I met the love of my life when I was in my early twenties. She stood by my side no matter what I was going through and supported me. Ma was a beacon of strength when I felt I was at my weakest moment and pulled me through when I didn’t know what was next. I thought I had forever with her; that we’d grow old and have so much longer than what we had. My life ended the day that she was taken from me. From everyone that met her and loved the woman that she was.
Alice was a woman that knew my pain. She could see it on my face and knew what I was going through after the loss that shattered my entire world. No one would ever take the place of the woman that owned my heart. But, I know that Ma would want me to be happy and have someone in my life. I may not ever be able to give her my heart but I know that she’s the only one that would be able to make me feel even a fraction of what Ma made me feel for so many years.

OMG...…………………………...FANFECKINGTASTIC.
I absolutely loved every single word that was written within the pages of this book.
I was pulled right into this story from the beginning and stayed there until the end, all the while watching it play out in my head like a mini movie.
I don't like giving anything away as to the plot of the book or anything like that, but what I will say is although this is a Wild Kings MC book it is totally different to any of the others as it is all about Pops.
There are some surprises in this story, some are big some are small, some you will see coming and others you won't, some will really pull on your heart strings, but they all aide in making the book the awesome read that it is.
A little word of warning if you are anything like me make sure you have the tissues handy when you read this book, cos I sobbed, and sobbed and sobbed some more. The emotions that the characters in this book go through, some of them really got to me, I felt as though I was that character.
I have another confession now, Skylar's Savior was always my number one book through all the books that have been written in both Wild Kings series and I didn't think anything would knock it off that spot, but Pops has done it, this is my number one book but Skylar's is a very close second.
Erin Osborne has penned one heck of a story with this book and she has poured her heart and soul into it. I for one am so pleased that she did this book.
I highly recommend this book, but if you haven't read any of the others please read the books in order, it will give you a better understanding of how the MC is run and who the characters are and what their roll is within the MC.
Erin Osborne is one of my top 5 MC authors and her Wild Kings MC series both of them are in my top 5 MC series.

It wasn't for me. It's a great love story, pa and ma, but ma dies, and although he finds someone to move on with, he tells her he can never give her his heart, and she says the same, so... I guess they are together so they won't be alone, and have someone to have sex with? If they can't give their hearts, or even part of their hearts, why be together?

Ok I hate this, I hate like hell giving negative reviews or listing everything that's wrong with a book as I don't want the author to feel bad or get upset. However with that being said I gotta go on my age rant again with this series....Pops & Ma met when they were 18, unfortunately Pops had the ship out the next day so he didn't get calling Ma back like he said he would. Luckily 3 yrs. later he ran into her again at the same spot as before, thus began their relationship. At 25 they got married, they were married for I think it was like 2 wks or something when he got injured while on a mission overseas. Due to his injury he was discharged along with his best friend Jeremy (Grim's dad & it turns out Ma's best friend is Grim's mom who had him then took off). Next we jump 6 YEARS (I write this in caps for a reason guys' which I'll say in a minute) they are now 31 and have been married for 6 YEARS, we find out they have a son Levi and that Jeremy & Gertie (Ma's bf) had a son as well whose a few months older than Levi and this is Logan (again here's a major age discrepancy seeing as in Skylar's book Levi was only 27 & Logan/Grim would've been approx. 30) Ma is pregnant with Bailey at this time. Now I let you all in on the caps situation when Ma goes into labor she calls Pa and tells him Ace (Jeremy) needs to come and watch the boys cause she can't leave 2 9 YEAR olds home alone, you read that right, supposedly the boys are BOTH 9 yrs old yet they've only been married for again 6 YEARS!!! How the hell is Levi 9 already??!! Nevermind the fact that when everything went down in Blade's book Caydence was 26, I can even say she was going on 27 maybe and Bailey would've been approx. 25 since Pops was 31 when she was born and he's 56 in that book. So that's a 2yr age difference between them which I can get behind, that's fine what's NOT fine is as I said in the review for Irish's book during the Past chapters it has him, Caydence, Levi, Dec, Logan & BAILEY all graduating high school together...it just makes no sense. Everything is all over the damn place!! I was gonna go with the fact that maybe we'll have the 2 yrs. age difference between Bailey and the rest of the guys', cause I doubt Ma & Pa had Levi so soon after Pa was hurt, he would've needed to recover, they would've needed to find a place to live etc. so I'll hazard a guess and say she probably got pregnant when she was 27-28 so I can see him being around 3 yrs older than Bailey, and if you wanna make Grim the same age as Levi then fine we'll ignore the 9 yr age difference that was stated in their book and say he's 3 yrs older than her. If we do this then everything from Irish's book would kinda make sense except for the part about Bailey unless she graduated 3 yrs. early, lol But then we also have to ignore the ages that was stated for Levi & Dec in that first book and instead make them maybe 23 (?) as Bailey was 19 going on 20 when they moved and she ran into Skylar (Pops was 50 when they moved). Personally I think if you wanna include ages of characters in a series then you gotta keep better track of who is what age and when otherwise it throws the whole story outta wack, cause you read something and you're like "huh, how is that possible, when just a year ago they were ___??" I just found myself getting frustrated with the all over the place. Anyway that's my rant AGAIN about the bloody ages being a mess, lol Other than that the book was ok, I would've preferred to have it be entirely about Ma & Pops or to even get more from Ma's POV but then I also would've completely changed some of the things that happened in Blade's book and then we could've had this all about them but that's just me.

3.5

I was excited for this book. The story between Pops and Ma was of course great! Alice and Pops was short with hardly any chemistry. I really wanted to read about how he fell in love after tragedy. But, he didn’t, not really. He was very plain he would only ever care for her. The man is only 56, he’s still young enough to have a hot relationship. But they were both willing to settle for comfortable. His focus was still on his dead wife. I get some of that. But sad the author decided that neither character deserved two great loves... because it’s possible.

What a beautiful, beautiful story.

I have been waiting for a Ma and Pops story since Skylar's book. Let me say Erin you did not disappoint. I could feel the love float from the pages as I read this short story. I blinked back tears more than a few times with the heartache that they all felt. I love how we get to hear just what Pops, Alice , and the kids did that day at the pond. Oh and that epilogue tissues will be required.

Ok

This book was just ok for me. If you have read the previous books in the series, you already knew that Pops had lost Me and was devastated by this. Now he has a second chance at happiness. It was great that he found someone that he cared for and wanted a life with, but to say that I don't know that he could ever love her. That really took away from the story. I was really disappointed in this book.

Happy tears

I loved every minute of this series. I feel like a part of my family is leaving. These characters have made me happy, sad, angry, hopeless, and hopeful. I hope a second generation series will happen. The kids we were introduced to in this series were so easy to fall in love with. The tight-knit nature of this extended family would lend itself to some great stories. Thanks for the happy tears.

Pops and Alice

What a very sweet and emotional at times story. I love that both Pops and Alice are able to move on some with their lives after they both lost their beloved Ma/Alana and Henry. The bench that the club had made and put at Ma's grave was a beautiful moment and also with Pops and Alice sharing memories of Ma to the younger kids. Looking forward to reading more stories by this author. Happy reading.

Beautiful

I can't say much but wow. Pop's story is amazing. I was waiting for this one, the beginning. absolutely beautiful. The story, the love, the memories. Reminds me to remember those we have lost with a smile and to remember the love and laughter than to dwell on the pain and heartache. Just love.

A chronological story of a true love that never dies. This is the story of Pops and Ma and how after death, life goes on.
I wasn't sure about it really, it didn't tug at my heartstrings but it did make me think.

not sure what to think about this book.... I love the back story of Pop and Ma, and then the beginning of Pop with Alice. In some ways its too short on the Present side of the book and yet I did feel the emotions of the losses and how hard it is to start again.

Pops lost his first true love way to soon, but Alice shows that she can fill the part of the whole he is missing. Definitely recommend this book, series and author.
