Resolution: G String by Olivia Hawthorne a four-star read you will want to pluck. I struggled to rate this one, in places it deserves a five-star rating, but then in others I struggled with it, so I thought a four was fair. The characters were fun, Chloe was someone that you really wanted to root for, and Gavin well he gets there eventually doesn’t he. Peg was sweet, I hope we get to hear from her in a future pact.

If you’re looking for a sweet rockstar romance that will have you cheering non stop, this is the novella for you. Who would of guessed that setting a New Years Resolution and actually following through on it could change yours entire life?. We’re given an up hill battle at times for this couple but in the end the heart always wins.

Making beautiful music together
I currently have an obsession with romance/erotic reads and my heart LOVES a rocker story. I think because they fondly make me remember the rocker crushes of my younger years.
Chloe needs to do something out of her comfort zone for the New Years pact with her former sorority sisters. She decides to take guitar lessons. What she didn't know is that, by a stroke of luck, her instructor is the famous, gorgeous, womanizing, playboy rocker, Gavin Pierce. Sparks fly when they meet but their love song doesn't come without some sour notes. Gavin's public life keeps getting in the way of their love at first sight story until he proves to Chloe she's the last & only one for him. This short read had me by the heart the whole way.

Our heroine decides to take a music lesson and is shocked to learn the teacher is a legendary rock star.
Another book in the Resolutions series of loosely connected stories all about trying something new. As with the previous stories in this series that I have read, I found the story well written and starring a couple of excellent characters. I may not care for the rock star's past exploits, but you have to give him the chance to prove he has changed. And she does, which gives us some hot and steamy moments and a wonderful evening read.
Highly recommended.

Ok, I’ll get this out of the way, to begin with, the typos! It is a pet peeve of mine when there are this many in a book! There were just so many; I’d be still stumbling over one when I’d falter over another in the next sentence. There were just too many for such a good author, and it ruined the book and the reading experience. So I have rated (star wise) the book accordingly, as I know this book was released over a year ago and should have been through its proofreading and copyediting stages.
Right, now that’s out of the way, onto the story! This wasn’t Olivia Hawthorne’s best story, it was ok, but it didn’t have her usual spark.
It was great that it was longer than most of the other Resolution books that I have read (in fact this is the last of the collaboration for me to read, and I think it is the longest). So you do feel as if you are getting Chloe and Gavin’s full story. I liked the drama with the paparazzi. It all fitted in well with the story and wasn’t rammed in there for the sake of it. It did all work, and all felt very realistic, especially everything that happened with Chloe’s university. I can imagine that happening as universities can be quite stuffy.
The characters were likeable and well written.
I just felt, overall, that something was missing. The chemistry between the characters, maybe? I can’t quite put my finger on it!
It wasn’t a terrible read, like I say it was ok, just nothing special and the typos certainly didn’t help.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is a story that is part of the Resolutions series written by a number of authors. In this book, Chloe is a grad student that is doing research in Seattle and she decides to use the resolution challenge to learn to play guitar. Chloe goes to a music store and buys a guitar and signs up for lessons. When she gets there for her first lesson, she is shocked to see the teacher is Gavin Pierce, a rock star. Gavin is on a break from touring and he wants a rest so he goes to Seattle where his sister runs a music store. Gavin has a broken foot and needs something to do, so he convinces her to let him teach the music lessons. Gavin thinks it will be fun and good publicity for the store. When Gavin meets Chloe, he is attracted to her and when they talk and get to know one another, Gavin wants to be with her. Gavin is looking to settle down and thinks Chloe is the one. Unfortunately, the press learns of Chloe and they hunt her down. The publicity causes Chloe to lose her funding for her research and now she also has to deal with the rumors about Gavin, making her think their connection was not real. I really liked this book. I liked how Gavin knew how he felt about Chloe and he wanted to talk to her to convince her how he felt. I think they were really good together and formed a connection through friendship first. Good one.

Chloe wasn’t into this whole resolution making thing like the rest of her sorority sisters were but she’s always wanted to learn to play the guitar so she thought why not. Little did she know that when she signed up for her lessons at the local music store that her instructor would be the one and only rockstar Gavin Pierce, she was determined not to be just another fan girl but on the inside she was freaking out a bit. Gavin was determined to get Chloe to see him for more then the rockstar and to see the person he truly was. But when they go to hook up Chloe ends up passing out before the deed is done and Gavin isnt the type of guy that takes advantage of a girl when they cant consent to it, the next morning Chloe wakes up and doesn’t remember much but she’s sure they didn’t do it and when she goes to leave there are tons of photographers there to capture her walk of shame and everything goes downhill from there. Will her life every go back to normal after being seen with a rockstar and could Gavin really get the girl of his dreams and change his ways and become a one woman guy.

Chloe decides that as part of her New Year's resolution that she's going to learn to play guitar. When she goes to her first lesson its being taught by Gavin a famous musician. Gavin is on a little break and is helping his sister at her music shop. He hates giving lessons but is instantly drawn to Chloe so he doesn't mind teaching her. They connect and things starts to progress between them until the press starts following Chloe around. Will Gavin be able to get her to see that he is the man for her?
This is a great short story that once you start it you wont be able to put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

It saddens me to say this but I wasn’t too much into this one. I honestly just felt no connection between the characters or really much time with them even together. Constant talk about his sleeping around and sharing women with his actor buddy but no real meaningful conversations between the characters. And the fact what happens to her and all she hears it’s crazy to me how quickly she gave into him without any explanation or I’m sorry. Idea of the story was good and the ending was cute.

Another great selection from the Resolution Series. I am really loving this series. G-String is about Chloe and Gavin. Chloe's resolution is to learn to play the guitar. After getting the mass message from her ex Mi Alpha Alpha sorority sister, she decided to go for it. She never expected her teacher to be sexy Rock star Gavin. They have definite chemistry. Gavin is tired of the playboy lifestyle and he has fallen head over heels for Chloe but will his playboy lifestyle tear them apart? Great story with an awesome epilogue!

Chloe always wanted to learn to play the guitar, she chooses to take lessons as her New Year challenge. Her instructor is Gaven Pearce, playboy, bad boy rock star. He is intrigued because Chloe is not fawning over him like a groupie. They talk and get to know one another after they lessons and he discovers he has found a woman who is real and begins to think she is the one. If course there are misunderstandings but they have an HEA. I liked this quick read.

Chloe just wants to learn how to play the guitar. It is something she has always wanted to do and their is not time like the present. She just didn't expect who her teacher was going to be.
Gavin is a rock star who is getting burnt out. He returns home for a short while and agrees to teach lessons to help his sister out. He didn't know that this lesson was going to change his life.
I really liked the flow between these two. While this book was very short, you could see their interest grow. You could understand the happy times but also the sad/angry times.

Chloe has always wanted to learn how to play the guitar so when her sorority sister texts her about a New Year's Challenge she decides it's time. Gavin is a famous, playboy rockstar who needed a break from the lifestyle, he gives her guitar lessons and so much more. I have to admit when I saw the title guitar lessons is not what I thought this book would be about. Great writing, sweet story and G-strings. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

An amazing love at first sight romance! An entertaining and interesting read that is wonderfully written with intriguing characters. The chemistry between Chloe and Gavin is intense, passionate, sweet, and off the charts HOT! The storyline is well-developed, witty, funny, and moves at a brisk pace. Definitely recommended.

Gavin is a famous musician. He just wants to have a break. So he goes spend time with his big sister. Their relationship is amazing.
The chemistry between Chloe and Gavin is amazing. They go through some things. But they come out on top. This book was a nice quick read.

A beautiful story. I loved Gavin and Chloe. For all the glamour and rock and roll Gavin is still trying to make that honest human connection. I thought it was portrayed very well with him trying to find a balance and poor Chloe getting thrown in at the deep end.
The insta love was perfect, and very hot. I loved how they worshiped each other and the ending was just sheer perfection.

Chloe is a student who has her nose in a book most of the time. In her quest to do something for herself she meets rock star Gavin. I love it when a guy gets knocked on his butt about a girl. They are great together and the sexual tension is thick. Just when Chloe thinks she can have it all, paparazzi, miscommunication and misfortune come crashes down.
I really liked this book, the characters and the happy ending.

Loved it!
This was a great story with honest mistakes and outside drama. Gavin and Chloe were so cute. But I'm getting really irritated at notorious playboys getting intimate without protection without any kind of a conversation about it. Ew. This is the third book in a row from this series where that has happened. It's an easy fix. Gross.

Chloe accepts her sorority challenge to go for something new. She decides to learn to play guitar but what’s unexpected is her famous teacher. Gavin’s big sister owns a music store where teaches for a couple of weeks. It was love at first sight in-spite of his player reputation and her fan girl moments. Angsty separation with great HEA!
