This was a great short story. It's part of a series of short stories that a bunch of authors are doing together. In this one we have Scarlett and Max. Scarlett wants to have a baby and who better than the man she has been in love with since she was 16. Comes to find out Max has always been in love with her too. Needless to say, things worked out in the end and everyone was happy.

Cant stop smiling...

Such a cute story, its the common falling for you brothers best friend or best friend 's sister but i do like this plot a lot. Patience and determination really counts, the cease the moment feelings should definitely not be ignored. Omg! Such a hot yet hilarious intimate moment Scarlett and Max had. Love that Max stood his ground and fought for her same with Scarlett. They were truly meant to be!

This is a very short story based on New Year’s resolutions as part of the Resolution pact collaboration for the Flirt Club.
Scarlett makes a decision on New Year’s Eve that will change her life forever; she is fed up of waiting for life to happen and decides to go out there and get what she wants.
Max is her willing victim, but he’s not doing anything against his will as he’s been in love with Scarlett for years and has been waiting for the right time to pounce, what better time than New Year!?
Even though the book is only 37 pages long, it did feel as if you were getting a full story and we know everything about Max and Scarlett’s relationship, although not a lot about them as individuals. I liked the little added drama with Scarlett’s brother; this added a little something extra to the story!
I did keep wondering throughout, have we seen Scarlett somewhere else? In one of the other books either by the author or one of the other authors? Her situation of being jilted just felt familiar!
Overall, a festive story and great for this time of year.

Oooh, Baby!
Scarlett thought her life was going as planned until her fiancé left her the day before the wedding. Now her plans for love & a family were gone. Now, a year later it's New Years Eve & a message from her former sorority sisters pushes her to action. She wants a baby & doesn't necessarily need a husband to have one. Sam is her brothers best friend & been secretly crushing on Scarlett for a loooong time but she was off limits. Scarlett decides to ask Sam to be her baby daddy but what she doesn't know is Sam has made some decisions himself & is going after the woman of his dreams, her.

Nice short story. I loved it.


Scarlett has always wanted to start a family. But after the breakup with her fiancé, she doesn't think she can do it. Until she receives a message from a friend, inviting them to fight for their dreams that year, and decides she will fulfill her purpose. She will have a child that year, and the father will be her brother's best friend, the only man she trusts.

I love that Scarlett wants to fight for her dreams. Although it doesn't seem like the best way to do it, as Max tells her. He thought she was going to lie to him.

I love that Max finally decides to tell her how he feels. And I love that he refuses to be the sperm donor. He doesn't want just that role, and he doesn't want to be able to see the child, or share custody. He wants everything, Scarlett, and his future large family.

I love Logan's reaction to their relationship.

i red this book as part of an arc program. This is a book in the Resolution series written by a group of authors. In this book, Scarlett decides she wants a baby and after her broken engagement, she decides to do it alone. Scarlett wants to ask her brother's best friend Max to be the donor because she thinks he is a great guy and she has secretly been in love with him for years. When Scarlett goes to Max's nightclub to ask him to be the donor, they kiss at midnight and Max wants to reveal his true feelings for Scarlett. Max has been in love with Scarlett for years and thinks Mew Year's Eve is the perfect time to tell her, only her request for him to be a donor for her baby throws him. I liked this quick story, I really liked how Max expressed his feelings and made Scarlett realize she was meant to be his. Good one.

This was a great story about resolutions. I loved the interactions between Scarlett and Sam.

Scarlett is ready to move on with her life. She wants to have a child but not necessary a man. She only wants Sam to be the father. She goes to Sam's bar for New Year's Eve. Sam has been in love with Scarlett for years but knows that nothing will come of it since she is his best friend's sister. That all changes with her request of a baby. He agrees to this with one condition.... he comes with the baby. He sees this as his chance to express his true feelings for her. Will they get their happy ever after?

Scarlet and Max have always wanted each other but have never acted on their feelings until now. It’s New Years Eve and Scarlet is on a mission to fall pregnant as her New Years resolution and Max is the guy she wants to be the donor.

This book was short and sweet. The chemistry and attraction between Max and Scarlet was HOT!!! I really enjoyed this short book, even though Max and Scarlet got their happily ever after I feel like their could be more to their story.

This was a sweet short story. After being dumped by her fiance the day before her wedding last year, Scarlett decided she wants a baby and her sperm donor choice is Max her brother's best friend. She meets him at his club and she propositions him. After they discuss their feelings, Max proposes. They have her dream wedding and their HEA.

This is a sweet romance between two people who have loved each other for years. Nothing ever developed between them because she is his best friends sister, but on New Year's Eve that's about to change. Scarlett and Max are believable characters with great hearts. My only complaint is that I wish their story was a novel. A great addition to the Resolution Pact. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This book starts off like a shot and doesn’t quit until the end. Scarlett has had a terrible year so is desperate to make the new one better. She asks her friend Max for a favor that he refuses to do. But his solution is so much better! Only wish the author had written more about their relationship and the one with her brother Logan.

I am loving the Resolution Series and this is probably my favorite of the series. After a bad break-up, Scarlett is ready to have a baby. Scarlett couldn't think of any one better than Max, her brother's best friend. She has crushed on Max since she was a teenager. What better time to ask Max than New Years Eve? Surprise! Max has been in love with her too and now that she is single, its time to make his move! This was an incredibly sweet story sure to put a smile on your face!

Great story line and characters, Awesome !! Loved this book. The storyline was so interesting that it had me turning pages in anticipation of where it would lead . This was a short story that is part of an anthology, but let me tell you, just because it's short, doesn't take away from the heat! I really enjoyed this! Single and wanting a baby, and after making a New Year's pact to go after what she wants, Scarlett tells Max, her brothers best friend, that she wants him to give her a baby! Scarlett has crushed on Max forever, and after tonight, she learns Max has been in love with her too!

Does this really count as a book I've read? It was mini pages long and took me 15 minutes to read... It was fast and so random.

I get that it's "insta-love" and all but does nobody wonder or question how they went from meeting, dancing, almost kissing, fighting, patching up and almost doing it in like.... a sentence? Then how his brother just suddenly walks in on them!? wut.

Sometimes I wonder why I read these type of books.

Do we always get what we want? - Hot and sexy!

From friends to lovers in an instant? Not realistic? Sometimes feelings are brewing so close to the surface that one resolution is enough to allow them to show. And the sparks fly. This one is scorching hot and the chemistry between characters just over the top. Great read! I was smiling from ear to ear.
