Oliver King is not your typical Montana fur trapper. Raised an English gentleman, he believes the world is ordered and mostly good. His pregnant Crow wife’s family is missing and in danger, and King must find and rescue them. US Cavalry Lieutenant Atticus Little wants nothing more than to get back to the belles and the balls of the East. He knows something, but he will kill to keep his demons and his secrets buried.
Red Bear hates white men and vows to kill them all, including his brother-in-law, King.
Can King stay alive long enough to save everything he loves? And if he does, will there be anything good left of him?
King’s Crossing is the fifth book in Wyatt Cochrane’s Marshall Family Western Series. If you like the strong men and women in Louis L’Amour’s books and the cowboy romance in C.J. Petit’s, you’ll love this face-paced adventure series set in the old west.

Mr. Cochrane, I am an avid reader and love well written interesting stories. Your tales resound with me as I grew up in oklahoma. I also have native blood from both sides of my family. Great, great grandmother was on the trail of tears. Keep up the great writing and I'll keep reading.
Read this series, you will not be able to put your books down until you are finished!!! I can't wait until the next book is ready for me to read! Keep up the wonderful story line going for I do so love reading about their adventures!!!
This book had too much violence for me. The implied violence when the soldiers too the Indian girls was not as bad as when the lieutenant took Willow to the barn. I liked the story and t h e flow but not the violence.
King's Crossing: A Marshall Family Western - Book 5
King was a man who had moved to the wilds of Montana from England, but he treasured his freedom that he'd never had in England. He and his wife needed to get to her Crow family so that she can talk to the women there about her baby that was due soon, but when they get there the people are nowhere to be found. King had to find her people, but they needed to get his wife to a safe place. It's awful slow going on the deep snow using snow shoes to get where they have to go and it was anything but safe . This was a good read!!
I’ve read books 1 through 5 and intend to read them all. I like the author’s authenticity in his writing. I feel connected to the characters, which is an important aspect I hope to find in the books I choose to read. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone interested in the west during the period of the late 1800’s. Wyatt Cochrane’s writing reminds me of C.J. Petit and I’ve read every one of his books!
It is a pleasure reading this series as each tale expands on the lives of the rich characters the author created. There is lots of fast-paced action and adventure in each book with just the right touch of romance that it's a total joy to read. Well I'm off to read the next book in this series.
I don't want to have to read eleven books to see how this saga ends. Also, it makes me somewhat angry to have short stories classified as books. It's demeaning to other authors who have written full length books.
Our author doesn't pull his punches when describing what good people had to do to survive when they are faced with evil, even if the evil is covered with a mask of authority.
