Thoughtful & Cozy

It's a pretty quick read, but some of the poems are quite good. Not to say any are bad, just some are more on the curl up with nice poetry vibes, while other poems seem a bit more insightful. Definitely look forward to reading more from this writer in the future.

"Trust what you are feeling, And not what the world is revealing.
Believe and go with your gut, It’s the only thing that won’t ever rust.
Yes, you have to move, And not wait for anyone to approve.
I am what I feel, This is something no one can steal.
Deep in me there are things unspoken, Deep in me there is something broken." —PEBBLES

I frequently read poetry but I really enjoyed this book. The collection of poems is heart touching and easy to comprehend. This short poems are all about life, self love, inspiration and personal development. It discovers your soul and gives a nice feeling to you.
.
Cover of the book is simple but it could have been better. Title is appealing and appropriate. Narration is good. Language is easy.
I like to read such a poetry book once in a while.

Overall, it is quick light read.
®-Recommended to everyone.

This is a beautiful anthology of poems by the author Swati Khatri . This is the first book . I have actually earlier read the second part 'Pebbles on Paper '
What I like about her poems are

First they are simple
Lucid but yet have the perfect amount of allegory which I prefer in poems.
And they have rhyming.

There are three parts in this book :

Self-love
Reflections
Some more

Wonder why the book is named Pebbles ?

According to the author

" I think life is like the deep sea, which rests on the shore and pebbles are emotions accumulated over time."

And no doubt poems are pieces of work soaked in emotions.

The self love section has poems which send message about being strong , trusting your own inner voice , owning yourself and moving forward.

Self love is necessary we all know but sometimes we forget to practice this essential part which leads to us forgetting our worth.Practicing self love brings happiness from the within.

There are two poems in the Reflection section which touches upon the process of thoughts , feelings that are in all stages of their blooming , unspoken and hidden dreams whose presence are honestly acknowledged . Such poems are relatable because we all have untold stories and few unsolved feelings inside and none the less we need to be truthful to ourselves.

In the last section 'Some More' the five poems have nostalgic hues . There are afterglows of lost loved ones . There is another where she expresses her favourite , colours and the seasons allegoricaly connecting them with forces of nature and thoughts. In the poem ' The Scene ' I liked how she connected the silently flowing river water with her traits. We know calm water in time dissolves strong rocks as well .
