This is such a good adaptation of the bible! This is 52 devotionals with stories and sections from the bible. It explains how the Bible is organized and what is happening in the bible in a very kid friendly way. There is also additional information, discussion questions and prayer at the end of every section. Highly recommend!

I have read through this with my son (5) twice since we received it as a gift at Easter. I think it is a great tool
To not only work through Bible stories but also themes in the Bible. I also think that it appeals to multiple ages and we will be reading it again over the years!

Quite possibly the best children's storybook Bibles out there. It's engaging and wonderfully illustrated. It makes both kids and parents think about what they read and provides helpful insights and questions for both to engage with the story and with each other. It's also written in a way that allows your child to interact with the stories, asking questions within the text that they would ask or answer anyway.

I also appreciate the way key definitions were integrated into the text and explained in ways both kids and parents could understand.

I absolutely cannot recommend this book highly enough for anyone with kids. I went through it with my 4 year old and while some stuff was a bit over her head, I was shocked at how much she understand. It could easily be used for kids through fourth or fifth grade I'd bet but probably K-3 is the target. Do t let that limit you though, as I absolutely loved it as an adult too.

What a great Bible for preschoolers! The stories (along with two questions and a short prayer at the end) were the PERFECT length for my three- and five-year-old. We found this children's Bible engaging, interesting, and full of great connections. I particularly liked the emphasis on the continuing redemption story, recalling previous stories and continually reminding readers of how God was fulfilling His covenant promises to Abraham.

Preschoolers's reviews:
"I love the Laugh and Learn Bible. There were some funny things, like when it said, 'God might have had to poke Noah with a stick to wake him up.' And also like when it said, 'You might've spit out your milk and said, "He did what?!"' Roar! I liked the last two chapters. I learned about everything that there is to learn about the Bible. That's kind of it."

"I liked 'Tricky Bits' [and explanatory section]."

We have been reading the stories in this beautiful Bible as a family and have literally laughed out loud! Some of the storytelling is truly funny but also, the illustrations are whimsical and make the whole experience feel lighthearted and fun. But even more important is all of the extra content that is included. There are maps and charts and introductions to each Bible section that will really help kids understand the Bible as a whole, not just one story at a time. My kids are a bit older (ages 8 and 11) and they love it. But I think younger kids will love it too because the stories are told in language they can relate to. This is definitely going to be our go-to family Bible from now on!

We have been working through this one at breakfast time as a family, and we really enjoyed it. Yes, it doesn't include all of the classic stories you might expect in a children's Bible, but every children's Bible has to make some tough choices about what to include and what not to include. What sets this apart in my opinion are the questions at the end of each story. These were very well done and brought about some good discussion with the kids. It's also just refreshing to read a different children's Bible with the kids each time to get different angles and different impressions that you wouldn't get from re-reading the same one every time.

A perfect opportunity for nighttime Bible story reading before bed, Phil Vischer’s (Creator of Veggie Tales) Laugh and Learn Bible is incredibly well done. Short, engaging, informative, with fun illustrations, this would be a valuable resource for ages 5 and up to introduce some of the most important stories and concepts of the Bible. After the end of each story, you will find a page to explore things further through Tricky Bits, Fun Facts, Everyday Truths, Discussion, and Prayer. Looking forward to using this with my grandchildren when they get older.

We started using this Bible for nighttime reading at Christmas. Instead of doing it once a week, we ended up doing it every night! Both the adults and kids in our house loved this Bible and learned a lot from it. It is readable, humourous, and teaches important truths about God. I loved that it wasn't focused on teaching kids stories or moral lessons, but big truths about God and the Gospel!

We love it

We read this everyday with our 5 year old. He loves it. He would answer questions in the story or at the end of the story. The explanations are very relatable to him. He likes the pictures too. Mom finds the doctrine taught in the book very sound. We would pray together at the end of every story. 5-year-old made a decision to trust Jesus as his Savior.

Pretty good kids Bible. It emphasized many doctrines and practical issues clearly and effectively. It also pointed many of the Old Testament narratives to their ultimate fulfillment in Jesus. However on occasion the clear Old Testament pointers to Jesus weren’t recognized - as in the even the case of Abraham’s sacrifice of Isaac if I remember right. 4 stars.

I am thoroughly impressed. When I read this to my daughter, I learn! This is a testament to Vischer's grasp of Scripture that he can impart genuine insights while writing on a child's level. May I come to understand the Bible so well.
