This box set contains three books of First Time romance stories which include: The Mountain Man's Virgin, The Biker's Virgin, and The Rancher's Virgin. Below is a review of the first book to give you an idea of what you’ll find in this set.
*** Reviewing MOUNTAIN MAN’S VIRGIN *** Lucy McKennit, a college student studying biochemistry, smoothed down her dress with shaking hands, wondering if she would ever feel comfortable around the wealthy people as she tried to fit in as Lawrence’s girlfriend. The world of the rich seemed to have a language and vocabulary all their own. Watching how Hunter treated his girlfriend with no respect because she didn’t match their academic level made her uncomfortable, unable to figure why he was dating her if he felt that way. It seemed that both Lawrence and Hunter took pleasure in mocking the clueless young woman. After dinner, Lawrence had champagne brought to the table. He got on one knee and offered Lucy an engagement ring. He was very rich, popular, and everything she could want – so why was her brain screaming NO?
Mick Brady lives in the mountains because he recognizes that he is a sex addict and felt he was keeping society safer if he didn’t let himself be tempted. His only indulgence is his helicopter, which one of his companies manufactures, and he uses it to get back and forth to his office periodically. What started out as a kind of self-punishment was beginning to make him feel he was where he belonged. Mick called out for his dog, then put on snowshoes and went looking for him. Chopper had lost a back leg and the heavy snows were causing him more problems as he got older. But he heard rustling nearby and found Chopper under the porch. The two of them went to chop wood before the snow arrived.
Tania invited Lucy to a weekend bachelorette party for her in the mountains with two other girls. It was obvious that Avery and Tania had gone to college to find a husband, while Montana focused on earning her MBA to take over her dad’s publishing corporation one day. Lucy connected immediately with her. Despite the roads getting slippery with the heavily falling snow, Tania continued driving at 70 mph. With the next skid, Tania slammed on the brakes seeing an oncoming car, and their vehicle rolled off a small cliff face. When Lucy woke, she checked the others. Everyone was alive. But the snow was bad and she had to go for help. It was soon going to be dark. When she had to take a different path to get up the cliff, she suddenly realized she was lost.
Mick knew that Search and Rescue were trying to find the site of an accident. Sometime later, they radioed him that one of the victims left the car to get help. Mick and his dog took off in a snowmobile and tried to figure what way the person would go. Finally Chopper, who had helped in rescues before, started to bark and he found a body buried in snow. It was a woman and she might not survive. He took her back to his cabin and treated her hypothermia. She woke up fighting him and terrified, her odd dreams confusing her, the pain and burning in her feet a mystery to her. But his calm voice settled her. Lucy couldn’t help but make comparisons between this man and Lawrence. They were so completely different – and everything about this man, even his scent, was attractive to her. She trusted him.
Being stuck together at the cabin during the storm, the two of them grow closer. There was a wrongness to her engagement and she wants to break things off. Mick cares for Lucy in a way that is new for him and he needs to explore this. Will things sort out for the two of them? Will they realize that they only now found what they needed all along in each other? Or will the selfish rich boy make sure that he gets what he thinks is his, no matter what it takes?
I thought the writing of this book was excellent. The descriptions give the reader a vivid impression of the people, their activities, and the surrounding landscape that makes everything seem more true-to-life and believable. The characters, by their actions and motivations, provide a clear impression for the reader to understand the truth behind what is happening. It definitely makes it easier to understand Lucy’s confusion about why she feels the way she does about things. The book really catches the reader’s attention and the story line kept things moving at a good pace. I definitely recommend this book and the entire set.
I only read this story! I really like it but things kind of started slow w/the characters getting to know each other. But as we get deeper into the book things happened w/out any explanation or anything. For ex: Lucy’s fiancée only wants her to win a wager since she is virgin. So he takes her to his house she has never been in. Once she realizes Lawrence her fiancé only wants her virginity, she runs away from him & land on the front steps & guess who is there to defend her Michael. Things like that doesn’t make sense but overall I loved them together! ❤️
An amazing collection of 3 must have stand alone books each with their own HEAs. They are fast paced, enjoyable, include really hot sexy scenes, full of action and elements of suspense with lots of twists and turns and a satisfying resolution. The characters are likeable, well described with hot amazing chemistry. This engaging collection will have you addicted page after page.
Sorry but these 3 books are not for me. But say that doesn’t mean that you won’t like them. Everyone enjoys different reads. So it’s up to you. Thanks.
