It's good to be back with Annabelle and her (crazy) gang.

Once again, they were involved in a murder investigation (Richard was the initial accused!) despite a busy schedule with a demanding bride. But as usual, they would win and solve both problems!

About 2/3 of the story, my detective mode kicked in and my mind started to turn toward a suspect even though they were investigating everywhere. Red herrings were thrown so much it was almost cloudy haha. FYI, the real murderer was only revealed at about 10% before ending.

Turned out I was right hehe ✌✌

A perfectly imperfect Valentine's Day wedding for the Belle's

The latest book was a wonderful read for Valentine's Day! Annabelle, Kate and the crew were all at their best (and worst..LOL!) and I loved it! I highly recommend sitting down with your favorite box of chocolates and enjoying the fun!

The Truffle with Weddings is the twelfth book in Annabelle Archer Wedding Planner Mystery series and is as always absolutely fantastic.

This is definitely one of my favorite series.
It can be read as a standalone but I strongly suggest reading from the beginning as you will not want to miss out on the fun.
Ms. Durham never fails to deliver.

This time Annabelle's best friend Richard is accused of murdering a prominent magaziene editor. As the gang starts to investigate- murders and mayham follow. There are many scary and hair-raising moments with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing.

I like how Annabelle now embraces their sleuthing as given as opposed to the beginning when she used to fight against it. I also like how all of them contribute to solving the mysteries with their unique talents.
As always their love for each other and friendship shines through every page and their easy banter unfailingly makes me laugh out loud.
Cleverly plotted with effortless style of writing it pulls you right in.

I was very happy that Annabelle and Reece's relationship is progressing but I would really like to find out some things about her family and her past, and to read about other characters private life more. I have known them for so long now that I feel like they are my friends and would like to get to know them even better.

Needless to say I can't wait to read the next installment.

I am addicted to these books and highly recommend them if you love mysteries and love to laugh.

I’ve been following the Annabelle Archer Mystery series since the first, Better of Wed, came out years ago and have read every book in the series.

These books are entertaining, laugh-out-loud funny, interesting to read and always put me in a good mood. The titles of each book are also incredibly creative. These books are my escape from the real world. Since I only have time to read at night, the chapters are the perfect length for me. With anything else, I’m asleep after the first page, but with Laura Durham’s books, I stay interested and might even read 2 or 3 chapters in one sitting since the stories are always page turners.

The cast of characters are fun and fully developed with their own special quirks which make them come to life. I would love to see them on the small screen. Somebody please call Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and have them do a series based on these books! I’d watch for sure!

As a former event producer, I really appreciate the detail Laura goes into describing not just the weddings, but every situation and setting. The stories never get redundant. Sometimes a murder may happen at a wedding, other times it’s at a conference or other location. And it’s not always a bride or groom getting murdered.

Buy the entire series!

Laura Durham is new to me, and I am glad to have found her books. I am WAY late to the game (starting off on book 12 in her series) but this book can be read as a stand alone. I enjoyed this book so much, I will most likely go back and read the other 11 that I have not read yet.

I loved Reese, Annabelle, and the whole ragtag bunch. This book had the right amount of humor, mystery, and subtle romance. I laughed, i was intrigued, and engrossed in the story from page 1. Loved the kookiness of all Annabelle's friends. They made this story such an enjoyable read. The over the top humor and characters personalities made it hard to put the book down.

Written as a first person, single pov and has a HFN ending. Strong and entertaining story line. Great descriptions to details making it feel as if I was a part of the story, awesome and funny as hell dialogue, and such awesome characters that I wish I had friends like these. There would never be a dull moment that is for sure.

Would I recommend this book? Absolutely!

Would I read more from this author? Yep, going back to start with book 1 most likely.

Laura Durham masterfully weaves a murder mystery that entertains her readers in so many delightful ways. The story is a murder mystery but the title character, Annabelle Archer, and her wedding planner associates are entertaining, fun, witty, with a splash of charm to complete the ensemble.
This Valentine's Wedding is an over-the-top nightmare involving all things Valentine-oriented and a bride who insists on going all out with the theme. While this is happening, an associate editor of a wedding magazine is found dead after eating chocolate truffles from a box of promotional Valentine's candy supplied by Annabelle's favorite caterer. The chocolates were poisoned but who exactly was the intended victim and why.
The Annabelle Archer series is one of my favorites and the characters that Laura Durham creates are ingenious. Each character brings their own special persona to the story and adds a dimension that I would personally miss after reading several of the books in this series. If you want a fun, entertaining murder mystery series to get into, I highly recommend the Annabelle Archer Wedding Planner series.

VALENTINE’S DAY WEDDING WOES!

THE TRUFFLE WITH WEDDINGS (An Annabelle Archer Mystery Book 12) deals with a Valentine’s Day Wedding. Annabelle Archer of Wedding Belles, one of DC’s highest ranked Wedding Planners is in charge of the Valentine’s Day Wedding. The Bride wants everything to be Valentine’s on steroids!! It’s Annabelle & her team’s job to keep the Bride in check and make sure the Wedding is tasteful and magazine worthy instead of cheesy. This could be mission impossible! Just when Annabelle thinks everything is finally going to go off without a hitch, several hitches occur. As major crises occur, Annabelle and her team do their best to help Annabelle’s Hot Cop Boyfriend solve the latest murder. This time the stakes are higher than ever! Another great addition to this series! I was provided an ARC of this book by the author. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.

Wedding planner Annabelle has her hands full with an over the top Valentine themed wedding. If she sees another pink or red heart, candy, or balloon, she might just pop! The last thing she needs is to be involved in yet another murder case, but that’s what happens when her best friend Richard is accused of poisoning someone with chocolates. Will Annabelle be able to clear his name and find the real culprit?

This is just another hilarious madcap adventure with Annabelle and her wedding planner gang who can’t seem to stay out of trouble. If you like a mystery with lots of wit that will tickle your funny bone, are enchanted by weddings, and love a good mystery then the Wedding Planner series is just right for you.

Valentines Day themed wedding has Annabelle and Kate on cupid themed over-load. Ah-mazing Ah-manda seemed a little obsessive about her pre-occupation with everything from balloons to cupids wings on the flower girls to bow/arrow sets in the hands of the ring bearers.

Naturally, a murder happens before the big day - and Richard is again implicated. The wicked Marcus he fired, who left him off THE LIST of providers in the wedding industry out of revenge is the victim.

Can Annabelle and friends survive with their reputations and their businesses intact?

Hunky hot cop Reese to the rescue - and an excitement filled wedding and Valentines day!

Laura Durham has a unique gift that allows her to spin a story that has the reader on a roller coaster ride from the first word to the last. You will laugh and giggle (even if you are trying to be quiet), bite your nails, and possibly get paper cuts in your attempt to turn the pages faster! This story will not disappoint! It is close to Valentine’s Day and Annabelle has a wedding to plan that has her ready for Valentine’s to be over, but it is also her first Valentine’s with her boyfriend. If that isn’t enough to deal with her best friend is suspected of murder. Can Annabelle pull off the wedding, clear her best friend, AND figure out what to give her boyfriend for Valentine’s or will she become the murderer’s next victim? Read the book to find out!

Awesome Series! Must Read!

I love Annabelle and her hot cop Reese! The wedding planner has a murder before one of her wild weddings this time! Richard is the main suspect, of course, he is in overdrive drama! The bridezilla in this one; loves Valentine's Day, she has enough red going, the Hays Adams Hotel could turn out looking like a bordello! Reese is busy trying to catch the murderer, keep up with his lady love, Annabelle, keeping the whole crew under some control!? Is that even possible? I think not! Love this! Wish the BBC, or ITV would pick it up, they know how to do comedy!
I highly recommend! Thanks! I know you will enjoy them! I cannot wait until the next one!

I really enjoyed this book and the madcap nature of the wedding planning world. Laura Durham uses her own background as a planner to create wonderfully diverse characters that I wouldn't mind hanging around with myself. This is the first book I've read in the series and had no trouble following along, but I did start reading the first book so I could see the evolution of Annabelle's story. I loved the descriptions of the elaborate decorations and what it takes to create them, as well as all the behind-the-scenes activity of pulling off a wedding. The story was solid and the pacing perfect. I also liked the unconventional way she goes about solving who poisoned the chocolates and why.

I have to say that the only think I didn't like about this book is when it was finished. I'm always sad to come to the end of one of Laura Durham's books. She is a phenomenal story teller who gives enough detail to make you feel like you are there with the characters without overdoing it or losing you. I'm always looking forward to the next one. Loved that this was centered around Valentines day and all the craziness and love how Reece and Annabelle's relationship is blooming. Even some drama thrown in as always. This might be one if not the favorite so far.

This was the first book from this series that I have read. I will say that not having read any of the previous books, I was able to catch on to the characters and some of the past cases that they have had easily. I did feel as if the story moved slower than I would have liked, but it was still an enjoyable book. I was able to determine the method in which the murder was able to to take place, but It teetered back and forth on who the culprit was almost until the very end. I appreciated that. Overall the book was good, but I will read the other books in the series.

Once more Annabelle and her gang are imbroiled in the middle of the murder of one of their collegues. It’s near Valentine’s Day and Richard has decided he needs to round up some clients after finding himself off the A-list of wedding vendors. Instead of garnering new clients, he finds himself a suspect in the murder of someone who seemingly died after eating a truffle from one of his gift boxes.
Annabelle’s gang of favorite wedding vendors start gathering clues as her boyfriend, Reece, works on the case.
I enjoyed greatly this novel about a wacky crew of wedding vendors.

Poor Richard...Our favorite Diva of catering finds himself in Truffles (trouble), again! This was a witty story with a mystery rolled into one. What with a valentine overload wedding theme along with a (#spoiler) Leatrice scare that brings out a side of Richard that even Annabelle did not know about, makes this book a page-turner. The twists and turns keep you guessing at who the real killer really is. Great read!

Laura Durham has done it again! Annabelle and friends are planning the Valentines Day wedding from you know where and then you guessed it MURDER! And poor Richard is among the suspects list again! Plus, staying out of the investigation is not Annabelle's strong suit, even if she is living with her hot detective boyfriend, Reese. You have to come along for the ride on this one! Funny, sweet, and full of twists I didn't see coming! A must read for all Laura Durham fans!

A very cute complex murder mystery, it happens to be the 12th book in the Anabel Archer series.

Though this is the 1st book I've read I was engrossed in the book. It's OK if you've not read the earlier titles because this series can be read as a standalone series, but the interpersonal relations between will make more sense if you've the read the complete series.

The story was excellently written and the events industry described was bang on.

I loved the book.

Valentines Day is spoiled when someone gets a poisoned chocolate and Richard is suspect number one. It is up to Annabelle, a society wedding planner, to help her caterer friend out.

What a great cozy mystery, full of humour, wit and quirky characters. With subtle clues, several interesting suspects, romance, humour and suspense, this is a cozy mystery worth reading. The writing is great, the dialogue is wonderfully done and the mystery interesting. I look forward to more escapades of this cozy mystery series.

Lots of twists and suspects

4.25 stars

Admittedly it didn’t grab immediately like the other two books that I have read in the series. A big part of it was there was so much going on that it was hard to keep track of motives and suspects, but once I did then it got better. It just flowed as Annabelle started putting the pieces together while planning the Valentine’s wedding. There were quite a few twists as things started to get revealed. I wasn’t expecting the ending that came about, yet it totally made sense and the same time. It was very satisfying.

From the gorgeous cover art to the lush descriptions of the wedding venues, floral and decorations, I loved every minute of this book! Add in the over-the-top personalities of Annabelle's colleagues and friends and you have a laugh-out-l0ud, entertaining and enjoyable read. And don't forget that pesky murder mystery with a very unique murder weapon that Annabelle and crew just can't help but investigate. This is a series not to be missed!

My favorite of the series by far. Annabelle and her wacky crew are delightful, as always. I like the evolution of some of the relationships: detective/chef, detective/wedding planner, elderly neighbor & her beau. Just a fun, well-done story with characters that continue to delight. The murder mystery is just convoluted enough to make the whole experience very entertaining.

Annabel is at it again this time she has an over the top bride with a Valentine's day wedding, her first Valentine's with Reese and Richard is a murder suspect because he passed out truffles to get back on the list. Will she alienate Reese because it's their first Valentine's day and she doesn't know what to get him but she does know how to find suspects instead of Richard. Awesome book.

Fluffy and fun

Fluffy and fun, this cozy mystery is on the light side and just right for an enjoyable read.

A wedding planner and her pals have to protect their reputations when evil competitors attempt to sabotage them and end up solving a murder.

Delightful main character and zany supporting cast, surprises in the plot that I actually could follow (love it!) and an absolutely worthwhile read

Annabelle and Kate are back on the job with an overly themed Valentine wedding. Richard an oft-time caterer has been left off the wedding vendor list and is leaving everyone Valentine candy gifts to keep his name in the market. Who would know that one of the candies would be poisoned? Annabelle and her boyfriend/policeman Reese are on the job.

Great book in a great series.
