This is a revised and lengthened version of the previously published Protecting Faith.
Original review: An excellent addition to Susan Stoker's Kindle World, Protecting Faith was everything I'd want and more. Love, friendship, suspense and a twist in the tale. The story is well written and has sparks of humour. The main characters are believable, the plot is well thought out.
I have read the previous, shorter version of this book and I enjoyed this expanded version, there is more depth to the story, something the Kindle World novellas didn’t allow for.
Ms. St James has a talent for creating a suspenseful plot with added notes of humour, and her ability to keep the main characters in the foreground she had given the secondary characters their own voice which elevates the story to another level.
I highly recommend A Soldier’s Protection, if you are new to the Eagle Security & Protection: Beyond Valour series, but moreover, if you have read Protecting Faith as it was a joy to revisit this second chance romance with some of my favourite characters.

Chase is a retired SEAL running a security firm in Florida. When business takes him to San Diego, he goes to Coronado to face his past. What he didn't expect was the find the only woman he's ever loved Faith being threatened by a stalker. She's surprised to see him and shocked when he says he's still in love with her. They met when she was his psychologist while still on the Teams and when admitted having feelings for her she transferred him to another psychologist. Chase stays to help catch her stalker and hopefully rekindle their romance. Her stalker is closer and more cunning than they realize. Chase risks his own life to save her.

The story was originally published in Amazon’s Kindle World and was titled “Protecting Faith”. It is a really good story and I am glad to see that it has been republished. Chase left to make a new life in Florida after his team had been killed. Faith had been his doctor so she sent him away and ignored the feelings she had for him. Now he has returned to San Diego and finds that Faith is in danger from a stalker. Protecting her brings them closer together. Nearly dying makes them realize life is too short to spend any more of it apart.

A intense thriller filled with action and suspense. Chase, an ex-seal, is the owner of Eagle Security. While travelling to meet an old Team mate, he encounters a woman who rejected him several years ago. When he finds that she might have a stalker, he jumps at the chance to protect her and stop the threats . As the threats escalate, he and his Team do everything possible to identify the stalker to keep her safe. A very captivating read with a surprise ending.

I received an ARC of this book on the condition I give an honest review. This was an awesome book. It is a second chance romance featuring a psychologist and a former SEAL. A twist of fate brings our hero and heroine together after 2 years apart. There is romance, intrigue any mystery. Add in more twists than a pretzel and you have quite a read! Get this book ASAP. You won't be sorry. No spoilers given

A few instances of careless editing but a good story. Chase is the founder of ESP, and has made his way back from the trauma of losing most of his SEAL team. The therapist who helped him was "the one" and he had never forgotten her.
He meets her again in San Diego and finds that she is being harassed and threatened by a stalker. The person is a dangerous psychopath but the SEALS are enough to defeat him.

This book had my heart pumping from the beginning to the end! I love the strong main characters. I also love the connection that seals have with each other for life. They are family and will do " anything" to protect someone. When they find their other half, their training in control and endurance are always put to the test.. The storyline in this book will not let you put the book down until the end.. Great read that I def. recommend to everyone !! Another hit for this author!

Wow this book has it all. Second chance at love , drama , suspense , sexy hot Seals and strong amazing women. Loved this story.. I found myself so enthralled Characters and story I was almost late for work.

Great series
I am really enjoying these loosely interconnected series of stories. It is good to learn about Chase’s background and how he met the love of his life Faith. I would love to learn more about burlesque dancing, maybe Faith could teach some of the other women in Willow Haven ?

Oh my, I would so love to have a guy like Chase (aka Frost) care about me as he does Faith. I won't give away any spoilers, but this book is hot in more ways than one. Loved, loved, loved it. This series just gets better with each new added story.

This story had it all for me. Second chance at love between Chase & Faith, while trying to find and protect Faith's stalker these two have a chance to reconnect and fall in love all over again. Suspenseful, enjoyable, intense, great characters . A must read!

I'm so glad this book was re-released . I love the story about the sexy hot soldier chase who came back to town to discover the girl he loves and find out faith needs him and they fall in love all over again.

Great!!!
I loved this book. Everything that should be in a great book is right here. It has great characters. A quick read. A “Who done it” plot with a lunatic stalker. Plenty of action. Very little sexual content. Riveting. I stayed up all night reading. I couldn’t put it down or go to sleep.

What a 2nd chance romance filled so many emotions and a stalker who won’t give up. Grab this on the edge of your seat, suspenseful journey between Chase and Faith to see if he can get to her in time or loses it all! Loved it!!!

Read this book when the first edition was released.
PTSD is rough. For Chase, PTSD and survivor’s guilt was made it even worse. When Faith tried to help him, love got in the way. Conflict of interest kept them apart to a point. It just wasn’t the right time for Chase and Faith for them to have their HEA.
Now that Chase is back in town and Faith is in trouble, Chase sees this as his second chance at love. I loved that he never stopped loving Faith. He knew her like the back of his hand and saves her from herself as well as the threat against her.
