I had a problem with this book. It was interesting and informative, lots of really charming stories about a perfect brush stroke and so on. Reading it was very pleasurable, but quite frustrating at the same time for me, because most of the pictures the author was describing doesn't exist any longer. I really need pictures if a book is about art. Generally, I think it was a good book, but for somebody much more patient than me.
