After a disappointing row with his Uncle Sally where he discovers that he won’t be learning great wizardry, Hex endeavors to head home and resume his battle, alone if he has to. Too bad an invisible barrier prevents him from leaving and he’s forced to embrace some beach vibes, his lazy Uncle, and some killer waves.

Hex gets a little more comfortable settling in at the beach (not by choice.) And we also meet the girl who will probably turn into his love interest. Nothing really happens and the story doesn’t really advance in this issue.
I do see potential, but there’s so much happening. It’s a good premise for a story and could potentially be a great comic, but there’s so much /noise/ that I would much prefer this as an animated TV show. The panels are hard to follow even when nothing is happening.
