Nancy E. Miller's first nonfiction work delves into the journey from survivor to victor over childhood abuse. Having made the journey herself, she includes poetry and letters written to her therapist at the beginning. She then adds what she has learned in her studies and experience. It can be a difficult read because it is real life. At the end, you will find yourself a stronger person.

Very intense and emotional read. For anyone who has been through childhood abuse, whether physical, emotional, mental or sexual, this book will resonate with you. All us survivors can learn healing and strength through stories, poems and letters the author has penned in this collection that started her healing process. Its a very hard read, its a very hard subject, but if it is a hand you were dealt, this book can show you strength on no longer being a victim, so get up and be a survivor!
