"Writing so brilliant it's impossible to put down" ... "Exceptional" ... "Surprised and delighted"BANGKOK, MARCH 2018. The world looked on in horror as millions of innocent lives were snuffed out in a matter of hours. Countless men, women and children slaughtered without mercy, torn apart by a violent mob that attacked without reason, motive or warning. Tom Freeman witnessed the aftermath. He reported on the tragedy and looked into the eyes of the sole survivor, an old friend, and what he saw looking back sent him running home to the United States. Back to safety. Back to a place where the world made sense, and the putrid stink of the dead didn't haunt his nightmares... Turns out he didn't run quickly enough. They're coming. Remain indoors... Gather supplies... Find a weapon... The zombies are here, and they're hungry. This is the Last Man Standing trilogy, complete, unabridged and collected for the first time in a single volume. From the author of the internationally bestselling This Is the Way the World An Oral History of the Zombie War.
Keith Taylor is the true identity of the million plus selling author behind the pen names Aya Fukunishi and K A Taylor, who toiled for years writing bizarrely popular romance novels while he secretly longed to return to his true calling: explosively awesome post-apocalyptic fiction.
Keith hails from the rainy suburbs of Manchester in the north of England. He lives with his wife, Otgontsetseg, and splits his time between Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and Bangkok, Thailand. He survives on a diet of meat, cheese, beer and cigarettes, and he probably shouldn't still be alive.
Yeah. No thank you. The MC, asshole. He knows that the ZPoc is going to happen and yet does nothing, doesn’t even buys a gun, stupid. Then risks his life to save a woman he doesn’t loved. Takes an infected man to a quarantined area, lies that he isn’t infected then gets a kid and a man killed, does nothing about it. Then leads the man to a group of a thousand survivors. WTF, all this in the first chapters. I don’t feel a person can redeem themselves after this. What is he going to do? Save a handful of survivors? Will that make up for the thousands that he killed. So sad, this book ended for me before it even got started.
Just when you thought zombie books were the same and predictable.......
A unique take on the genre that was different, exciting, and a fast paced series I couldn't get enough of. This is the second Taylor novel that I've read and I just bought my third. Outstanding!!!!!
Don't over analyse it, just enjoy. Similar to World War Z, this book series takes the reader on an adventure. Sure, it's predictable, but who cares. The author provides all the necessities a zombie fan will enjoy.
How have I not read this sooner?! It’s so good! It’s everything you would hope for and expect from a zombie book. The way the infected are described will make you anxious and it was really cool to read a couple of chapters from the infected’s POV to see how they operate. Every new character will make you either hate or love them, and the deaths are chaotic and sad. It literally felt like I was watching a movie.
Now, I’m not one to get offended by what a character says, but I know many people take these words to heart as if the author is spewing them themselves (which is stupid). So if you’re reading this and you’re easily triggered, here’s your warning for possible triggering- there is offensive language about women and Mexicans.
I have so much to say, but I wont . All I can do is highly recommend this book to any smart zombie novel lover. I'm sad to have it end in three books. I was enthralled and enjoyed the series so much, it seemed rushed. So we'll written, terrifying, and page turning. I would definitely read it again. But, not until after I read more books by Keith Taylor.
This was so much fun to listen to, it doesn't take itself seriously and the ,main characters are interesting - starting off very flawed but then grow throughout their 'journey', the evil characters are very evil and get there very quickly. The last book in the series was the best and worked really well and the humour was brilliant. The narration works well. I binge listened to this as just had to keep listening.
These books are foiled with exciting and adventurous zombie killing and excitement
That’s all surgeries is full of excitement, adventure, zombies and everything you can hope for in the world gone behind with zombies, very exciting Barry and tricking and Paige turning keep you on the edge of your seat

This was a pretty fun take on the zombie genre and I really liked Vee or Victoria as a "side" character and the main character wasn't bad either and went trough a pretty good learning experience, coming out the other end like a " hero".
Easily one of the best series of post-apocalyptic stories that I recommend to all my fellow horror/action fans. Grips your mind and never let's go. Unique book that keeps the pages turning!
This was a quick and interesting series as zombie stories go. The storyline was always changing and progressing to a satisfactory ending of the 3 book series.
A man made virus is let loose on the world. Zombies are multiplying by the second. Tom a reporter is our hero. Read how the human population struggles against the virus
I loved the characters, loved the story line, loved that there was no babbling, it was fast paced and action packed. Definitely my kind of book. I could not put it down!
Couldn’t put it down. I only wish there were more character developments and more of a journey to the ending. Loved the writing style, the plot, everything about this series.
