Be mindful and present in your daily life with these 180 uplifting messages, organized by theme. Founder of MantraBand Aysel Gunar provides an inspiring introduction on the importance of positive, meaningful mantras in your life.
Whether your focus is peace, love, happiness, strength, or your journey—you'll find the perfect mantra for every day of your life. Some of the positive messages you'll find:
Be Present: Be present, free of past and future, and enjoy this moment, that is filled with love, awareness, peace, and joy.
Love and Light: May love and light always find you, and may you be a vessel of love and light. Let these powerful forces pull you away from your fears and open you to the understanding of oneness.
Choose Joy: A phrase so simple, yet so powerful that it changes one's outlook on life. It helps us realize the power of our minds and the power of our attitude. A simple step in the path to a more positive life and a constant reminder to choose happiness.
Blessed: You are greatly blessed and deeply loved. Count your blessings, not your troubles. I am awake, I am alive, I am blessed. By reading these affirmations—one a day, several at a time, or just by opening the book at random—you're taking the first step toward building a more rewarding life.
A beautiful book that would make a nice gift, but comes across as shallow - more style than substance. A lot of the "mantras" are also repeated (i.e. just a different way of saying the exact same thing). You're better off browsing the quotes section of Pinterest.
This book is exactly what you think it is. 75 mantras and the ways that you can incorporate them into your day to day living. I love the fact that it breaks down each and every mantra and also has a guide for meditation.
The world is crumbling and life will always have its challenges. It's overwhelming but there is always help and hope, this is exactly what I took away from this fantastic book. Combined with beautiful peaceful imagery this is the very definition of a great self help book. The affirmations are flowy and simple which I love.
Thanks very much to Netgalley and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
At the beginning, this felt like an ad for the author's product. Otherwise it's a great collection of simple, easy to remember mantras. Each mantra is followed by a brief explanation, an action for embodying the mantra, and a benefit it will bring into your life. The writing is simple, easy to understand, and positive, plus it's really pretty! This book would be a great gift or a tool to have on hand when you need a reminder that things will get better.
Many thanks to NetGalley for my advanced digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Find Your Mantra: Inspire and empower your life with 75 positive affirmations by Aysel Gunar
Rock Point 39 pages 2019 Nonfiction, health, inspiration Rating: 4/5
I received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley and Rock Point in exchange for an unbiased review.
The author founded MantraBand in 2012 as a means to “Live in the Moment”. These are some popular affirmations from the growing brand of MantraBand bracelets. The author explains the origins of the origins of “mantra” and the modern use for increasing positivity in your life. The thoughts and expressions provide insight and reflection for the reader to discern what might be appropriate for him/her.
This is a handy book which contains many positive affirmations which may be used as a part of one’s spiritual journey. It is an alternative or adjunct to the author’s original creation of a simple and durable bracelet with mantra inscribed.
Whether a bracelet or this book, I find it helpful to have constant reminders of how to maintain positivity. Although it’s always a challenge, I invite any “tools” which I can add to my spiritual toolbox!
The illustrations and font were light and sweet, not overbearing.
This covers different mantra focuses such as love, peace and gratitude, etc.
Overall, a nice book to flick through when you need a pick me up boost to focus on, but it didn’t really say anything new and used a few cliche phrases.
This is a cute little hard cover book featuring 75 positive affirmations. It is broken down into five chapters (aside from the introduction & about): Peace, Love, Happiness, Strength, and Journey. The thing I find interesting about mantra's or "Quotes of the Day" is how they can resonate with you depending on where you are in your life.
The idea is to explore what it is about the words that are making you feel. These words can lead you to change should you choose to apply it to your life in a real way. Obviously, just the words wont change anything, it's your actions and how the words inspire you.
For example, I found a good amount of the mantra's rather childish. Telling me that something will happen if I believe it will, is ridiculous to me. So if I want to fall pregnant I will simply because I believe I will? Yeah, okay, I wish. However, I can see this being rather inspiring for someone much younger than myself. Another quote of, "Everything happens for a reason" doesn't sit all that well with me either. This implies that I have no control over my destiny. Yet if I believe in something, it will happen, so that tells me I do have control over my destiny. So which is it? There is no true answer to this.
The point of the mantras is that it's whatever resonates with you as an individual. For example I found the mantras on strength to resonate most strongly with me. I suspect that this is due to the many struggles I have had throughout my life. One of my long held mantras is "This too shall pass." It happens to be in this book. Another I enjoy, is "Be the change." This resonates with me due to my holistic "tree hugger" lifestyle. I want to be the change I want to see in the world.
This beautiful little book is very well made, with the pages stitched in rather than glued. The watercolor artwork adds a soft and calming touch. Overall, not a perfect book, but none of us is perfect, so it's good enough for me.
Aysel Gunar, the creator of Mantra Bands has created this book to helping readers find their own personal mantra in this guide to "Inspire and Empower Your Life with 75 Positive Affirmations."
I will start out by saying that I'm a huge believer in the power of positive thought and have been using affirmations in my life for years.
Gunar's approach in this book is very simplistic, and I can appreciate the beauty and power in that. I do think that some of the mantas in the book were a little cliche and more basic than I'd like, but I did like how she went into depth about each one, giving it a deeper meaning and providing steps to put the mantra into action. She also lists benefits that focusing on each mantra will bring into your life.
This is something that could be very helpful for those wanting to get started with mantras and/or affirmations and highly recommend it for beginners. I think that with everything included in the book there is something anyone could find value in and use for the better in their life.
Overall, I will say that with such a gorgeous photo I was expecting more similar artwork within the book. Not all of the mantras have accompanying illustrations, which I would have liked to see. I also would have appreciated more of the art to be cohesive with the style of the cover.
Still, this gets four stars from me and I'd I think it's great for people wanting to discover their own personal mantra or find one applicable to a specific situation. Thanks to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group for the ARC!
"Why worry? When you worry about something you suffer twice. Live more mindfully, fearlessly, and with an open heart. Be present in this this moment. Practice gratitude and trust the journey that it leads you on. Let your "what if's" be positive rather than the worst possible outcome. Enjoy the experience and only problem-solve when there's an actual problem." • This books is filled with 75 positive affirmations each with a mantra action and benefit to put to use in your daily life. They are organized by categories Peace, Love, Happiness, Strength, and Journey. These Mantras are modernized and are meant to inspire inner peace and strength.
This book is beautiful inside! The photography, layout and quotes themselves. I'm not one that has used affirmations in my life much before but as someone who can worry too much and get anxiety I decided to be open minded and give this book a try. I did find it helpful without being preachy. The layout makes it super user friendly. I will definitely return to this one as needed for motivation and positive energy. Also I love the idea behind the @mantraband • Thank You to the publisher for sending me this book and mantra band opinions are my own. • For more of my book content check out instagram.com/bookalong
Not Truly New Mantras, but Mantra Actions are Good
In this book, you will find 75 mantras along with suggested actions for you to take to fully embody or embrace what the mantra is about. The book is divided into 5 core topics: peace, love, happiness, strength, and journey. I was surprised as I was flipping through the book at how common these mantras are. A few of them might be original to the author, but most are short, commonplace sayings--commonplace, at least, if you’ve done much reading in self-help or self-development. What does make this book interesting are the suggested mantra actions, though some are a bit general. After all, it is one thing to say a mantra and another thing to try fully practice, embrace, or get to know it more deeply. I think that's what this book's strength is. The writing is a little awkward, as if the writer is not a native English speaker or has been translated from another language. If you have an interest in positive thinking or translating positive thinking into action, this book could be for you.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Mantras are popular these days; they are phrases that are repeated to move individual's to a "higher" and more self-aware state. In addition, these phrases encourage one to be mindful and present.
The author of this book has collected mantras that relate to different categories; these include Peace, Love, Happiness, Strength and Journey. There are gentle and attractive illustrations throughout each of these sections.
Some of these mantras are tried and true and will be familiar, while others may be less so. For each, the author includes a Mantra Action and a Mantra Benefit. One example:
"Live More. Worry Less." The author suggests an action which includes a meditation for calming fretting. She also lists a benefit, in this instance, seeing your shoulders be less hunched and the reader feeling better over time.
Many may well enjoy spending a moment each day to center and reflect. This book can help to do just that.

This is a great little book filled with positivity. Find Your Mantra by Aysel Gunar is a book you can read over and over again. There are 75 positive affirmations, as well as beautiful watercolors and photos. Ms. Gunar is the founder of MantraBands a jewelry company that makes bracelets with positive affirmations. The Mantras are divided in several categories: Love, Peace, Happiness, Journey and Strength. You can to start in a specific section where you feel you need positive thoughts or simply open the book and read what is before you. For each Mantra there is the mantra itself, the mantra action and finally the mantra benefit. Very uplifting and nice to have so many in one little book.

Find Your Mantra: Inspire and Empower Your Life with 75 Positive Affirmations by Aysel Gunar is a great beginner's guide to help get a reader started with the use of mantras and affirmations. Within the book, you are given a mantra and actions that you can to to incorporate them into your daily lives, along with including the benefits. It's best to approach the book with an open mind. With this being more of a beginner's introduction, the content is simple and direct, with no full side information beyond the mantras and their actions.
My rating is more based on the NetGalley copy that I received. The formatting in the copy that I'd received was horrible. Some of the mantras were in the pictures featured in the book, but many of them were cut off and nothing I did allowed me to see the image as a whole, so some of the mantras weren't available for me to read.
This will be my first really mixed review. I really liked Find Your Mantra by Aysel Gunnar, but I do have some critiques. I like when a book with art flows. When the art is similar in style and consistent through the whole book. This was the only problem I had with this book. The arty pages are different from one piece to another. Otherwise the book is wonderful and full of soul strengthening mantras.
I received a free review copy from the publisher in exchange for my honest unedited feedback.
I feel that this book would be a good starting point for someone who is new to using mantras and/or affirmations. For anyone who is more familiar with mantras, there will be many that you are familiar with in this book, and perhaps a few new tips to pick up from it's pages. To improve it, I would play around with formatting a bit (using an inverted triangle format for the afirmation being in a large font at the top of the page and the two other sections using at most half of the font size of the information, for easier browsing).
*Thank you to Netgally for allowing ne to read this book in exchange for an honest review
This is a beautifully illustrated book of mantras and affirmations, along with the author’s thoughts about each. For me, there was nothing really new here but it might be good for someone who is new to using mantras and affirmations. Also, I felt that perhaps the author wrote this book to promote his line of bracelets, seeing as how he writes about that a lot in the introduction.
Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I strongly believe in the use of mantras. I think they can help you live a more peaceful, joyful and content life. There is power in our words. This was a lovely collection of mantras. I liked how you received a mantra along with an action and a benefit to that mantra. It really made the words more powerful. Dream Bigger is my personal fave. I also love mantra bands. The one I have says Breathe. A great reminder. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a free review copy.
This is a lovely self-help book in which the author gives 75 mantras that we can use in our lives, to help bring about creativity, strength, love, peace, joy, positivity, confidence and much more. I really enjoyed this book and it helped me to feel more empowered and confident. The book also has lovely graphics, which are inspiring.

“By changing the way you think, you’ll change the way you feel.”
I’ve been on a personal journey recently to find myself, my best self, and reading affirmations and words of positivity have been so helpful. Having these reminders in front of me makes it easier to move forward and grow, to stop myself when negativity creeps in and get me back on track.
Lovely designed book cashing in on the Mantra trend (it is written by a lady who makes well-known mantra bracelets). Each word set is given the reasoning behind it and a philosophical activity. Wasn't very helpful for me but would be awesome for those who mantras are their thing
I received an ARC from the publisher; all opinions are my own.
The epub version was rather difficult to enjoy but I can tell this would be a very inspiring and useful paperback. The art work is lovely and I liked the explanations that accompanied the mantras. A solid 4 stars, I did not deduct a star for the format of the text I read. Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for the digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was a nice, short book with lots of ideas for mantras. I really enjoyed that each mantra came with an idea for a mantra action to put it into practice. Most of the mantras were common sayings, and I enjoyed this more mindful look into them.
A peaceful simplistic book that covers short mantras combined with explanations. The stock photos do not add anything to the value of the book, but rather make it look cheap. Illustrations would have been better to be used as a replacement. The book underwhelmed me in every way.

Liked it, didn't love it, if only because I read a lot of inspirational books & like to discover something new in each one. The collection and organization of mantras is sure to please beginners in this genre. It is, though, a nice choice for when you're stuck in a moment and need a boost. These mantras fill the bill.
Find Your Mantra is an excellent little book with 75 of Aysel Gunar's, the maker of a famous mantra braclet company, most requested and cherished mantras. Each mantra is accompanied by a mantra action, something you can do to embody the spirit of the sentiment. This is followed by the mantra benefit, what you can expect to feel or gain by using the specific mantra in your everyday life. Many of the mantras in this book called to me. There is a mantra here for every situation in life. Ultimately the use of mantras gives us more gratitude and appreciation for the life around us including our own selves. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is curious about, or in search of the perfect mantra.
This book will help you if you are beginning with mantras. Each mantra is followed by a brief explanation and a passage on what to expect. I liked how mantras are divided into categories. You can search a specific one, get a "random" one, or just work on them in order. Whaterver you choose, I think you'll find it useful.
This book is a beauty reminder to be kind to yourself. It’s full of statements and mantras for any situation to encourage your mindset to support and nourish you. I thought it was a beautiful little book and would make a lovely gift.
Find Your Mantra was a very calming read. The messages were helpful and forced one to think. I especially liked the reminder that "worry just makes one suffer twice". The book provides lots of little tidbits as to how to live the life you want to by using meditation and affirming thoughts
This was a visually pleasing, pleasant, and at times quite inspiring read. A perfect book to start the new year off with. Not every chapter/story is stirring, and not a lot is exactly groundbreaking, but I truly enjoyed this.
