Alpha Gray Harvey will protect her in exchange for her loyalty to the Pack and an end to her writing. But when a rival Pack seeks revenge, he has no choice but to claim her as his mate to keep her from being used as a breeder.

Lynn Howard lives in Cedar Hill, MO, where all her sexy Shifters exist. She lives and breathes hot Alpha males and sassy brassy females. She feels the most at home knee-deep in mud and chicken muck and prefers to be outside under the stars, cuddled up under a blanket in front of a bonfire than in the big city.

When not typing away or feeding her chickens, you can find her fantasizing about hot country boys for her next book or wandering the woods in search of wildlife. She loves all animals and insects...except spiders. Her favorite foot accessory is barefoot and she owns at least twenty sets of salt-n-pepper shakers, yet only uses one.
Gray's Wolf is the first in her Big River Pack series. And just like in Gray's Wolf, there are more hot country boy Shifters just waiting their turn for a little love and romance.

Excellent Start to the Series . . .

Nova Aris is a writer who used the wolf pack as her inspiration for her shifter books. She didn’t realize she was breaking laws by revealing too much factual information about shifters which puts the packs in danger. She was a wolf shifter who had been abandoned at 13 when she shifted for the first time which scared her mother. A kind human who owned the diner in town eventually took her in and gave her a job. She was raised with humans her entire life, so she had no idea about the laws she trampled. Now, she is on the run, trying to find the Big River Pack and request sanctuary. She drove out of town and was not sure how to even find the pack. The roads out in the country were not marked and there were no lights. She took a random turn and was afraid since she had no idea where she was going. Finally she saw houses and pickup trucks. Should she just knock on a door? Instead, a voice asked if she was lost.

Grayson Harvey (“Gray”) is the Alpha of the pack who contacted Nova to invite Nova into his territory under certain conditions. She must pledge her loyalty to his pack and stop writing about shifters. Gray took her out to the porch so they could shift. Instead, she was embarrassed that he took his clothes off and she did not want to strip in front of him. A female wolf walked up and said she would help and Gray could go back inside. But even then, Nova was unable to shift. Gray told her he was going to patrol for a few hours. When he left, she asked her wolf to come out tomorrow and she would give her a steak. To her shock, she actually heard her wolf’s voice in her head as she whispered “Grayyy”.

Unfortunately, a rival pack sees her law-breaking as an opportunity to gain another breeder for themselves. To protect her, Gray will have to claim her as his mate. His wolf already knows she belongs to him. But attention is now on them, and the rival Alpha wants Emory for his breeder, now threatening to turn Nova in to the Council unless he gets his way. Will he follow through on his threat? Is there more trouble coming?

This was so good.
Nova is a paranormal romance writer she writes about shifters since she is one but she doesn't know much about them until she is told she is breaking laws and goes to Grayson's pack.
Gray can not believe she is really his and they say these two are made me laugh so hard.
I can not wait for the rest of the packs stories

Loved it.

Im so glad I picked up this book! I am a vampire girl but lately I have been finding my love for shifters! I love their world, their friendship. This might be an insta love/lust but I'm totally on board with it because it's a mate thing! I loved Gray and Nova! Highly recommended and i will definitely pick up other books!!

What an absolute blast Gray's Wolf was to read
Nova makes the story!
This is a funny, sometimes suspenseful, romance that provides all the warm happy fuzzies that make a romance great
The characters are authentic - each with their own quirk that not only endears them to the reader but plays well opposite the other roles
Gray and Nova are insta-love but it works with this storyline and these characters - The way their relationship is presented, I never doubted their feelings for each other
As a first in series, we are introduced to quite a few characters - though for many we are given only small glimpses and introductions but somehow you know they will play predominate roles within this series
A lot of breadcrumb trails and secret pasts are also dangled inside the storyline -
So many fabulous possibilities for the future
I am honestly excited to see who gets the next story -
I was provided a comp copy

I gave this book 4 stars, but to be fair, it probably should be closer to three. The plot is predictable and the dialogue is fairly uninspired, BUT I bumped it up to four because I found the characters creative and likeable, and this is an introductory book to a potentially promising series. I think one of the hardest thing for an author to do is write dialogue that sounds as if it could have actually been said aloud and at the same time provides insight into the truth of the character speaking. The author shows definite promise in that category, although I don't think she's quite there yet. She also seems pressed to move the story along without providing those small details which help the reader form a unique mental picture. The book is good enough that I'll be reading the second book in the series--and at my age (mid-70's) I don't have a lot of time to waste on poorly-written fiction. If you enjoy shifters, I'd recommend you give this series a try.

In my opinion this story was good, but it was not great and I think that is because I didn't like the female lead - she made no attempt to learn about the true shifter role and held true to her past. The male lead was better but he still made no effort to share the boundaries of the shifter world. I understand that the lack of knowledge was used as a way to move the story along and create angst but something was just missing. I did like the secondary characters and hope their stories will be better.

So bad I couldn't finish

Horrible character development. No discernable plot. Sexy scenes were weak and too much like porn. The hero was one dimensional with 99 percent of dialogue revolving around stomping around being jealous. Heroine was stupid and unlikable. For some unknown read on this author thought calling the characters home sheds in every other paragraph hysterical. Epic fail

3.5

It was not bad but not great. It wasn’t 3 average but not 4 good. I found myself drifting at times plus Nova annoyed me most of the book because of her hot headed impulsive behavior. There were parts of the plot that were interesting but the sexy times were very vanilla. With that being said I’m still going to read the next book in the series, Micah’s Mate. I found Micah to be interesting so I want to read more about his story. Until next time y’all happy reading.

Ok, this story was a surprisingly great read. I suggest this book/story.

I love how the author tied everything together.

There is: finding: one self, danger, friends which became stronger than blood family and a surprise biological person and having found your forever love!

Giving the future a chance!

It has ALL the elements for a great read.

Not bad but one flaw

The main female gets really annoying most of the book. She has her moments where she is ok but her as character made the book a struggle. I loved everyone else and when she was with others was when she was less annoying.

Gray and Nova are a unique look at shifters and their world. The story is sweet and full of tension and chemistry. I love that Nova has such a different backstory even if it is a little sad. I wanted more from the way Gray was as a child. I certainly wanted more from Tristan and Emory before they came to the family. The angle of the bad guys was different. I hope we get a story for Colton and one for Reed and Emory and Tristan and Micah. I look forward to more. I was happy with all of the family Nova found. 4.5 stars

Must Read. Amazing Storyline.

I just kept reading and reading not realizing I had read through the whole book in less than 6 hours. I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t bear to put it down. This is an amazing shifter story and I adored it to the very end. I will for sure be buying a hard cover to add to my collection of books.
