Amelia Hutchins - A Demon's Plaything (The Elite Guards #2.5)
Lilith has spent her life in the ruins of her mother’s court that the Horde destroyed. Summoned to her father’s court, her entire world is turned upside down. Her father has offered her to the Horde to pay the tithe owed to them, and she’d rather die before bowing to the Horde, but if she intends to keep her secrets, she will kneel to the murderous Horde who destroyed her kingdom, and left it in ruins.
Asrian agreed to take one for the team, to marry one of the elusive, wanted brides of the lesser courts. He expected a spoiled, pampered princess, and anything other than what he finds waiting for him in the Shadow Court.
Pippa DaCosta - Deep Blue Sea (Heartstone Thief #1.5)

As the most ruthless and cunning of her sisters, Blue is a legend among her kind. But on this night, when the sea delivers the sirens a stricken merchant vessel, Blue discovers a thief among the crew. A thief with a warm heart and a troubled past.
And now Blue has a Kill a good man... or Lose her voice! Forever!
Tate James - The Hellhound's Legion (Kit Davenport #6.5)
Join Kit and her new husbands as they face the high courts of Hell to answer for River's dual nature as a Hellhound.
C.M. Stunich - The Heart Cantrip (Family Spells #2.5)
Valentine’s Day always brings hordes of humans and supernaturals to my shop in search of love.
Me? I have just about as much of that as I can handle. There’s Hex, the motorcycle riding half-demon douche; Argent, the Unseelie Prince I stole from faerie; Spectre, the vampire rockstar; Caine, the Southern alpha werewolf. And then there’s Monster, an enigma of cruelty that I should cut from my life and never look back on.
But when an out-of-control orgy taints the magic in my special heart cantrip bath bombs, we all have to work together to keep a human-turned-incubus from terrorizing the city.
Because, well, we’re the Family Spells, and the family that casts together… hunts and destroys demons together. What can I say? It’s just that heartwarming.
G. Bailey & Coralee June - Eternal Hearts (Forsaken Gods #1.5)
Being a Valkyrie isn’t easy, not when two gods steal your heart and the goddess of love is currently dead… And looking for her replacement is more impossible than I thought.
I’m Val, best friend to the goddess of death and her harem of gods. When love starts disappearing from the world on Valentine’s Day, my leaders give me a side mission that is doomed to fail!:
Find the new god of love before Valentine's Day is over! or Lose my powers for good!
If only finding the god were easy and the two gods… I’m not allowed to love would stop getting in my way… Who said being a Valkyrie would mean giving up your heart?
Annette Marie - A Damsel And A Demigod (The Guild Spellbound #0.5)

Graceley Knox is a USA Today bestselling author of over 35 novels featuring wicked paranormal and fantasy romances, and the founder of Paper Myths Media. Graceley has been in the publishing industry for over twelve years in some way or another, wearing pretty much every hat other than that of editor and cover designer (Although give her a minute, and she might change that last part!).
She’s also 100% addicted to coffee and snarky mugs, and is determined to one day have a library that would make Belle cry. As a self-professed book-obsessed word witch, Graceley is fascinated with witchcraft, mythology, lore, and, of course, fantasy worlds! When she’s not caught up in her current hyper-fixation (shout out to her fellow ADHD Warriors!) she’s either writing books or reading them… Or talking about them, or taking photos of them for her bookstagram.
Graceley is also a Ravenclaw who’s been known to binge-watch tv-shows featuring strong female leads while cuddling with her fur-babies.
She loves to connect with fellow bibliophiles on social media, so stop by and say hello!
I received this anthology from one of the authors in exchange of an honest review. But reading only one of the stories seemed like a waste and boy, am I glad I decided to read the rest! Most of them were pretty entertaining and some even got me to look up the series they belong to. So in the end this only added to my TBR pile. *sigh* I will never manage to clear that up. But hey, new worlds to explore are always a bonus!
How to Capture a Demon's Heart by Graceley Knox & D.D. Miers 5 stars
This short story really caught my attention and set the bar pretty high for the rest of the stories I was unfamiliar with. I really wish this was part of a series or at least that it was set in an established world as the limited information we get made it seem so fascinating. The demons and angels and the alluded war between them has so much potential it’ll be a sin to be left unexplored!
A Demon's Plaything by Amelia Hutchins 4 stars
Part of the The Elite Guards series, A Demon’s Plaything shows an original (from my POV) take on the Fae and their courts. I had some trouble accepting some of what happened in this as forced marriages always leave a bit of a bad taste in my mouth but everything else was just down my alley. If the story was longer, I would probably have ended up giving it 5 stars as it would have had the time t actually develop the characters and the story. As it is it got me to add the first book of the series to my tbr list and to prioritize it to ‘read in the next couple of months’. So I guess that’s a win ;)
Deep Blue Sea by Pippa DaCosta 5 stars The Heartstone Thief is one of my favourite fantasy books so I jumped at the chance to read this story ahead of publication.
Deep Blue Sea takes place shortly after the end of The Heartstone Thief but it can be enjoyed as a standalone. Still I believe it will make a much bigger impact if you're familiar with Curtis Vance and his story so far.
This was hauntingly beautiful story and I got teary-eyed close to the end. And I wasn't sure for whom I felt more sad about - Vance or Blue. I'm still not over what happened with Shaianna so seeing the similar pattern with Blue made my heart ache. Vance has changed a lot in the course of just 1.5 books and I'm so very curious to hear the rest of his song ;)
The Hellhound's Legion: A Kit Davenport Novella by Tate James 3.5 stars (mostly because the story skipped the part I most anticipated *sigh* such disappointment)
Kit Davenport has popped up on my radar many times over the last few years and following this I will most definitely read it. Sure I’m spoiled for the way things end as this is like an epilogue for the series but from all that was said it seemed like it was one hell of a ride. And it’s a Reverse Harem series so I must at least give it a try!
Another story that made me look up the series it belongs to. I think I loved Monster the Demon Prince most and now I can’t wait to find out more about him and what the heck is going on between the demons and witches of that world. The story itself was funny and had some incredibly hot scenes. But what really caught me was the humour *snickers* genitalia-shaped bath bombs *snort*
This had sooooo much potential but about halfway in I started skimming. I don’t know why but I just didn’t feel the story. It was interesting enough to want to see how things will progress but between the weird feeling of disconnection and the fact that I figured out what will happen in the first 2-3 chapters… well let’s just say I was not impressed.
I love Greek mythology so I was sold two seconds after mentioning Perseus. Add a couple of fascinating glimpses of worldbuilding and two rather mysterious in their motivations main characters and it was insta-love.
The Fox and the Wolf by Clara Hartley 2.5 stars
Usually I love shifters but this was a chore to read. The reason why I didn’t give up was that it was the last story of this otherwise amazing anthology and I kept hoping I will start liking it. Because you see there was nothing wrong with it. By all accounts I should have enjoyed it (for that alone it gets 0.5 stars) and I still can’t figure out why I was so bored. It kind of makes me feel guilty as I usually know why I don’t like something. But you can’t help the way you feel so I ended up skimming more than 70% of this story.
* This is a review for the story: A Damsel And A Demigod (The Guild Codex: Spellbound #0.5) By Annette Marie.
This was such a cute story! I loved seeing a little bit of the guys before they ever met Tori. Making Kai the main point of view for this was also a great choice because he was the more forgettable main character out of the 3 guys for me. I liked being in his head and seeing everything from his eyes. The adventure was fun, fast paced and action packed. I wonder if we're eventually going to see Izzah in future Guild Codex: Spellbound novels. Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I would love to get a story from Erza's perspective in the future!
Let's just be honest, most anthologies are underwhelming at best. This one is already worth the money because it's for charity.
But you are getting the deal of the year with this collection. It releases Feb 9th! So go order yours right now!
I wanted to tell you all about this amazing collection, even though I've honestly not read them all yet. A girl can only take so much Valentine's Day.
But MERMAIDS! Drowning man-eating sirens of the sea! I don't know about you, but that is exactly how I want to celebrate VDay. Not everyone can write a successful short story. It's difficult to provide enough world building and character development in so few words. Pippa killed it. I wanted to reread the story as soon as I was done. And I may have gone back to immediately reread The Heartstone Thief, which is why I haven't finished the anthology yet. But I will!
This is definitely an Anthology worth reading, not only is it full of love, just in time for Valentine’s Day, but every story is a good one and the proceeds go to charity! How to Capture A Demon’s Heart is a sweet story. I really like the characters and the storyline was original. A Demon’s Plaything is a fantastic story! I absolutely love the characters and the storyline. It’s sexy and intriguing, I definitely want to read more! Deep Blue Sea is an interesting read, with sirens, magic and thief. I am interested in reading the rest of the story. The Hellhound’s Legion is written by an author I’ve read a lot from. This is a Kit Davenport Novella and who doesn’t LOVE Kit and her guys?! And boy is it one you should definitely read, I need more Mrs. James! Absolutely fantastic story and makes me want to do another re-read of the series. The Heart Cantrip is written by another author very familiar to me, C.M. Stunich and is a Novella for her Family Spells series. I am soooo excited for the next book in this series because the characters are freaking awesome, and Caitlin’s writing in this story is hilarious. I’m positive you will enjoy this novella as much as I do. Eternal Heart is one I have been excited to read, I love CoraLee June and G. Bailey. This is part of the Forsaken Gods series, which is amazing. These two are both amazing writers and when they collaborate on a project magic happens! A Damsel and A Demigod is also written by an author I don’t know. But after this action packed story of mages trying to catch a renowned thief, I definitely want to read more of her works The Fox and The Wolf is again written by an unknown to me author. But the story is good, action, mystery and definitely love.
Love Potion: A Valentine's Day Charity Anthology is a great collection of stories for this Valentine’s Day.
Review for Eternal Heart by G. Bailey and CoraLee June Absolutely loved Val in in Eternal Soul, so I was so excited to read more about her in this short story. Val is a Valkyrie with a mission to find the god of love before the end of Valentine's, otherwise she lose her powers for good. Now if only it was that simple.
An interesting set of stories! I love romance stories and Pippa DaCosta’s is excellent. If you like romance you will enjoy these well written stories!I One is a remember story which I really enjoyed. I have a mixed feelings about some of the stories as I do not usually read stories with multiple partners. Not my cup of tea. There are very explicit scenes so reader beware.
This was a great collection of short stories! I loved the additional stories of my favorite series, my absolute favorite being Pippa DaCosta’s Blue. Stellar writing! Great afternoon getaway, thank you for the opportunity to review these gems!
I only read the Amelia Hutchins book! Man can she write! If you have read the Fae books I’d definitely pick this one up! I’m interested in seeing what is to come from some of the brothers and who they find.
Review: A Demon's Plaything - Amelia Hutchins (it is the only book I read in the series)
Lilith is a strong heroine. If you like badass girls and alphaholes you will love this one. It does pertain to arranged marriages but do not let that put you off - trust me if you read this one you will be searching Amelia's name and getting the entire series as it draws you in. It is fast paced and a great read. Be sure to start with the Fae Chronicles it will make this story that much more epic.
Loved this little get together of awesomeness. Especially Annette Marie's short story. Go buy this book, it is for a very special cause and the stories are really fun to read. All profits are donated.
Love potion is anthology ready for our lovers all around (Valentines Day is around the corner you know). And there are stories from some of my favourite RH authors; G.Bailey, C.M Stunich and Tate James just to name a few. One of my fav stories in the anthology is Eternal Heart from G.Bailey and Coralee June. Its a spin off novella from the Forsaken Gods series featuring our very own sassy Val, best friend to Hela. Val has her very on ménage with Herc and Broc and being Valentines Day you can imagine the theme - LOVE! Even though it’s forbidden for a Valkyrie to intermingle with the Gods, she does just that! I won’t spoil it for you so pick up the anthology to find out!
Absolutely LOVED reading Val’s story in Eternal Heart! I wanted to know more about the Valkyrie when I read Eternal Soul. She is fun, interesting and I totally have a thing for Valkyries! Definitely an awesome group of reads in this story! Highly recommend picking this up!
I bought this for A Damsel and a Demigod. I gave 4 stars for the entire book because I have yet to read the other stories. Annette's short gets 5 stars though. Kai is awesome and I love those mages! Best line goes to Aaron! Also loved the Greek mythology in the story.
I really enjoyed this book! There are 8 stories in this book, so let's get started.

First off, five stars for doing a charity anthology. The tales and the editing, however, are a mixed bag. It did introduce me to an author whose books I purchased for my unending TBR stack. There is also a story by an author I was already a fan of (and the reason I purchased this anthology). However, half the tales left a lot to be desired, in my opinion.
Here is my take on each of the stories, with ratings in both stars and if it was a movie:
1. How to Capture a Demon's Heart - Graceley Knox & D.D. Miers 2 stars -- Rated R for violence, sexual situations, and some language I felt like this story had an interesting concept, (a rogue marshal and a demon walk into a bar) but the EDITING! Holy cow! It was like reading a really rough draft. It had everything from typos, to incorrect word usage, to places where the authors seemed to be debating which word they wanted to use (and went with both).
2. A Demon's Plaything - Amelia Hutchins 2 stars -- Rated R-17 for language and sexual situations This was your run-of-the-mill arranged marriage story, where the characters are determined to hate each other, yet (typically) find themselves in love before the week is out. Like "Capture a Demon's Heart," this tale also suffered from poor editing. There were numerous typos and sentences that simply made no sense at all. Worse (in my opinion), every single character curses continuously. I felt like the author used vulgarity to pad her word count. I got so tired of it, I skipped to the next story before reaching the end.
Deep Blue Sea - Pippa DaCosta 5 stars -- PG-13 for brief violence This story was atmospheric, a tad creepy, and not at all what you'd expect in a Valentine's anthology. Ms DaCosta is an excellent storyteller. The editing was spot on and the characters well developed. These sirens/mermaids are more Greek epic and less fairy tale, which is a refreshing change of pace.
The Hellhound's Legion: A Kit Davenport Novella - Tate James 1 star -- Rated X for graphic sex I know this author has books on the best seller lists, but blatant porn is not my cup of tea, thanks all the same. I didn't even make it a quarter of the way through this one before I moved on.
The Heart Cantrip: a Family Spells Novella - C.M. Stunich 1 star -- Rated X for graphic sex Again, blatant porn.
Eternal Hearts - A Forsaken Gods Series Novella - G. Bailey & Coralee June 4 stars -- PG-13 for adult themes After getting blindsided with two hard-core porn stories, I was trepidatious about this one. However, I was relieved the author was willing to leave some things up to MY imagination. The story itself was a smidge predictable, but the authors' take on mythology (most of the immortals had completely different roles) was interesting.
A Damsel and a Demigod (The Guild Codex: Spellbound) - Annette Marie 5 stars -- PG-13 for intense action and mild adult themes I bought the anthology to get this particular story about a secondary character in the "Guild Codex" series. You don't need to read the series to understand what is going on here, and it's a great introduction to the "Codex" world. The author has great attention to detail, and a great editor.
The Fox and the Wolf - Clara Hartley 3 stars -- PG 13 for violence, child abuse themes, mild language I thought this final offering was an interesting take on the star-crossed lovers theme, but I'm of mixed feelings about the amnesia angle. It was difficult to tell how old the characters were. The 'childhood flashbacks' seemed to portray characters in the 12-14 age category yet we discover the characters were supposed to be under 10. The 'present day' scenes vacillated between the characters being young teens, young adults, or possibly middle-aged. I feel like, with more development, this could become a great story.
Love Potion is a fantastic charity anthology with stories by ten of your favorite paranormal authors; G. Bailey, Pippa DaCosta, Clara Hartley, Amelia Hutchins, Tate James, Coralee June, Graceley Knox, Annette Marie, D.D. Miers, and last but certainly not least one of my personal favorites, C.M. Stunich. The dedication and cause alone are worthy of the 99cents. The hours of great reading are the icing on your Valentine treats.
How to Capture a Demon's Heart by Graceley Knox & D.D. Miers, 4 stars Darcy is finished with her ex. Too bad he's a bit obsessed. She wants to run her bar and hang out with her regulars. But when a sexy, bored Ranger shows up and hates her ex as much as she does, she soon finds herself in the middle of a demon-hunter battle. Likable characters, engaging storyline
A Demon's Plaything by Amelia Hutchins, 5 stars Lilith is Heir to two lesser fae courts but her life has not been one of a pampered princess. After her mother's murder, she was banished from her father's sight and has lived with only her sister in her mother's ruined court. Now given as payment for her father's tithe to a prince of the Horder she is expected to produce an heir within the year. Lilith expects a monster, Her new husband expects a spoiled brat; both expect to hate the other. Instead, they find their match an then some. I loved this story even if it was a bit confusing at times. The characters, the world-building, history, and the coming war all make for an entertaining read. I am not familiar with this author or her previous works, but I will be finding more of her books.
Deep Blue Sea by Pippa DaCosta
The Hellhound's Legion: A Kit Davenport Novella by Tate James 5 stars It's been three years since Kit faced off with her mother and saved the world. It's been challenging and she and her guys are overdue for a vacation. Off to Australia for some rest, relaxation, surfing, and sexy times, they don't seem to be able to avoid trouble. When payment comes due for River's past, the vacation is put on hold. Kit will either save her guy or burn down hell trying. The Kit Davenport series is one of my very favorite RH series. I adore Kit and want all of her dianoch. I would read about Kit and her guys going grocery shopping if it was offered. This was so much better than a trip to the grocery, although Caleb did go pie shopping! My only complaint is that it was a novella. I'm too greedy.
The Heart Cantrip: a Family Spells Novella by C.M. Stunich, Unrated, although I'm sure it's outstanding. I want to wait until I have read the next book What The Hex before reading this novella.
Eternal Hearts - A Forsaken Gods Series Novella by G. Bailey & Coralee June, 5 star Val wants what she can't have. Broderick and Hercules. But she's a Valkyrie, a terrible one at that, and they are gods. So no. And now the Valkyrie Leadership Council has decided that her reputation for seducing gods makes her the best choice to find the human who will be the new god of love. If she's not successful, she will be stripped of her powers, she will be made a mortal. Luckily she has two gods and a bestie goddess all willing to help her find love. Fantastically fun and sexy little story. I love Val. I love her sass and the fact she's always happily naked. I love how Broderick and Hercules excel at sharing and embrace the challenge of who is best at seducing Val. I love Hel and their close friendship.
A Damsel and a Demigod (The Guild Codex: Spellbound) by Annette Marie
Love is in the air! It is everywhere! It leaves you with a fussy warm feeling inside smiling helplessly. 💕 G. Bailey & CoraLee June ~Eternal hearts Oh my! Love love love! One of my faves! Goddesses, Valkyries, and friendships. Everything leads to LOVE. Goddess Love is dead and is up to Val to find a replacement fast or earth will be chaos. In the process she is secretly fighting the attraction and love she feels with her two men: Hercules and Broderick. Whats a girl to do? Can she have it all!? Um yes please! Val was hilarious! You will crack a laugh at every page with her personality and potty mouth!
Amelia Hutchins ~A Demons Plaything The Elite Guards Sometimes love comes in unexpected circumstances. This was an arranged marriage made by a king to wed her daughter princess Lilith to their enemy all because a debt that couldn’t be paid with money. This is the same enemy that murder her mother and slaughter her people. Secrets are exposed and not everything she believed to be was true. Loved it!!! It had a little humor and great start for a relationship with our main leads. Its a series with other characters on the same works but with a happy ending! no cliffhangers!
Pippa Dacosta ~Deep Blue Sea A Heartstone Thief Novella Wow! Sirens are powerful. They can just lure you with their beautiful voice and suck the life out of you and never sweat about it. But little do they know there is one powerful man willing to stand up! And one sexy Siren name Blue who is willing to believe this innocent gifted man and give humans a second chance. Mother Nature says so. Short Novella to the we’ll known Heartstone Thief character series!
Tate James ~The Hellhounds Legion A kit Davenport Novella Its a follow up to the Davenport Series. It was a cute short story that features 6 guys and one lucky girl. Kinky sex and coffee jokes.
Knox and Miers ~How To Capture A Demon’s Heart Ranger & Darcy’s Story. Ranger will definitely make you swoon. A demon and human girl meant to be. Faith brings them together or maybe a little bit of supernatural but definitely sexy and romantic!
C.M Stunich ~The heart Cantrip A family spells Novella Bathboms gone horrible wrong! Or maybe right depending how you see things. Lets just say bad for now since they did turn humans into sucking demons! Its up to Graceley and her boys to save the day: 3 husbands, one boyfriend and one ex boyfriend aka Monster. He is the most misunderstood demon from the group. He does love Graceley but for whatever reason it hasn’t worked out and left me sad for him. This is a raverse harem story that takes place sometime between book one and two for the series. Great orgy party for sure!
Clara Hartiey ~The Fox and the Wolf Forbidden love between a wolf alpha and a beautiful fox. After being separated when they were just kids By Jez’s father the alpha wolf he decides to forget her. And yrs later he finally sees her again and with a little help from the pretty fox Dahlia his memories comes back. He decides to fight for her.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Love Potion is a Valentine’s Day charity anthology featuring eight exclusive paranormal romance stories. After reading Such Violent Delights: A Holiday Paranormal Romance Anthology, I was ready to dive into another collection of seasonal steaminess. I read three of the eight entries: How to Capture a Demon’s Heart by Graceley Knox and D.D. Miers, A Demon’s Plaything by Amelia Hutchins, and A Damsel and a Demigod (The Guild Codex: Spellbound) by Annette Marie. I’m totally buying into the anthology format for its teasers of favourite series and introductions to new-to-me authors. Such Violent Delights led me to one of my new favourite writers, S.L. Jennings. Admittedly, I chose these three stories as I’m familiar with these authors and I was short on time. I’ve recently rediscovered D.D. Miers. I enjoy her writing style both alone and paired with Knox. How to Capture a Demon’s heart is a charming, magical story that had me riveted from start to finish. I cannot resist an Amelia Hutchins release and Demon’s Plaything, a story set in the Fae Chronicles universe, checks all the boxes. Finally, A Damsel and a Demigod is another sweet story rife with action and adventure. Annette Marie’s Guild Codex series is one I’ve started to follow. I plan to read a few more entries, at least, in this anthology. In fact, I think I just made my Valentine’s plans ;) If you’re looking for a little romance this Valentine’s Day, but aren’t ready to fully commit, try this Love Potion. You may find your new book boyfriend. This Love Potion is a steal at only $1 for kindle, plus, since it’s a charity anthology, you’ll be spreading the love.
I love every story in this anthology and love discovering new authors.
How To Capture A Demon’s Heart by Knox & Miers
I love, love Ranger & Darcy’s Story. Once I started reading I didn’t want too stop. Ranger will definitely make you swoon. Great characters and an amazing story that everyone must read.
A Demon’s Plaything by Amelia Hutchins This is my first book I read by Amelia and it won’t be my last. Very interesting story with amazing characters that I didn’t want too end. I will definitely be adding Amelia’s books to my TBR.
Deep Blue Sea by Pippa DaCosta Interesting story. I will definitely have to read Heartstone Thief and see where it all began.
The Hellhound’s Legion by Tate James
I’m a huge fan of Tate’s and her Kit Davenport Series and too get more of the characters I love, I couldn’t wait to start reading. Absolutely loved everything about this short story and can’t wait too read more.
The Heart Cantrip by CM Stunich Review to come
Eternal Heart by G. Bailey & Coralee June
I’m in love with this story. Val loves two gods ( Broc & Hercules) but they can’t be together until a turn of fate will finally bring them all together. Love this writing duo and will definitely read a lot more of their books.
A Damsel And A Demigod by Annette Marie
I enjoyed this story and definitely found a new author that I will definitely be one clicking. This short story had me intrigued and wanting more. Enjoyable characters and I can’t wait too read more in the Guild Codex World.
The Fox And The Wolf by Clara Hartley From enemies to secret friends to lovers. Dahlia and Jez were always meant too be but since they are enemies they could never be. I liked the characters in this short story and will definitely be checking out Clara books.
How to Capture A Demon’s Heart: Cute story. Some minor grammar errors. 4 stars
A Demon’s Plaything: An Elite Guard: Part of Fae Chronicles Lilith is an Heir to the Night Court and Queen to the Shadow Court. 5 stars
A Deep Blue Sea: A Heartstone Thief Novella: Cute short story. There’s a HEA. 4.5 stars
The Hellhound’s Legion: A Kit Davenport Novella: Part of the Kit Davenport series. This is a novella later in the conclusion so in the foreword it is recommended to read those before this book. I didn’t follow directions so I read this book after all. Not much confusion. Reverse Harem. So suspenseful. My thought was trying to figure out who was what. Very good read even if I didn’t have all the background information. 4.5 stars
The Heart Cantrip: A Family Spells Novella: This a short Valentine’s Day story about a previous book I have read from this author. The main female character Graceley is a unique enough name that as I read I remember this story. Like revisiting an old friend, these characters were a pleasant refresher. Reverse Harem. 5 stars
Eternal Heart: A Forsaken Gods Series Novella: Whimsical endearing read. 5 stars
A Damsel & A Demigod: The Guild Codex: Spellbound - Story told from Kai Yamodo’s POV. He’s in one of the three top security Guild of Mages. Absolutely lovely story. Very adorable, cute and no sex. So young adult approved. I just really like this story so much action and adventure. Rick Riordan’s “Percy Jackson worthy” 5 stars
1) How to Capture a Demon’s Heart – reminds me of R.I.P.D. but with a lots of tweaks…Interesting Story, but couple things still confusing 🫤 2) A Demon’s Plaything - Interesting & Different🖤 Love that Lilith is “The Queen of the Shadow Fae and Night Court’s chosen heir”, and her powers are Wicked!!! Asrian is surprisingly sweet (and sensitive I think), perfect timing that he was filled with rage when came upon a few thousand Demons😈🔥🩸☠️🪦 Great Writing 🩶
3) Deep Blue Sea –meh, but I can understand the lesson 😉🧜♀️🏴☠️
4) The Heart Cantrip: a Family Spells Novella -Absolutely Awesome❤️🔥 Apparently I’m not cursing hard enough “ I cursed so colorfully that tiny purple-pink sparkles flittered in the air in front of my lips, decorated with bats and cats and other witchy things. It was a strange side-effect of my magic sometimes” 🤬🐈⬛🦇✨🤣
5) The Hellhound’s Legion- "Fire and torture and Brimstone, oh my!" just a lil’quicky for the series, which caught my interest 😈💋💋💋😈
6) Eternal Heart- I don’t usually read ones with Gods/Demi-Gods etc, but this was amusing & lil’lusty novella (no hanky-panky, but enjoyable) 💋💋💋 The God of Pleasure & Hercules… YES Please ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 I liked Val, and her guts!!!
7) A Damsel and A Demigod- B..O..R..I..N..G😴😴💤💤💤💤
8) The Fox and the Wolf- 🦊🐺🦊🐺 Interesting love mix, loyalty surprises, sweet backstory, a lil’slow but good ending (I’d definitely be getting a new Beta though 🫤)
A great collection of amazing stories by amazing authors. If you are looking for a collection of stories that tug on the heart strings and make you feel loved then this is for you!
Some of these stories are brand new takes by the authors. Some of them are side-stories for current series the authors have. Some of them are "in the future" of series the authors have finished. Either way, you can jump into any of these and know everything that is going on.
There were some stories I was particularly looking forward to as part of this anthology. This included: - Eternal Heart by CoraLee June & G. Bailey - alongside The Forsaken Gods Series, we follow Val as she finds her way and destiny in a world full of Valkyrie's and Gods/Goddesses - The Hellhound's Legion by Tate James - a Kit Davenport story that falls after the last book in the series and revolves around Kit and her men, in particular River and he connection with Hell - A Heart Cantrip by CM Stunich - part of the Family Spells Trilogy, this hilarious story is a about Graceley putting a little too much love magic in some bath products
*Eternal Heart This was a fun adventure searching for our new Goddess of Love. Nothing like a Valkyrie trying to prevent a little chaos. The attraction between Val, Hercules, and Broderick was hot hot hot. As always our beloved Val will keep you rolling with laughter. I can't wait for more of our beloved Valkyrie and her bestie from hell.
*Hellhounds Legion Personally my heart will never get tired of our beloved foul mouthed coffee and sex addicted Kit. Every little snippet Tate gives us just melts my heart all over again. Gah.
*The Heart Cantrip I mean how can you not cringe when you hear the words "sucking demon". I know right? Our lovely resident witch Graceley is here to attempt to save the day. We've got 3 husbands, 1 boyfriend, and 1 ex boyfriend. That's quite the obstacle to maneuver in itself, and now we have sucking demons?! But alas, when an orgy is involved how can you not be sucked into the story. Pun intended.
This is a collection of short stories from a range of authors, put together for charity. I suspect most purchasers buy it to get an extra short story from one of their favourite authors - as did I. And I suspect the authors also contribute to entice more readers to their series as well as contributing to charity. Nothing wrong with either of those.
All the short stories did stand alone. You'd get more enjoyment out of most of them if you'd read the relevant series already. Sometimes the cast of characters from the series seemed too big for a short story so added a little confusion. Some stories should probably carry the warning that they are reverse harem for those who don't like that sort of thing.
Having said that, I enjoyed every single one of the stories, I can recommend the anthology, and I will be looking out for other work by the authors.
