Broken bones, fractured spirits, a fragile bond worth fighting for…

Maggie Evans only wants to do her job as a mender, protecting the hidden, supernatural community of the small town of Ashport from itself and outside forces. But as an old enemy attack and leaves her isolated and fighting for her life, Maggie is cut off from her friends and allies.

Detective Nate Hansen loves his job and wants to keep Maggie’s world out of it. But he also wants to keep Maggie in his life – even with her troublesome ability. When Maggie goes missing, an arrested man in need of her help reaches out to Nate who soon realizes his knowledge of Maggie’s community won’t let him unsee any of it.

When their worlds collide, Maggie and Nate must learn to work together to expose a threat to those with otherworldly abilities. But as Nate’s life is weaved ever closer to Maggie’s chaotic world, can he put the order and rules of his own aside?

And can Maggie keep her community’s trust when she’s connected to a cop, the people those of her kind trust the least?  A cop who has her questioning the unspoken realities of the menders?

Persistence is the second novel in the Ashport Mender Series. If you like high stakes, action, steamy romance, and potty-mouthed attitude, then you’ll love this fast-paced series.

„Persistence“ (The Ashport Mender Series) by G.K. Lund is a wonderful continuation to the series. Despite their undeniable attraction Nate and Maggie are struggling to keep their different “worlds” apart. Maggie’s priority is to her own supernatural community, which Nate would like to keep out of his work. As an inmate reach out to Nate requesting Maggie’s help, who has gone missing, Nate has to reconsiders his rules about keeping the supernatural out of his life.

Once more G.K. Lund blends mystery and paranormal romance tropes into an intriguing and suspense filled thriller, producing a fast-paced, satisfying page-turner, populated by very well-developed characters in an appealing setting. Both Nate and Maggie are equally captivating despite their differences, which help to give the story an even more realistic feeling.

Hansen is back to working with his partner. Maggie is continuing being the fixer for the Community. Though Hansen doesn't want their works crossing he is pulled into it when Maggie is kidnapped and one of the community supposedly commits suicide. Now he needs to find Maggie and investigate the suicide. Does he find Maggie? Who has taken her and why? Did Jordan commit suicide or was he murdered? Only by reading this great paranormal series will you find the answers.

So I loved book one but I have to say book two was even better! A highly addictive urban fantasy/paranormal romance with tons of action, kidnapping, suicide and murder. Will Maggie and Nate be able to work together? Will the supernatural community be exposed? Love the storyline, love the characters and I love the sass and the attitude! Off to read book three!
