Jax: Iron Bandits MC

Rate this book
Jax is the last man on earth I want to marry. But he’s the only choice I have.
His brother told me long ago to go find Jax if anything bad happened.
He said Jax would help me.

But Keith failed to mention that Jax is an alcoholic son of a b*tch with a vicious addiction to one-night stands with trashy club girls.

He’s not fit to protect me.
And he’s sure as hell not fit to protect the baby in my arms.

But I’m desperate, and I have nowhere else to turn.
I need a fake husband and a man who can protect me from Keith’s killers.
So now I’m at the altar with this broken, pathetic wreck of a man.
Wearing his ink.
Bearing his ring.
All for my baby’s sake.

But Jax won’t be satisfied with marriage in name only.
He wants everything that comes with it, too.

So when we get home and he tells me to strip off my veil and hike up my wedding dress, I do what he says.
Anything to make this nightmare end faster.

But then something happened, something I never expected.
I started to fall for the bastard.

JAX is a full-length, standalone, super steamy, bad boy motorcycle club romance novel from bestselling author HEATHER WEST.

This suspenseful, action-packed MC romance is intended for mature audiences, due to violence, strong language, dark themes and elements, and explicit intimate scenes. The romance between the alpha male bad boy and the fiery woman he can't resist ends with a guaranteed happily ever after (HEA) ending, has absolutely NO CHEATING, and does NOT include a cliffhanger of any kind.

This contains the following tropes: fake marriage, single mother with baby, "diamond in the rough" hero, and revenge.

At the beginning, there is Jax. He's rough around the edges, Alpha male, and drunk out of his mind. That's how we're introduced to our MC hero. We meet Ellie in his office with a baby---specifically one that's related to him. Just not his baby. Jax is grumpy, very male in his needs, and really grumpy. After his week long bender, he's a bit groupy that work is getting in the way. However, you begin to understand that responsibility isn't really a strong suit for him. The book is fast paced and amusing when Jax, Peter, and Ellie are trying to make this family situation work. There was never a dull moment for Ellie and Jax. For whatever reason in the bookverse, this relationship works. There is drama with an ex, but the rest of the story is the struggle between our Alpha biker and Ellie, whom he shouldn't want. Great story!

I enjoyed this story- but I didn’t feel like the synopsis matched the story. I was expecting more of an A-hole, boozing, womanizer Jax. If he was that way- then we missed it when he and Ellie meet. Yeah- he was sort of a jerk, but nothing else once she enters the scene - from the very start of the story basically.

Also, Ellie... it’s never mentioned that she said Keith, Jax’s brother, should be someone she should see if something goes wrong. Also- when did Keith have any enemies? We only know these two were friends who had sex once that produced Peter.

Anyway- besides all that, it was a good read. Brian was a weirdo that Jax and the MC needed to protect Ellie and Peter from. Though- I sometimes didn’t feel like Jax took their safety seriously. If he did, they would have had him, and some of the brothers, watching her constantly- instead of Jax trying to avoid her by staying away and hiding at the clubhouse. Sometimes an alarm system doesn’t always cut it.

Oh Jax, you are going to be married and you don’t even know it yet.....who is the lucky lady!!!! Ellie, plus she has a baby called Peter. Problem is, Peter is the son of Keith, Jax’s brother who has died. Now Ellie needs help from a crazy ex and Ellie needs to be married to claim an inheritance.
A brilliant story with lots of twists and turns, passion, romance, drama and so much more. Love how Jax and Ellie get to know one another and lots of drama with Peter. I even held my breath at times reading this. Loved it.

*WARNING* contains adult situations
Ellie has a baby with no daddy. Ellie was told who to go to if she ever needed help, and she needed help now.
Jax was extremely hung over when Grath came to his house tell him he needed to get to work. Jax was not ready for what was waiting in his office.
I thought this was a good story. I liked the whole thing with Brian, it was a good twist.
I have have it only three stars because I think the blurb is misleading making it sound as though Ellie is unwilling. The MC isn't really prominent in the story, they are only really mentioned as back up.

This wonderful, fascinating MC romance was absolutely amazing to read & it certainly kept my attention until the very end. The plot is well-thought out & written with excellent details. The characters are well-developed with unique personalities, and have a variety of traits and react with varying emotions to the situation they find themselves in.
There is: MC riders, a feisty woman (Ellie) with a baby to protect (Peter), a murdered one-night stand male friend (Keith), a bad boy MC rider & Keith’s brother (Jax), a vengeful psycho ex-boyfriend (Brian) twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, adventure, action, danger, an enemy, threats, violence, rudeness, doubts, sarcasm, attractions, verbal banter, memories, honesty, distrust, possessiveness, inheritance issues, compromises, agreements, anger, complications, emotional turmoil, confusion, dismay, fear, determination, rejection, dejection, declaration, vulnerability, love, happiness, some steam & a wonderful, satisfying ending.
I enjoyed this MC romance & would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre.

Cora sets out to find the brother of her friend. She is in trouble and Keith told her if anything happened to him to seek out Jax. Jax is a gruff manwhore and usually has women fall at his feet. The unexpected visit of this woman and her son changes his view of all that’s happened before.

Jax and El

Omg I just loved this book lots of love, action, laughter and both the H and h were amazing. I also liked Grath he was a hoot. It didn't so much get into the MC life like and in some books but they were there in support for El and Jax. Looking forward for more.
