Continuing to enjoy the Sun Valley Series set in a small resort town. The series is a bit unique in that there is not a singular character focus for each novel.

In Heartbeats, difficulties and successes continue for the three sisters: Leigh Ann, Karyn and Joie. They have very different personalities, but clearly love each other.

The ending sets up readers for some of what is to come in the third novel. I look forward to it!

This was a great addition to the Sun Valley Sisters series. There were a lot of complications in this second book and we get to know the sisters even better. I’m looking forward to the next book, Changes.

Heartaches

Wow, I can't get over how well you write about people and bring their stories to life. It's as though you know them personally. I've cried, laughed and bought the next book! I can't stop reading your books. Now, I tell everyone I know to read you. Found you by mistake, but so glad I did. I don't like to tell about the story because it may ruin it for someone. But, I feel so sad for Karen, happy for Joie, and I don't know how I feel for Leigh-Ann and Mark. Can't wait to start reading your next book to find out. Great read!

This story has a lot of Challenges,action,family,friends,relationships,strength and romance keeps you turning the pages until the very end looking forward to reading more books from this author. The Abbott sisters continue to face their different trials and tribulations. Big sister Leigh Ann feels everything is right in her world but nothing could be farther from the truth. Her husband, Mark's business ventures may cost them not only their financial independence but their friends, as well. Leigh Ann feels she is at her limit but a surprise visit from their son, Colby and his new bride, Nicole, throws her into a further tail spin. Karyn is feeling great about her life now that she has a new job and a handsome man by her side. Swearing to never give her heart away again after losing her husband, Dean, Karyn has fallen in love with Grayson and is looking forward to a future with him. It seems like Joie has finally stepped up to the plate after being offered a law partnership with Maddy Crane. Looking forward to the future, Joie feels as if she can finally put her past behind her and move towards the future. Author Kellie Coates Gilbert's Sun Valley Series touches on every emotion and continues to keep me wanting to read more. I cannot wait to read the third installment.

Makes me want to move to Sun Valley!

I loved this 2nd book in the series. All the twists and turns this family endures and still have fun with each other. Joie, Karen, and Lee Ann share a true sisterly bond. The author again draws you in right from the beginning and kept me wanting more. I can't wait to find out what happens and how they weather it all in book3!

Wonderful story!!!

I lived this book about three sisters, partly because I have two sisters, but unfortunately we’re not like Joie, Karyn and Leigh Ann. I love stories about families and this one delivered it beautifully. I can already imagine the storyline for the next book and look forward to learning more about the direction their lives will take.

Leigh Ann thinks she has things planned out. Her son surprises her. She feels betrayed.
Joie has to deal with difficult decisions. Her client lawyer privilege and family.
Does she feel she can be a mother?

Kellie Coates Gilbert writes romances. Most romances have happy endings. Heartbeats book 2 of the Sun Valley Series has only one third of a happy ending. The first book of the series was aptly named Sisters. It was about three sisters in Sun Valley, Idaho it ended with the eldest finding out that her husband was not having an affair and that he did love her, the middle sister, who was a recent widow finding a new love, and the youngest going back to practicing law, not only that, but partnering with her idol. Heartbeats continues their stories. Leigh Ann’s 20 year-old son shows up with a wife and has joined the Army, Joie, the youngest finds out she’s pregnant, the father was the lying bastard that she left at the end of the last book, and Karyn has a great new job, and a great new boyfriend. That’s how it started. Leigh Ann’s husband got into a bad business deal and it could cost the entire community jobs, to save the community they’ll be broke. Joie’s law firm is on the other side. Karyn’s boyfriend makes some overtures about proposing as the two of them are in his plane searching for her father and her sister who are lost in the mountains. He tells her he’ll do it right and a little more formally after they land and finish the search. As they land to refuel, they get word that Edwin has been found and there is someone else waiting for them. It’s his ex with his son that he was unaware of. Of the three sisters the only one with a happy ending is Joie, she gave birth to a perfect son while on the mountain. She’s the one third happy. Leigh Ann has to get a job, and Kayrn has had a second heartbreak, widowed after only two years of marage and a proposal that becomes a good by as her boyfriend moves out of town to go back to his ex.
