Aggressive Russian

Well written story which is written in dual POV and that gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. I would have like a bit less informations that did not have any purpose in the story. The Russian Info was a bit off because it does not fit the story. But I like the theme in it. Once again it has a Hero that is possessed and protective with a younger woman. Her father has ordered him to protect her but he is attracted to her.
I find that Flora Ferrari has made a really good research for this story and I like that. It is more readable without the Wikipedia page descriptions.
A really enjoyable and captivating story where a man is a man and he goes for the woman he wants!

Julie is in college little realising that he has asked his 'friend' Vladmir to watch over her whilst she lives in that dangerous part of the city. Vladmir is a man who is Russian through and through and his way of 'romancing' his woman is rather different from the usual western world courtship. Julie becomes aware of Vladmir when she comes out of a theatre and she is mugged and her watch stolen whilst she hesitates to get in a taxi in which the driver, Vladmir, encourages her to get out of harms way and into the taxi. What happens next horrifies her and her world as she has known it changes. Vladmir is all alpha male and she is very attracted to him instantly but also is fearful of his world in which she seems to be drawn into. Flora Ferrari always delights me when she diverges from the straight forward romance and delves into the politics in the world of her story [Has Flora thought about writing a political suspense novel for us to enjoy??] I love reading romances but I also like this aspect of the book - however, if this does not appeal to you so much, do not worry as it does not detract from the insta love romance between Julie and Vladmir. I did relish the way the mean landlord had to get his act in gear to protect his tenants and was fascinated reading about the relationships between the police and the communities. Julie is delivered a shock and Vlad is there to help her. he is so not the kind of man that she felt she would ever be attracted to but he is most certainly the man for her. I received an ARC of the story, so I'm not including spelling and grammar errors in my review. I will say that, as someone from New York, no one there calls the subway the metro.

I feel bad about leaving this review, but I'm obligated through Booksprout.

Like the title says, the hero is Russian. For some reason, the author added all these facts about current Russian meddling in the USA into the story; it became a convoluted mess. I'm not even sure where she was going with it, because it didn't help the story at all. It actually made all of the characters more unlikable. It was short bursts of facts which went nowhere and the characters didn't even attempt to solve. The heroine condemns her father for his career and hates what the hero does, but justifies it because she finds him sexy? This just went on and on. Then he takes her to shoot a gun, buys her a faux fur coat and all is forgotten. The hero only gave up his Russian collusion stuff because he wanted to have a family, not due to any epiphany of wrong doing.

There was no real connections to the characters. I even had trouble finishing it. I didn't feel like the author was preaching politics, I just felt like she tried to make her romance topical, but failed badly.

I hated it.

This is a safe read with no OW/OM drama. There is explicit language and a couple of sex scenes, so be warned if you don't want to read it.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the instant love between older man Vladmir and younger woman Julie. Vladmir was hired by Julie's father to watch her while she was in New York for law school. Vladmir was head of the Russian mob and worked with Julie's father, who was a lobbyist in Washington. Vladmir watched Julie from a distance, but the more he watched her, the more he wanted her. When Julie was pick-pocketed, Vladmir got her watch back and protected her from a threat she didn't even know was there. Julie was attracted to the huge man who helped her and the next day he came to her house and told her he wanted her. Julie was unsure what to think, but Vladmir watched over her and eventually she agreed to talk to him. Vladmir told her about her father and that he wanted her to be his. The more Julie got to know Vladmir, the more she wanted to be with him. I really enjoyed this story and thought Vladmir was so protective of Julie. I love how he was so sure of his feelings for her and how he wanted a family with her. Julie was smart and she knew Vladmir would always protect her and never lie to her. Another good one from Flora.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Julie and Vladimir. Julie believes that she is just a simple girl who is in college to study law and become a lawyer. That all changes one night while she is out enjoying cheap entertainment. When she leaves and off off broadway production in Russian of Romeo and Juliet she gets mugged. If that wasn't enough the man who gets back her stolen item also makes sure this man will never do this again. Vladamir was sent to protect Julie not fall in love with her. Now however he doesn't care who he has to go through to get his woman and protect her. Can these two find a HEA or will who they are and who wants to get her make it impossible for them to ever get one?

This is another amazing hit by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the end. These characters take you on a journey you never expected. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Vlad and Julie. He's been asked to watch out for her by her dad, he's a DC lobbyist and he has some shady friends. Julie is in law school in New York City. She decides to treat herself to a play, unfortunately it's in the wrong neighborhood. As she's waiting sleeve theater a car pulls up with a taxi sign and he says that she needs to come with him it's safer, when some guy bumps into her. Unbeknownst to Julie the guy that bumped into her actually stole her watch, and Vlad got it back, but he wasn't really a mugger. He actually was trying to harm Julie to get back at her dad. Vlad takes care of her but has decided she is the one for him. Over the next several days they see each other on and off well he is monitoring her building so nothing happens to her. Once Vlad's true intentions are realized Julie confronts her father. This is a great quick read with lots of suspense and lots of heat.

Big pass on this one

Another looser by Flora Ferrari. I read her books because they are fluff and full of obsessive alpha hero’s that fall in instalove and are super possessive and protective of their women. I DO NOT read her books for a lesson on Russian Foreign policy. I have to assume that there are several different people who write Flora Ferrari books because there are definitely a couple different styles of writing. We finally got rid of the writer who constantly wrote multiple page descriptions/brochure style and now we have to have a school session. Again I read her books because they are light and what I call no brainers. Please go back to the original formula or you are going to loose readers. This comes from someone that has read every single book in this series. All 94 of them.

there seems to be a lot Julie knows little or nothing about, in terms of what her lobbyist father really does for a living - like which clients he lobbies for.

A Chechen threat, and eventual kidnap attempt, and a Russian hottie looking out for her - not anything she had on her radar.

But she has him on her radar now - Vladimir is full of lots of surprises - some of them are very nice.

I love that readers from a wide spectrum enjoy these books. Flora Ferrari writes some dominating men, strong women, and a base of love, respect and support.

And this book is really no exception.

An exciting May/ December HEA romance with international flair- did I mention super hot and steamy ? oh yeah!

Vladmir is hired by Julie's father to watch over her while she's at school. When someone makes a move on her and steals from her Vladmir is angry and takes care of it. However he also shows himself and spooks Julie. Julie knows that she shouldn't be interested in the man she just saw kill someone but she's intrigued nonetheless. She calls one of her friends trying to dig more info on him up when he appears at her door. Vladmir knows that Julie is his and he just has to show her there's another side to him. Will Julie give him a chance? What will her father say about them?

This is a steamy hot story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Our heroine is off to school and her father has made some enemies, so he asks our hero to watch over her. He decides to do that very thoroughly.

This is a hot and steamy story where you have no doubt where things are going. Both the hero and the heroine make their connection fast and hang on tight. I have to admit that there is some relief in knowing our couple is going to work and just watching them plow through any roadblocks. It makes for a fun and relaxing read.

It helps that the story was well written and the characters were fun to read. There are a few speed bumps in the relationship to keep things interesting, but nothing is going to stop our couple. And we are treated to several steamy seems along the way. A highly enjoyable read.

Highly recommended.

Loved it

Brilliant loved this one. Vladimir is an alpha male and once he sees what he wants/needs he will get it and that is Julie he has been watching and protecting her from afar as her father wanted but not anymore. Vladimir is out of the shadows and letting himself known to Julie
Julie doesn’t know what to think of Vladimir first he gets her watch back but killed the person who took it then he gets the doors replaced with better security at the building she is staying while going to college. Julie takes Vladimir up on his offer and has lunch with him where she finds out about what her father actually does and why he was asked to watch over her. Julie rings her father to confirm what Vladimir has told her and also to check that her father does know Vladimir.
Julie knows she belongs with Vladimir and can’t or won’t fight it anymore she is his as much he is hers.

Wow! What a great story. I really enjoy all of Flora's books. They seem to be getting better and better. This one is not only packed full of inta love but just the right amount of suspense and drama. Julie is a young woman living and going to school away from home. Vlad is the man who Julie's father has asked to keep an eye on her from a distance. The more time Vlad spends watching over her the more he wants her. Julie is not sure whether to trust him at first. She quickly realizes she can and the pace picks up from there. The chemistry between the two is hot. I liked the story line and found the story of what was going on around them very interesting. I loved the HEA

I am still gobsmacked that Flora Ferrari can be on her 94th book in the same genre and still make each one feel fresh and new and this one is no exception to that rule I enjoyed it immensely I was flicking pages as fast as I could

Vladimir as been tasked with protecting Julia by her father and when someone steals from her he takes the ultimate action to correct the problem Julie as the feeling that she is been watched when she catches sight of Vladimir she now knows who is watching He believes she needs to know the truth about him and his past and also the fact that she is his and he will never let her go. As Julie gets to know the huge man that is always there she realises her feelings for himare just as strong

Another awesome Inta-love romance by Flora Ferrari! Vladmir was only supposed to be watching and protecting his best friend's daughter. Falling in love with the young American was not in his plans. But there is no way he will let her go. Julie is in New York to attend law school. Vladmir works for the Russian mob and works with Julie's dad who is a lobbyist in DC. Julie is weary of Vladmir in the beginning but she is also very attracted to him. She may have witnessed his violent side when she was robbed on the street but for some reason she knows she can trust him. They may fall in love quickly but they both know its forever. Definitely recommend. 5 stars!

Holy HOTNESS Batman! Aggressive Russian is so hot it will probably melt more than your kindle. Fair warning, you might need an extra pair of La Perla. Valdimir has been hired by Julia's dad to keep an eye on her in New York. When she finds herself in a scary part of town, he rushes to the rescue and refuses to ever let her be in harms way again. He claimed her months ago when he first saw her, but how will she feel about being claimed or about the truth bombs he drops on her? Outstanding story. You definitely want to one-click this Aggressive Russian.

ONE SCORCHING READ!!!
Wow! Man, talk about a quick read. A riveting, fast paced, easy to follow, action packed read with surprises that keep your heart racing and your adrenaline pumping. With a rollercoaster of emotions, this is one read that will bring you to your knees. With a combustible chemistry between two of the main characters you'll fall in love with them. One team, one family, one hell of a ride. Barb has surpassed even my imagination in her talents to bring this read to such realistic proprosion that leaves you breathless and begging for more. Flora did a remarkable job bringing this read to life.

Loved it

Julie is the daughter of a lobbyist, starting law school at Brooklyn U. An afternoon at the theater leads an unexpected encounter.
Vladimir is a Russian immigrant who runs an international syndicate. Julie is his partners daughter. John asked him to keep an eye on her. Once her laid eyes on her, he decided to claim her.
Fast paced and steamy, with a great epilogue to wrap up their story. Vlad is an aggressive take charge dirty talking alpha caveman. Julie is smart and strong, and gives as good as she gets.
I love Flora's books. They are an automatic buy for me. I know will get a great story.

This is one of the better in this giant grouping I think because it has intrigue, a possessive, rough-around-the-edges alpha male who has fallen deeply for his surveillance target; who happens to be his best friend's daughter. His intensity, respect and blunt attraction are quickly reciprocated by the young lady who sees no problem committing "forever." This "insta-love" is the theme throughout these books so, it is not surprising. As a side note, do not do what I did, and that was read several in a row because they start to blend together; they are best enjoyed read a good couple of days apart.

I loved and enjoyed reading this book. It is beautifully written with an air of suspense and violence. The chemistry between the characters is intense and off the charts. I love Vladmir’s take charge and aggressive attitude and Julie’s feistiness. Taking the time to read this book will be time well spent. Trust me; you do not want to miss out on reading this book! Next time you’re cold, warm up with a hot Russian! That’s the moral of this short and sweet insta-love story.
Talk about opposites attracting! Julia and Vladimir are both living separate, empty lives and don’t know it. That is until they meet and begin another, more exuberant, completely different, life than one they had ever expected in their lifetime.

a brill read that hooks you from the start with hot alpha Russian protector Vladimir and Julie a law student who he's been asked to keep safe by her dad John in this insta love romance that has a man that gets what he wants , drama , hot chemistry , murder , some hot scenes and much more ,it's well written with a good storyline and great and likeable characters and a HEA and a great epilogue

Flora has done it again with another fantastic book! This one has the Aggressive Russian who will stop at nothing to have the woman that has blow his mind. Her safety and future with him is all that he can think of and he will make sure that every one knows what is in store for them if they get in his way.

I really liked this steamy insta-love read. Vladimir is asked to keep an eye on Julie from a distance by her father and soon he can’t resist in meeting her. Sparks fly but will Vladimir tell her the truth or keep her in the dark. This this is a fast-paced read with lots of drama and suspense. The characters have great chemistry and likable and the story draws you in from beginning to end. A good read.
