is also the most romantic story so far by these authors. It has some incredibly sweet moments that just about made me melt, though it never becomes overly mushy or predictable.
I’m so in love with these characters. They have a very tender and loving connection, though the loved-up part certainly doesn’t make either Tony or Dima any less kinky. They have amazing chemistry together. I loved the kitty play and how they fell into that so naturally and playfully. I’ve never read anything like it! It’s a perfect match for Dima’s independent streak and teasingly sensual nature and Tony’s innate need to care for Dima every way he can.

Dima is very feisty and prickly at first, he really makes Tony work for it. For Tony, it’s a love at first sight type of thing and he’s basically over the moon for Dima, captivated by him for the very first moment. Tony’s determined to be a gentleman and show Dima that he cares for him, because he knows he’s found his person. Dima has walls up, however. He’s been badly hurt in the past and doesn’t want to risk his heart again. Their speeds and intentions clash, but they get there in the end. Even with bumps in the road, like the total douchebag of an ex who can’t stay in the past where he belongs, turning up again like a bad penny. Grrr…

I loved the unusual setting. It’s so nice to have a story set in Europe, though not in the typical locations such as France or England, but instead in the Netherlands. It was such fun to see little bits of Dutch thrown in here and there. I also greatly enjoyed all the secondary characters, who really helped to create a world of family and friends around our MC’s. An amazing supporting cast! Little Leslie and Zoe are my personal favorites.

Absolutely recommend.

I was so excited to read Black from the moment I heard about it. I was lucky enough to get an ARC and I can honestly say my excitement for it pales in comparison to how much I loved Black.

Tony goes to the Netherlands to visit his sister, having not seen her in a few years. While he is there he comes across someone, who he later finds out is Dima, on the beach and becomes captivated by him. Dima is broken...so he thinks, and doesn’t want a relationship. Tony works his way under Dima’s skin in so many ways towards trying to get their happily ever after - with both Dima and his own pasts getting in their way.

Black, even without the kitty play, would have been an amazing read because the interaction between Dima and Tony is brilliant. Add in the kitty play and Quin and Perin have outdone themselves. Dima is the perfect kitten, as you can tell from his demeanour as soon as we meet him. I love him and Tony together and felt like I went on Dima’s emotional rollercoaster with him. I wanted to gather him up in a giant hug and lecture Tony to make sure he took care of him properly because his story hurt my heart (in a good ‘I’ve become emotionally invested in this story kind of way’).

Go and read Black - you won’t regret it...and it’s a story who’s characters will stay with me long after I have finished and that will call for reread after reread to get to spend more time with them.

ARC provided by the author for an honest review.

This book was so, so much more than some kinky kitty play novel. I'm just in awe of it. It follows Tony-a wander whose found his way to his sister; and Dima-a prickly but beautiful baker. They meet, they fall in lust and slowly transitions to a beautiful and heart aching love. It's rare in these romance novels that the MCs don't actually use the "l-word" with each other but, we get to read about the actions. Though we don't see a ton of the supporting cast when, they're around you get a sense for their stories as well. Nothing feels like a "very special moment".

As far as the kink goes, it's so well done and actually doesn't over take the entire story. Tony and Dima are more than their shared kink and it's refreshing. I enjoyed this slow-burn romance more than I can say and it has some of the most beautiful writing I've read since rock by Anyta Sunday. I wish I could get into some of the surprises into the novel, it's better to just read it yourself. The beginning has kind of a slow, establishing start but once Tony and Dima meet the romance takes off.

This was my first book from Quin Perin and I'm delighted with their writing style and will be reading their other books.

Quin&Perin have outdone themselves with this book. It proves once again why they are called genre rebels. This is more than romance, more than kink; this is journey that will have you laughing, smiling and even crying. The depth these two authors manage is astounding.

The character development is beyond detailed. I want so much to meet these characters. Tony is swoon-worthy. However it’s more than that. It’s the fact Quin&Perin know how to pair characters together. Dima, well, let’s just say the authors know how to temper confidence with vulnerability. It goes beyond those two characters though. Each secondary character is so well described that I could easily imagine meeting them in real life. World building is flawless in this book and incredibly vivid. I’ve barely traveled and yet Quin&Perin were able to construct a setting that made me feel as if I was actually there.

The storyline held me emotionally hostage. I didn’t want to let it go. On one hand I needed to know what happened and on the other I never wanted it to end. I want more of them. I need it. The unexpected twists, the way the authors can weave romance and kink and add even more magic to the story—I love it. As always with these authors expect off the chart sizzling scenes as well. If you’re looking for a book that will keep you engaged, is completely original and brimming with emotion, look no further!

5 stars for an original, emotional provocative and steamy read!

One that is going on my short 're-read' list. Super cute in places, angst ridden in others and did I mention the sex? Phew (fans herself). This is a 'stay up to read' book with all the 'feels'.

A world traveler returns to see his sister and meets a guy who immediately takes his breath away.
Big bearded, tattoo guy meets stunning slender small snarky guy. Big guy, Tony, is a romantic at heart, snarky guy, Dima, is commitment phobic. Sounds like a familiar plot right? Well, it is, and the kitty play adds a dimension to the naughty bits... but there is so much more to this story.

I can't say to much more without giving away the 'ANGST' plot, but that twist turns the book from a nice, 'mildy kinky' highly erotic feel good romance into an intriguing page turner.

Style is flawless and world building is great. Bravo, gentlemen.
