I don't know why but I'm still really enjoying this series even though I'm getting tired of isekai stories in general. Maybe it's the battles, the strategies, the kingdom building, the politics, the characters that are like one big family, all of which push the right buttons for me?

In this particular volume, I'm glad Yuuto was able to return to our world. He needed to resolve some loose ends with his dad and steel himself to return to Yggdrasil of his own volition. Part of me is glad Mitsuki is going with him, but on the other, it feels like she is sacrificing more than he is, and I'll feel bad for the loving family she's leaving behind. Going by the cover of the next volume, I'm looking forward to Yuuto's triumphant return.

Best Volume Yet

The rise and fall and hopelessness of Uutto, the Wolf Clan and the girl he left behind. A tough portion of the story but well told and page turning.
