Arguably the most "full-on" for Dummies book I've read. There really is no simple down-to-earth way to explain lambda calculus and functional programming, and this book doesn't even really try. At times, it was impenetrable. As an aside, it asks you to download some Haskell datasets (Boston housing prices) that apparently have a bit of controversy attached to them. So, there's that too.

Lets Get Functional
This was a great book on functional programming.
I enjoyed it, and got a lot out of the coding examples. I wrote a lot of the examples and coded them to my own liking!

It can somewhat widen your horizon. The quality of exercises needs some improvement.
