Not Her Alpha

Rate this book
Chris Jenkins, alpha werewolf, wants the woman who destroyed his life dead. When he finds her, instead of facing a criminal mastermind, he discovers her imprisoned and beaten by her own family. A victim. So, he rescues her. To make things worse, her soul is bound to a grimoire of black magic and he volunteers his pack to protect the book from falling into the wrong hands. Now, the woman he fantasized killing has to live with him. It’s the only way to keep his city safe.

Really.

Jade Ellington dreams of finding her Prince Charming, then the big bad wolf blows her jail door down. In that moment, she changes her mind. Chris is everything a woman could want. Sexy and strong, and did she mention he can cook? But she’s responsible for all his heartache and she’s nothing to him but a burden. How can she compete with the beautiful shifter women who surround him? Like all the time.

Then a thief invades the pack den and steals her grimoire. The one holding her soul hostage. The one Chris swore to keep safe. Without the book, she’ll die in days. It’s a race against time, sexual frustration, and dragons.

I NEVER saw that coming!

First of all, this whole series is just a blast to read. Annie has this unique writing style that combines intense action, mystery, quest-like adventures and humor. Oh and smoking-hot love. Can't forget to mention that!

I met Jade in a previous book and hated her. But, it turns out, that I simply didn't really know her. Now knowing her better, I very much like her. Her humility and teasing humor made her very likable, in my opinion.

Again, thanks to a previous book, I didn't like Chris very much, either. But, boy, I sure did like him by the end. His is the ultimate redemption story, and I REALLY enjoyed reading it!

(No spoilers in this review)

My favorite part of this book was towards the end...and I don't mean that in a bad "I couldn't wait for this book to end" kind of way. Chris did something that was COMPLETELY unexpected (and BRILLIANT on Annie's part for coming up with the idea). Like, I thought I knew what would happen, but I was dead wrong. And it was so exciting! I LOVE when I get surprised! Seriously, if you like shifter romances, this will just knock your socks off.

This series needs lotsa more books. I can't wait to read them all!!!

This Not This story is quite spirited with lots of suspense and excitement. Chris and Jade are bold, strong characters that demand the readers’ attentions throughout their story. The romance is charming and sweet but the relationship has quite a few obstacles such as responsibility, non-communication and somebody has stolen the one thing he needs to keep Jade safe, which sends them on an adventure into enemy territory.

This fast paced story is animated and full of thrilling suspense, witty dialogue, sexual frustration, wonderfully eccentric and different characters and powerful magic. Racing against time is hard enough, but when invading another Alpha’s territory, a dragon’s territory and going up against a gargoyle who has been charged with protecting an determined witch, things get really interesting, snarky and energetic which keeps readers glued to the pages even while they are bouncing in their seats cheering this couple through their adventure and toward their happily ever after.

This series is awesome and impossible to put down! We get glimpses into past characters’ lives to check in and see how they’re doing while meeting new characters.

In this book, Alpha Chris Jenkins has taken in dhampir Jade, who is tied to a grimoire of black magic that her former coven forced her to use and that formed a bond, draining her life slowly. As long as she is within the vicinity of the book, she will continue to live. Chris has vowed to protect Jade and the book from those who would wish to cause harm with it. But all heck breaks loose when the book is stolen while the pack is on a hunt and Jade’s life is in danger.

This book is nonstop addicting as Chris and Jade try to locate the book before her time runs out, falling for each other a little more each day and not ready to lose what is growing between them.

Annie Nicholas is like Midas with books. Everything she writes turns to gold and this series and book are no exception! Can’t wait to read the next installment of the series!!

This is the fifth book of the Not This series and it ties a few of the books together. Chris is Alpha of the Riverfront werewolf pack and wanted the dhampir who tattooed his high school sweetheart dead and the book of black magic destroyed. Then he finds Jade imprisoned by her vampire nest and forced to use the book which has become bound to her. He volunteers to guard the book and keep Jade safe but the book was stolen and now Jade is dying. He and Jade must sift through the suspects and travel to New Port despite his not having permission from their pack Alpha. And through it all, Chris and Jade must decide what they have together.

This was a great read that does have a happy ending. I would like to see the series continue.

Author Annie Nicholas does it again with her 5th installation of her “Not This Series“!
“Not Her Alpha” is an absolutely fun journey through Riverbend and New Port.
Alpha, Chris Jenkins has his hands full with not only his Pack, but with Dhampire Jade Ellington whose life force is entwined with a Black Magic Grimoire.
These characters are full of hilarity and feistiness! I had such a great time reading this one that I couldn’t put it down.
The edginess between some of the characters in these stories is just too funny.
If you haven’t read any of the books in this series, give them a try, I bet you will fall in love with them too!

Another great edition to this series. I enjoyed the romance of Jade and Chris, her a dhampir (a vampire human offspring) and him a alpha werewolf. The story begins with Jade, at the pack house of Riverbend she is there for protection, rescued from a vampire nest involved with black magic and a book,Chris rescued her and is protecting her. The romance builds slowly between them as they have a past history with problems that still need to be resolved now in the present. They go through a lot but achieve their HEA with no cliffhanger. I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing this.

This is a great series! What do you do when the grimoire you're supposed to keep safe is stolen and because of that the Jade is on borrowed time because her soul is attached to it? Well you work like mad to find it so you can save her. Wolves, vamps, witches and gargoyles make up the characters in this story that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end! A book that you can't help but enjoy because humor and sexual tension is the best!

I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M SAYING THIS, BUT I LOVED NOT HER ALPHA!!!
Title: Not Her Alpha
Series: Not This
Author: Annie Nicholas
Designation: Book 6, Full-Length, *Can Be Read As Standalone, Paranormal Romance, NO Cliffhanger
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: Five Delightfully Entertaining Stars*****
*Although the author gives ample backstory, this reviewer strongly recommends reading the books of the series sequentially for maximum enjoyment and to avoid possible spoilers.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I loved, loved, loved Not Her Alpha, the sixth outrageously cute release in the Not This Series by Annie Nicholas! Yup, it's true; I really cannot believe I enjoyed it - but I did. Please allow me to explain. I'm a huge Annie Nicholas fan and usually one-click everything she releases. I think I own every single book she's ever published, and this series is one of my all-time favorites, yet I almost didn't purchase this book. Why? Because I disliked the hero. Actually, dislike doesn't even begin to describe how I felt about Chris Jenkins. I literally hated the guy. For anyone following the series, you may remember Jenkins was originally introduced in the second book, Not His Werewolf, as the Alpha of the Riverbend Pack. This dude was such a total jerk. I won't go into details or give any spoilers in case someone hasn't read the other books, but let's just say we didn't know the whole story - until now. I thought it would be impossible to make Chris Jenkins likable, and certainly not redeemable, but I'm a longtime fan, totally addicted to Nicholas' work, and just could not resist the temptation. Soooo, I put my trust in the author, one-clicked and dove in. Best decision ever! I don't mind admitting when I'm wrong (usually), but in this case, I was very wrong, because I LOVED Not Her Alpha and once again, Annie Nicholas didn't disappoint! I snickered, snorted, giggled, sniffled, and sobbed through the entire story but by the end, I was happy, satisfied and well entertained. Hey, don't judge; I'm a very emotional reader! lol... Not Her Alpha is a sexy, fast-paced, easy-to-follow, full-length, standalone paranormal tale filled to the brim with side-splitting humor, endearing characters, heartbreaking angst, dreamy romance and of course, a heartwarming happy ending. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with his and her perspectives. The dialogue is snappy, hilarious, well-executed, and flows effortlessly. No one appreciates a well-written story better than me, but no matter how great the technical components and execution, without a cast of great characters, it's all for naught. And that's what I adore about the work of Annie Nicholas, she delivers the whole package, time after time. Each time I open a Nicholas book, I'm always assured a satisfying read, and Not Her Alpha was no exception. Werewolf Alpha Chris Jenkins and Dhampir Jade Ellington were such an unlikely couple. Both had heartbreaking histories they were trying to overcome, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Sigh... So romantic and angsty! And their sexual chemistry was smokin' hot! These two lonely souls were so perfect for each other. Although the banter, bickering, and interaction between Chris and Jade were often laugh-out-loud funny, don't let all the humor fool you. Chris and Jade had a difficult journey to find their happy ending.

No spoilers from me but I will say this... A misunderstood Alpha werewolf with the weight of the world on his shoulders, including a lovely cursed dhampir to protect and a ragtag pack of werewolves to provide for-check! A beautiful, lonely dhampir (half human/half vampire) held prisoner by her past and a handsome alpha werewolf who can't admit his feelings but willing to risk everything to protect her-check! An evil grimoire that could cost Jade everything, including her life-check! Vampires, dhampires, dragons, werewolves, gargoyles, witches, and black magic-Check! Danger, heartache, and lots of angst-check! Humor, attraction, passion, steamy sex, and sweet romance-you bet! That and a whole lot more!

Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! I really, really did! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Not her Alpha
I fell in love with New Port and all of quirky shifters, vampires, witches and other assorted folks in the last four books. All wonderful stories, read them if you have not, they are wildly entertaining.
In a neighboring town, Riverbend, we have an Alpha wolf named Chris Jenkins. Chris’s life was ruined when the teen-aged crush he had on a packmate that could not change into her wolf was destroyed by a tattoo artist. This tattoo artist was using black or dark magic but did not know it. As a result, Chris was despondent and killed his old Alpha becoming an Alpha at a young age with no experience. Since then he has tried to enhance the pack and to take care of others.
Recently the tattoo artist, Jade, is recovered along with the Black Magic grimoire. After all this time with the grimoire she is dependent on the magic. She is staying with the pack and they are guarding the grimoire until they can decide the fate of one or both. The grimoire has powerful magic.
Jade is a dhampir and has been mistreated much of her life. Living with the pack is a totally different experience. Chris cares for his pack members and Jade. Who would not love a hunky man that can cook!
Jade is slow to trust, she has issues. There is no instant- love for she and Chris, it is more of a slow awakening for both. Can she love a wolf that will leave her the minute his fated mate is found?
The grimoire is stolen! Chris sees a dragon leaving the premises. Why would a dragon want the grimoire? Jade is getting weaker and weaker, she may die. Who is Cedric the Destroyer and what does he want?
Chris must travel into a neighboring town to retrieve the grimoire but has to request permission for the most powerful wolf Alpha, Ryota! This is NOT going to go over well. Then to make things worse, her must confront the dragons of New Port, Approach at your own risk they are nesting and hormonal.
Another delightful and suspenseful story. I love finding out about new characters! More stories to come.

This is my favorite book of the series so far! Many elements of prior volumes come into play in this episode, and a lot of things start to fall into place.

Jade is still a delightful character, the more we get to know her. And I was completely amazed at how very much I liked Chris; I hated him in Not Her Dragon. But, much as with his feelings toward Jade at the start of all this, we learn a lot more about him and how he thinks. He's really just a good guy trying to do the best he can be his pack and everyone else around him.

Watching these two grow closer together, then finally acknowledge and embrace their attraction, was darling. They definitely had a lot of issues to deal with, trying to recover the grimoire and save Jade's life, while dealing with various repucussions from that endeavor. Ultimately, things finally do turn in their favor, but not after much angst and a huge sacrifice.

Once again, we get to see various members of the shifter clan that we've met in prior editions. I did not like Betty this time around, and Beth is once again a trouble-maker who can't keep her mouth shut. But many of the other characters are a delight, and it's fun to catch-up with them.

I hope there are additional volumes in the series, because I am really enjoying these!

I received a free eBook copy of this title from the author, and have willingly provided an honest review.

Not Her Alpha is the fifth book in the Not This series and while the romance stands alone, this book might be best read in order due to some of the outside events. Jade is half human, half vampire, her soul is entwined with a dark grimoire, and she’s losing her heart to Chris, the werewolf alpha who’s tasked with keeping her safe. When the grimoire is stolen, Chris and Jade must go on an adventure to find the book and save Jade, but when love enters the mix, can a part vampire and werewolf alpha find a happy future?

I have just fallen in love with this series, these characters, and I loved Chris and Jade! There’s a whole lot that goes on in this book, but I love most of all that Chris and Jade has each other’s backs throughout their entire adventure! Jade carries the weight of her previous decisions on her shoulders, has so much guilt, but I loved that she tried to have a positive outlook, was able to smooth things over with Chris and the fellow supernatural beings, and just wanted to belong. Chris was an amazing alpha, taking care of his pack the best that he could, was willing to face angry alphas, and willing to sacrifice for Jade and their growing love. Together, they had fun, it wasn’t just about Chris being an alpha, and I loved their passion! This book is fast paced, with a lot that happens, and I loved reading through the different pack politics, the human relations, and the intricacies between the different shifters/vampire/paranormals. This is an amazing world that Ms. Nicholas has built and loved this addition to the series!

NOT HER ALPHA is the fifth book in the Not This series. They definitely should be read in the order of release. Every book has been un-put-downable!

Do not read this paragraph if you have not read the previous books: When I read NOT HIS WEREWOLF, I saw the title for this one and thought Ryota was going to find his mate (since he lost out on Angie to Eoin). Instead, Chris, who is the alpha of the Riverbend Wolves, who tried to save Betty when Ken’s claiming puts her in danger (NOT HIS WEREWOLF), is the Alpha in the title. My disappointment was short-lived, because I fell in love with Chris and Jade!

The characters – main and secondary – are all strongly written with complete personalities. It makes me want to read all of their stories.

The romance between Chris and Jade builds slowly, but believably. I loved walking… no, racing with them towards the grimoire and their HEA. Speaking of their HEA, Chris proved his love in such a sigh-worthy way that makes me want a werewolf just like him!

I look forward to where we will go next in this series and who may next get their HEA.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Give me an alpha like Chris!

Wow!!!! This book was so fun to read, hard to put down, exciting funny and with some raw emotions. I have always loved this series but this book? Definitely my favorite in the bunch.

Character breakdown;

Chris: I didn't think I like the alpha much in the second book he came off as a jerk. But he most definitely struck me as a wounded man, and apparently I was right. I loved his overprotectiveness over Jade and his stubborn ways.

Jade: oh she was a funny one I adored her so much! I loved that she was given too much sass and a spitfire tongue. She was definitely the perfect match for Chris.

Favorite quote: He grabbed her by the shoulders. “You are everything. No soulmate could exist that would understand me the way you do. Treat me the way you do. Shifters see me as an alpha and so would that potential soulmate. You, on the other hand, see Chris. I can’t live without that.”

I thoroughly enjoyed this book much more than the others and that's saying a lot. I loved what Chris was willing to give up for Jade and I loved that Jade protected him like he did her. Also Viktor was creepy funny, and what is the story between Armand and Chris's aunt? We going to hear about that? Lol. Also thank you for the book loving and book sharing alpha now I want one! Lol.

You know you have an amazing time ahead with Not Her Alpha
This is the 5 book in the series so you already know what a fun time you're gonna have reading this book.
Jade is addicted to that evil book that has her soul but Alpha Chris is having none of it. He's prepared to help wean her off the book's influence, no matter what it takes he'll get her out of it's clutches.
Then the unthinkable happens and the grimoire has been stolen, right out from under the Alphas bed, wait what, bed? Yep that's where he's kept it - like it's his diary or something 😆. I suppose who's gonna go into the pack's Den? Never mind go into the Alphas room without express permission and in triplicate? Well someone didn't get the memo that this is the dumbest thing you're ever gonna do, and probably the last thing too.
Now Alpha Chris will do anything to get the book back as it's sucking Jade's lifeforce faster than she can sustain and he's not gonna let her die. Now if only he could figure out why he feels so strongly then things would be OK. Add in a jealous Beta or two, a few dragons, several witches and a whole lot of Alphas and their posturing and you've got little Jade the dhamphire dieing before their eyes and no one knows who the heck took the grimoire - but everyone determined to save her, after all she's special to soo many people - but can they do it in time? And at what cost?
Amazing characters that have a fabulous story to tell. Get comfy, ignore the world and just enjoy the ride - this times its on the back of a werewolf - ooh my has it gotten hot in here? 😍

A stolen grimoire.

This is a very cute series. I love how characters from earlier books keep popping up. Poor Jade is dying because of the drain that the evil grimoire is putting on her. Chris, the Alpha of the Riverbend Pack, has found that he is being drawn to Jade. From the first, when he rescued her, he recognised the goodness in her despite the fact that she had been involved with black magic. The fact was that she had been forced to perform those spells while all the time having her energy pulled from her. Now the grimoire has been stolen andnthe further away it gets from Jade the weaker she gets. Chris and his pack immediately start searching for the perpetrators and their search leads to New Port home of the dragon shifters, Eoin and Angie, who were the stars of the first book in the series.
Jade knows that her feelings for Chris are growing stronger while Chris has shut himself away from his feelings for so long that he doesn’t realise how much Jade is coming to mean to him.
Their journey tracking down the grimoire is becoming a journey into understanding their feelings for each other. A very nice read.

I absolutely loved this book. Jade and Chris were so cute together. They seemed to be a really good fit for one another. And I also liked that since they weren’t the same species that there wasn’t technically an Insta love - or more accurately a mated insta love. She’d had a crush on him from the moment he recused her and he slowly developed feeling for her that he didn’t even realise til the events of the book.
I also quite enjoyed the storyline as well. It was a lot less about working though shifting problems - which were very key in pretty much all the other books.
I also like that you sore a lot of characters we’ve met before as they journey to find the the black magic book that has bonded itself to Jade. The journey itself was also very entertaining and fairly long too - even though it only really took place over like two nights. Lots happen in a small amount of time.
Overall a really good book that I highly recommend. And while it is technically a stand alone I would read in order cos it makes more sense and you have less to figure out.

Dhampir saved and alpha redeemed

Annie Nicholas' Not This series is a hoot and a half. In Not Her Alpha we are treated to the stories of Jade, the Dhampir addicted to a black magic grimoire, and Chris Jenkins, struggling young alpha of his werewolf pack. Both have been introduced in previous books, and neither one was painted in a very positive light. But Annie Nicholas has a heart for the underdog, and in this book we get to see the other side of Jade's affinity for black magic, and the caring loyalty of ruthless alpha Chris. Plus we get a fine, sexy inter-supernatural-species romance, an action-filled race against time to save Jade and bind the evil grimoire, and a catch-up cameo with several old friends from previous books. All with the trademark Annie Nicholas whimsy and deadpan humor. It's not really a standalone, but trust me, reading the Not This series in order is no hardship!

Cute

Cute, quick read. Couple of little spicy scenes. Cute plot. I haven't read the other books, I thought it was completely stand alone, but, you probably get more giggles knowing the back stories of the many characters from the previous books. One doesn't HAVE to read them first, but it's probably best.

I'm not sure If the typos/grammatical errors are Kindle only problems, but there were enough for me to find it a little ridiculous. I mean, if I'd get deducted on a paper for it, I expect not to find it in a professional publication. A. I truly hope these error were created in converting to kindle and not made by the author B. Shouldn't an editor catch basic grammar errors?

Errors happen, but this book simply had too many for a published author and/or a professional publication. It grated on my nerves enough to make me hesitant to check out other works by this author.

I have been fascinated by alpha Chris since we first met him, and I feel like I’ve been waiting forever to see where the story takes him and Jade. I was not, however, expecting the story to take them on this particular ride. After witnessing the gargoyle shenanigans, I hadn’t even considered what the repercussions of taking the book would be. I’m so glad to see that the author did – it resulted in this amazing story. Chris and Jade are complex characters with heaps of emotional baggage they’re carrying around. The process of the pair of them dealing with some of that baggage and locating the grimoire left me in tears more than once. And the solution to all their problems? It’s deceptively brilliant. I can’t wait to read what comes next for the supernaturals of Riverbend and New Port.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.

Chris Jenkins thought that when he found the female who had been involved in all the troubles his pack and family had faced that he would easily take his revenge. But when he found Jade, a Dhampir, she was shackled, malnourished, beaten and abused by those who should have looked after her.

Jade is now in the care of Chris's pack but she feels that she is constantly being watched. They are just waiting for her to show her pointy teeth and evil ways again. They don't understand that she is tied to the damn Grimoire and when she gets too far from it or doesn't even touch it for lengthy periods, she gets ill.

But when all manner of madness breaks out Chris and Jade need to work together to track down the bad guy. They even have to form an uneasy alliance with a neighbouring towns pack...ooh and a self-absorbed dragon!

Great read with snarky humour and a great storyline.

Fascinating, funny, and sexy characters discovering that their preconceived notions of what they may have wanted in a mate, isn't always the person they will fall in love, and for whom they will make any sacrifice. Jade was jailed by her family until Chris rescued her and then moved her into his packs home. He promised to keep her grimoire from falling into the wrong hands. Chris was determined to end the life of the the woman responsible for destroying his relationship, instead he rescued her. They will race against time to find the grimoire and the thief who has stolen it, before the evil magic in the book drains Jade's soul and kills her.
Exciting, action packed and sometimes suspenseful plot. Fantastic happily ever after paranormal romance, I loved it!

I am leaving an honest and nonincentivized review of this ARC.

Didn’t fail to reach it’s mark

Not her Alpha by Annie Nicholas was just as great a read as the rest of the series. In this book we meet Chris the Riverbend Alpha and Jade the Dhampir who have a blossoming relationship that is happening without either one really realising what is happening. I love how it back tracks to just before the end of Not his Gargoyle. The book really is fast paced as in the timeline is only a few days but what blossoms between the characters has been happening since before the book started this picks up their story and that lightbulb stage of their romance. I love how the book ended and I’m looking forward to the next book when Eion and Angie should have their baby. I’m hoping that Royta will get a story of his own also. Overall a great read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I was a little bit disappointed not on the book itself, but because at the beginning I was sure that this was the Ryota's book so, in a way, I felt cheated and I am still waiting for my favorite Alpha to have his book. Still maybe he will never have as he has one older son who has his book already, but I cannot stop hoping.

THANKS ANNIE NICHOLAS FOR THE ARC!!!

Humour and nocturne romance. Annie brings out the humanity in her species, from human to werewolf.
I found the book fast paced and it picks up from scenes in Not Her Gargoyle, so it's definitely not a stand alone read. I love how the character stories entwine and give the characters flaws, appealing to their morales.

The characters are strong, from main to supporting characters, though there were a few times I wanted to say Chris was being a douchecanoe to Jade, even though the chemistry was there from the start!

A real page turner, hard to put down. When you do, it's like watching your favourite television show, highly anticipating what's going to happen next!

I can't wait for the next installment!

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Not Her Alpha by Annie Nicholas is book 5 in the Not This series. This delightful addition to the series gives us Chris and Jade's story. In typical Annie Nicholas fashion, you'll be hooked from page one. I just love New Port and all the crazy characters that live there. It's hard not to laugh out loud, so be warned. This quick read is the perfect book to cuddle up with on an uninterrupted weekend morning. With sexy shifters, scary but loveable dragons, witches and gargoyles to name a few, there's lots of fun to be had here. This is a Mature Readers Only read. While these books can be read stand alone, you'll really get the most enjoyment if you read them in series order. Worth the read, I promise!

This is an honest and voluntary review of an advance copy.

Great Book

I loved the story and characters in this book. I also like the way the author subtly reminds the reader of the history in prior books leading up to this storyline. It was done seamlessly and in small doses so as not to take a big chunk of the book. It just flowed well. I have read the whole series but it helped to remind me of how the characters got where they are. The storyline was a desperate search for the cure to what ails the heroine. I liked how she starts as an almost skeleton waif in the background of the den, and emerges as woman of courage and backbone. I also really loved the peripheral characters, particularly Cedric and Ryota. I hope they get their own stories.

This story was emotional, heartwarming, and a wonderful adventure. The two main characters, Chris and Jade, are definitely opposites attract. Glad they finally realized they belong together and that they bring out each others strengths to the Riverbend pack.

Chris is the alpha of his wolf pack and Jade is a dhamphir , half human and half vampire, who don't realize there is something between them. Then her grimoire gets taken and they go on an adventure to get it back. Loved how the story flowed and couldn't put it down.

Can't wait to see if Annie has a story for Cedric, Ryota, and Chris' beta Ryan.

This story is awesome, it is just so heartwarming and emotional. I loved it from start to finish. Chris is an amazing character, he rescues Jade. Jade has such a deep and wonderful personality, keeping her soul even with using the blackgrimoire. Their romance is fabulous. When I started the story, I just had to finish, I couldn’t put it down. Wow ! Words fail me with this story. The rest of the series is fabulous and the books just keep getting better. It can be read as a stand-alone but it is well worth reading the previous stories to get a feel for the background and characters.

Jade is stuck with her burden and living with a bunch of werewolves. Granted she thinks the alpha is sexy... and annoying, but she’s still a prisoner.

This story shows exactly what happens when you only hear one side of a story. In the world of Ken and Betty the evil is Chris and Jade. And honestly that’s how I felt, that they were the “bad” guys. But reading this and hearing their side of things it shows they’re not the people seen originally. They were amazing to read about and I loved hearing their story.

Another fantastic addition to this series.
