Heather and her friends and family, thanks to Chief Chet, will be celebrating New Year's Eve just like New York celebrates. The chief and the town plan to have a huge celebration on the beach with a big New Year's Eve Ball traveling down a rod just like in New York. The Mayor asked the Chief to make sure the celebration goes perfectly; translation, no murders please, so the Chief deputies Heather and Amy to help him watch the beach scene. Unfortunately, a murder happens before the big event. The man who was in charge of the ball was found on the beach with the ball on top of him. Who would want to kill the man and ruin the festivities for the whole town?

Key West is gearing up for New Years with
people deciding on resolution, Heather’s new
donut: the a Champagne Mousse Donut and
the mayor is planning a ball drop on the beach.
Heather & Amy are going to be deputized to
help with the security.
Chief Chet takes them down to the beach site
where the ball will be dropped. What they find
is the dead body of the handyman doing the
construction. His head had been crushed by the
ball.
The mayor is in an uproar; Chief Chet is a nervous
wreck. There are very few clues.
Heather and crew must work hard to find the
murderer so the New Year’s Eve festivity can
take place.
This is book # 62 in the Oceanside Cozy Mysteries
series. It can be read as a stand alone.

Everyone is trying to decide on New Year’s resolutions, hoping to get it just right. While working with the Chief of Police, the ladies come across another body. I enjoyed seeing a little more of the Chief in this story. Can’t wait for the next book.

Chief Chet deputizes Heather and Amy so they can help with the New Year celebration. Key West is going to drop a ball at midnight. The mayor decided to add this to the New Year's Eve party. The chief takes Heather and Amy to the area where this will take place. While looking the area over they come across a dead body. It's the handyman who was building the ball. Who would want to kill him and why? Does it have something to do with the ball dropping? Or the party? Or is it something personal? Heather wants this case solved before New Year's Eve. That gives them 3 days. Will they suceed?
Heather is worried about Nicholas as he seems to have something weighing on his mind. What could have upset him?
Come along with Heather and Amy as they work on this case.

Great series..............
I enjoyed the authors story of the case, the characters in this story of adventure, suspense, and mystery, were interesting to watch solve the murder. I was surprised by the sol.
