In a world full of strife, two wolves find solace in each other.
Ben was wounded in the heat of battle, now considered by society to be just another injured veteran werewolf. He’s loved, lost, and decided it isn’t worth the trouble. In a world where shifters die just because of the blood in their veins, what’s the point in committing? You just risk losing yourself.
James is a kept omega, hidden away by his family until his breeding date. Soft and supple, James knows his intended mate-to-be will probably break him all to pieces. But isn’t that what omegas are for?
Everything changes when James loses all he knows in an attack, leaving him the sole heir to the family fortune. Uncomfortable with his new responsibilities, he hires a bodyguard who ends up being so much more.
Cuffing Season is a stand-alone novel, the second in the Season Of Love series. It’s rich, gay, mpreg, shifter plot will have you begging for more. Only happily ever after endings and never any cheating! Adults only!
Cuffing season by Liam Kingsley. James is a omega who has been hidden away by his parents. They kept him hidden for his mates Alpha. But after an attack James loses his parents and is the sole heir to the family fortune. But James is attacked one night by an alpha and is injured badly. Ben saves James but he has demons of his own. He finds he is attracted to James. James hired Ben as his bodyguard but Ben ends up being so much more. This was a very enjoyable read. Loved James and Ben. Didn't like cal at all. I'm happy with the ending too. Perfect. 4*.
The book tells the story of a sheltered omega and a wounded veteran alpha who meet under a violent situation. Attraction sparks and the past starts to interfere with the blooming relationship. The adventure, romance, drama, and violence is extreme in this novel and isn't for the faint of heart. Will they let a tragic event destroy their love? You have to read to find out.

Ben is a wounded veteran who was part of a special forces team made up of Alphas. He was wounded badly and suffers from PTSD, just like his former teammate Stefan. He’s love and lost and doesn’t see the point in going through it all over again. He’s just trying to live the best he can.
James is an Omega who was kept prisoner by his family until he was of breeding age. He was sold to an Alpha when he was a child and was kept hidden and isolated until that Alpha came to claim him. After a bombing killed his family, he’s left the sole heir to his family’s fortune. He’s learning to navigate life after years of isolation. He won his freedom at the cost of his whole family but even though his existence is lonely, it’s all his.
James learns quickly that he needs help navigating life because the world is a very dangerous place, especially for an Omega. He hires Ben as his bodyguard after he saves his life from an Alpha that attacked James. Ben automatically feels a protectiveness towards James and it doesn’t take long for Ben to realize it goes way beyond an Alpha protecting an Omega.
This was a great second book in the series. Although it was a slow start in the beginning, the story did pick up momentum a few chapters in. I looked forward to Ben’s story after being introduced to him in the first book. It’ll be interesting to see how the plot develops.

James had a very poor life, though he was born to a very wealthy family. He survived the attack aimed at shifters because his family had left him at home once again when they went out for a night in the city - too dangerous for their sheltered one.
Cal is an up and coming politician - but the views he shares with the world about his politics are not the ones he shares with his allegedly bought and paid for young omega.
Ben and Stefan are both ex military, and had been injured trying to stop the attack on shifters that killed so many. Tyler, mate to Stefan, was an engineer, who had unwittingly contributed to the anti-shifter weapon, unaware what it was.
Tommy is the cute little pup that Tyler and Stefan produced - and a big enticement to an unsuspecting Ben and James - nothing like being young and hormonal and around babies - you wither get very turned off them, or very tuned on to wanting one of your own.
Ben and James might be able to find their own way, and save themselves and their world from the like of bigoted Cal - but only if they work together, and they seek the help of their friends like Stefan and Tyler.
A super steamy m/m shifter romance that makes you think about roles in society a little - and about hot men of various types a lot!

I loved James. He's lived all his life locked up, away from people. His family didn't treat him well. Now that he's alone, he's learning to trust himself, to do things for himself. He finds it hard to trust people, but not Ben. He feels safe with him.
I loved Ben. He feels lost after leaving the army. He's going to therapy, he's trying to be a better person. He has his family, Stefan and Tyler, and he loves their son. He thought he didn't want a family, but that all changed when he met James. He helped James because he's a good man, and he couldn't help but get close to him. He trusts him, he has earned James's trust. He is affectionate, patient. He shows James, with his words and his gestures, how to be a real Alfa. He does not need to control him. An Alpha must protect and take care of his own, not force them to do anything.
I loved their romance. Ben lets James set the pace. It's what James needs, and Ben likes it. He wants James to be happy.
I loved Stefan and Tyler. They're good friends of Ben, and it doesn't take long for them to be friends with James. They let Ben and James be with Tommy, they know they will take good care of him.
Tommy is adorable, a lovely child and a lovely pup.
Omega James has been locked in all his life but now he is free then he encounters Alpha Ben. Omega James Edward Alexander Lestrade III. had been betrothed very young to Alpha Cal Henderson which meant his parents had sold him to the alpha. This meant he had been kept locked up all his life but this was to save his life when his family went celebrate Christmas in the city leaving him at home and they get killed in one of the bomb attacks. As the only survivor Jame inherits all of their very large estate and for the first time feels freedom. He get an apartment, cuts his hair but unable to cook for himself he goes out to eat but unnervingly he keeps get letters via the mansion from Cal. Then while out he is attacked by an alpha but is saved by another alpha Ben. A shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

I absolutely love this series I had read the 1st book where Tyler didn’t realise that he was helping the people who hated shifters, they planted bombs all over the city but Tyler’s Mate Stefan knew and tried to tell him but Tyler ignored him and realised he made a big mistake too late. This story is after the bombings and it’s James’s and Ben’s story. James is an omega his parents kept him home locked away most of his life so he was home when his parents were killed in the bombings. Ben is an alpha he’s ex military with PTSD he is hired by James as his bodyguard when James inherits his family’s fortune. I love this story and it would be better if you read book 1 to understand the situation but it can be read as a standalone. A fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
When the government gets to decide the laws surrounding shifters, a new election becomes very important. And one of the candidates has paid to own his own omega, James. James has lived hidden his entire life and has finally broken free, just to be alone and in danger.
When he meets Ben, a former military hero, he finally feels what it's like to trust someone, but he's got to get rid of his ex before he can move on completely.
I really enjoyed this book and the depth of the characters and story. There was a lot of great dialogue that kept the story flowing.
"He wasn't the picture of the man I thought I'd fall for. He wasn't the picture of safety and independence that I had imagined. Somehow, he was everything I needed, anyway."
set in a post apocalyptic type setting, shifters and Humans live out in the open but not necessarily in harmony. During the War Ben an Alpha who was a Special ops soldier was injured and lost part of his hearing. James an Omega who had been sold by his rich parents at birth had been locked away and never seen the out side world until they were killed in the war, and then suddenly was alone. When one rescues the other, and sparks fly, James needs protection from the slimy Alpha that his parents had sold him to. Can Ben be the Alpha he needs? this is an amazing tale full of fun characters, emotions and overcoming adversity that will have you pulled into this world and it will not want to let you go!!

I like this story, James had been sheltered from the world his entire life and treathed like a spoiled prinsses. James is facing a lot of challenges and has a lot to learn. James is out walking when he’s suddendly attacked by another wolf. James tries to fight the alpha away and get hurt. Ben rescue James and brings James over to Tyler and Stefans place to heal. During the time at Tylers place James start to realise that Ben isnt like the alphas he knew and trust is starting to blome. When James feels threatened by an powerful alpha that want James, he hire Ben to be his protector. James is a bit braty at times, Ben is just sweet and wants to take care of him. They have a few bumps to overcome. But it is a good story.
A great story to read. Loved the characters. Returning characters and new characters for this book. Great to have ongoing information about other characters also. James grew up locked in the house, never allowed to be outside because he is an omega wolf. When his parents died he left and did not look back. Happy to be outside, but afraid to be alone. Ben saves James from an alpha wolf. James hires Ban as a bodyguard. As they are getting to know one another they start to have feelings for the other.

James grew up virtually a prisoner in his own home. Having been sold at birth to an Alfa, he was kept under lock and key to keep him pure. When his entire family are killed by a bomb James is finally free to do as he wishes but his Alfa is determined to collect what he deems as his property. While out Ben comes across an omega, James, being beaten by another Alfa for not giving in to his sexual advances. Ben steps in and saves James. James is greatfull to Ben for saving his life and asks him to be his bodyguard. It’s not long before both are wanting more.

I liked this book a lot! It was interesting to see the world building done by Liam I am always fascinated with how he changes everything around in every series he writes.
Character breakdown;
James: he was something else I would have loved to have seen more of him adjusting to his new life but it was good to see him taking control anyways.
Ben: an interesting alpha one who had more issues than I thought he would. But his drunken scene made it impossible to not like him lol.
The story was told well, and the characters were interesting to follow and likable. Would recommend to anyone who likes shifter mating books.
This book of Ben (an omega betroved at birth) and James (a veteran alpha) finding each other and learning to put their pasts and fears behind them is very well written. Their story unfolds beautifully and their HEA is great. Only wish we could read a little about what happens later...house...their friends adoption...etc. But when I'm in a good book like this, I'm like that, wanting it to go on a few more chapters. Thank you Liam for a great story.

Great story! Loved the world-building and the unique spin on the world dynamics. The MC's are both likable and i so enjoyed their interactions. Both MC's have flaws and i enjoyed learning about both men.
James and Ben have a wonderful steamy connection that will fog up your kindle in the best possible way. I just love Ben and his character!
This can be read as a stand-alone book, however if you want more background on Tyler and Stefan, and the bombing, then you will want to read Christmas Heat. I had not read Christmas Heat and that is what i will be reading next.
Ben was still healing from the attack. A huge Alpha wolf, Veteran, wounded, he is learning to survive. When he meets a sweet Omega, being attacked, his protective instincts go into overdrive. When James wanders out and takes a wrong turn, he thought his life was over. Since his entire family died in the attack, he was finally free, but had no idea how to navigate the world. Together but circumstance, these two wounded wolves find happiness in each other. Very well written, flows well and has great characters, it's a book worth a read.
Alpha shifter Ben is back in this book. He's unique, strong, trained, and attractive. James. Sweet, sweet James is an omega. He's shy, cute, loving, and as different from anyone Ben has met. When something happens that brings these two together, it almost seems like fate. Can they survey the things life has put in front of them? You're going to want to read this to find out! Its so well written, emotional, sexy, and completely worth the read! I absolutely loved it!
James seems almost a china doll he is so fragile. that is an interesting way to make a omega character. it is fascinating. Then you get to have Ben who is so macho and alpha. Then the soft side of Ben makes him so real. this story is great. then you throw the intrigue in with James past life and it just goes off the chart. such a great read.

Cuffing Season is a stand- alone, shifter-mpreg novel by Liam Kingsley. James and Ben are wonderful characters that will keep your interest and make you fall in love. A deeply satisfying story that is sweet, sexy and highly entertaining.

This book was great. The twist and turns gave it an edge. A lonesome omega and an alpha with PTSD coming together. A challenge to feel love. The story flow nicely and the characters made the story pop. It was a great read you won't be disappointed.

James was a very sheltered omega who was sold as a baby to an alpha. When his parents died he escaped from the home he was locked away in. Being attacked in an alley he was saved by an alpha named Ben. They have a great chemistry and the story was good.

this was a really well written fun read! i loved James and Ben. James is an omega who was supposed to mate an alpha he didn't really want for his family, but then he loses them and finds himself in need of a body guard. and boy does ben guard his body! lol ben pretty much has given up on love, but it found him anyway. great standalone with an hea! would def recommend.
I absolutely loved Ben and James and the way they healed each other! Great follow-up to Christmas Heat (Seasons of Love Book 1), although this one can absolutely be enjoyed as a stand alone read. I hope there is more to come in this series.

The preview was enough to download the book but the book failed to deliver. The storyline rambles with no focus most of the time. There was no character development and no visible attraction between Ben and James. The sexual mechanics were uninteresting as well.
He is injured and he has lost a lot including a mate. An omega is being kept by his family before he is mated off. Suddenly he becomes their when all his family is lost. He gets a bodyguard and the sparks will spark. See if they can find love again

Cuffing Season by Liam Kingsley is a wonderful story. This is book number two in this wonderful paranormal series that I loved reading so much. I loved reading this story cause it has to do with shifters and I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about gay shifters.

Ben and James are broken and haunted in two very different ways. James' circumstances make you want to cry and hold him, and he is doing the best he knows. A great read with Stefan and Tyler making appearances. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I liked how Ben balanced his alpha need to protect with his true respect for James. He understood that James needed freedom to make choices, and tried to give him that freedom, even though he didn't always do it correctly.
