I score on and off the field with ease. Women love me and my wild ways. I'm untamable.
But I never knew any better until I met her. Diana, the sexiest jazz singer and dancer I'd ever seen. There's something about her. She's not easy as other girls and I'm up for this challenge! The passion is too much to handle. And only she can put out the flame she's sparked in me.
I want to hear her sexy voice in my bedroom all the time. Her gorgeous eyes, her smooth soft curves and full lips are for me.
I can't wait to arouse her and show her how dangerous I am.

Overall this was a good read. Cody and Diana are two very different people. They meet when he shows up to her work. He is intrigued by her. The problem is that Cody doesn't do relationships bu he can't stay away though. Thankfully by the end he man's up and they get their HEA.
This is book 3 in the Dangerous series and it features Diana and Cody. Reading this book was a strange experience for me. I couldn’t connect with ANY of the characters but I couldn’t stop reading it. I felt like I had to finish reading it so that I could truly understand what was going on between these two people. Well, I read the entire story and still couldn’t figure them out. I did enjoy her quirky friends though.
I’ve read and reviewed many of the author’s previous books, including all of the previous books in this series. I love how Romi Hart steps out beyond the norm as a way to keep her stories fresh, her readers intrigued, and ensure that her body of work maintains her genuine, inspired voice. It’s one of the things that separates her from the just plain “average” authors.
Of course, writing such stories isn’t without risk, and this story, to me, is a reminder of just that. Please don’t misunderstand me. There’s not a thing wrong with this story. It’s well written, has a unique story line, and of course some steamy love scenes that keep us flipping those pages. As for characters, well it’s got those in startling abundance, and they’re well done also. They’re quirky, kooky, quippy (say that three times fast, LOL) and they’re amazing. This cast of characters are highly intelligent and very talented. So much so, that all of them operate outside the standards of society, making them just a bit…odd. For the most part, that’s fine since they’re a total hoot. Main character Diana is a cabaret-style singer who lives with four other roommates: a rocker, two actors who constantly live “in character” regardless of the situation, and a very popular drag queen who sings at the same lounge as Diana.
Cody is Major League Baseball’s Rookie of the Year and develops an interest in Diana the first night he sees her. He’s got the kind of ego you would expect from a highly talented and sought-after athlete. He also knows the ladies like him and it’s easy to get them. So he expects Diana will be an easy catch as well. That’s his first mistake with this crew. What follows is as off-kilter and insane as this band of vagabonds. But it’s entertaining reading to say the least.
Diana is a cabaret singer with a unique singing style who lives with her four best friends. Cody is a major league baseball player and a major league player and jerk. Women are a challenge to Cody and he tends to use them and then move on to the next one once he gets what he wants. And right now he wants Diana. The problem is that Diana wants him too but doesn't want to get hurt or used like all the others. ❤️️🔥❤️️
This is an interesting book that will pull you in and take you on a ride full of talent, ego, lust, and eventually... love. There were times I really didn't like Cody and couldn't understand why Diana cared about him but then I remembered that we don't get to choose who we fall in love with and it made it easier to understand. 💗
Although this is the third book in the Dangerous series, it is a standalone. 😉
I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Romi Hart is a truly gifted Author that continues to craft realistic scenarios you can envision with ease as well as characters to fall in love with. Cody is used to getting what he wants and the first time he lays eyes on her, he wants her and he's not one to quit. Diana is very attracted to Cody but she's not looking to get her heart broken. She doesn't want to be someone's one night stand... She wants to be someone's everything. Unless Cody is interested in being that man she's not interested. Now if her heart would believe it. Follow along as they steam up your e-reader and find their HEA.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Daring Play in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as the entire Series. Romi never disappoints.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Dangerous Play series. In this book, Cody is a rookie MBL player and he goes to a nightclub where he sees Diana,a jazz singer. Cody is a player and Diana knows it. When Cody hurts one of Diana's friends, her and her roommates decide to teach Cody a lesson. Cody really likes Diana and even gets along with her strange roommates. Diana wants to hate Cody, but she has a connection to him. The more they spend time together, the more their attraction grows, until Cody stops talking to Diana without a reason. I liked this book, i only thought the roommates were a little too strange for me. I think Cody needed to grow up and i think Diana tried to act tougher than she was and i think she really cared for Cody. Good one.
I am perplexed about this book because of its plot. Diana is a jazz singer in a San Francisco club and Cody, a major league baseball player. They meet in the club where Diana sings and 2 worlds collide. She is a California girl and he is a country boy. For different reasons, they begin a game of one-upmanship regarding their relationship. I felt disconnected from the characters, although the secondary characters were very entertaining. The writing was good and I liked the premise of the story. For me, I just didn't get sucked into this story and wasn't a fan of Cody nor Diana. While there were sex scenes, they did not "feel" romantic. I have read several books by this author and, for me, this book was a letdown. 2 1/2 stars
Diana is a singer in a jazz club when she meets Cody. Cody and on his way to be famous as a pro baseball player. Diana wants nothing to do with him because she sees him as a player. However Cody isn't about to let her get away from him. As they spend some time together they get close and Diana sees a different side of Cody. Everything was looking up for them until Cody ghosts her. Why did Cody stop talking to her? Will Diana give him a second chance?
This is a great story and will draw you in and captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
Diana, a blues and jazz singer, pegs Cody, a rookie baseball player, as a player in general right from the start. As the story progresses his true colors taint things, her friends both complicate and support the relationship and love could be the answer to it all. Romi Hart blows me away from the very beginning and just keeps bringing her bad boys a strong gal to love. Daring Play is a lovely addition to the Dangerous series and I can't wait to see what she brings the reader next.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
*minor spoiler* To be honest, the book deserves a better blurb. I received an ARC copy (and am leaving an honest review); if I were to read this blurb on a bookseller website, it would not compel me to buy it. But I digress. I liked how the characters were open to new experiences (and not just in the "billionaire introducing the naive young ingenue to the finer things in life and hot non-missionary sex" way). The friend characters were more than the run-of-the-mill supportive sidekicks that usually inhabit romance novels. I just don't understand, though, why Cody would go incommunicado whenever he left town.
Romi Hart always writes great books about strong alpha bad boy sportsmen and the strong women that bring them to their knees and this one is no exception
Dianna isa singer at a blues and Jazz bar and Cody a up and coming star rookie baseball player come in She pegs him as a player right from the start and she means that in more ways than one. They start a relationship but his bad boy ways don't make things easy With the help and hindrance of friends will this couple have any chance at a HEA. Once again Romi had me laughing and breathing deep at this fun filled romance with its many twists and turns It was a pleasure to read as are all of her books
Wow now this book was a wonderful red. It shows us that no matter the differences between two people are they can always find a way to fill each other's hearts. There was so much laughter and just trying to figure out where it was going to go it had us hooked. I absolutely love this series and I can't wait for the next one. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.
A very entertaining, fun, steamy story that has an amazing group of characters that are likeable with amazing chemistry and passion that kept me interested till the last page turned. This quick opposites attract romance has a unique set of twists and turns with many ups and downs that had me laughing and in the verge of tears as love overcomes all obstacles in the way. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
Daring Play by Romi Hart is frustratingly stubborn! These two main characters have more pride than any one person ought to have. The plot was interesting as well as the personalities and back stories of each character. Overall an interesting read with an unconventional couple with a satisfying HEA. I read an ARC of the book and voluntarily share my review.
Diana is a jazz singer, and Cody is Mayor League Baseball’s Rookie of the year. These two are total opposites, and Cody is used to having women fall at his feet, and Diana certainly makes him work for it, despite the explosive chemistry between them. This is a well written story which is an all round entertaining read, and I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.
What a great read! The storyline is well-written, steamy, has humour and drama and a cast of quirky characters and situations that will bring a smile to your face as you read. This author manages to write sexy, engaging and entertaining books that are sure to please the reader. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
Excellent contemporary baseball romance. The characters are well developed by Ms Hart. The story has a angst as well as conflict and eventually entertaining romance due to a stuck on himself ball player. Diana has a unique group of friends that throw Cody off balance. I look forward to reading future books by this author.
A jazz singer, a rookie baseball player who are complete opposites. Cody and Diana go through their ups and downs but eventually find their HEA ending. This was a good storyline with great characters that was interesting to read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Daring Play is book three in the series Dangerous by author Romi Hart. This a intriguing read that will keep you on your toes. It’s sweet with just enough spice to keep you coming back for more. Enjoy!!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Diana and Cody are opposites that most definitely attract. The story is fun, steamy and very entertaining with an amazing group of characters. I really liked it.
ONE INCREDIBLY CAPTIVATING DELIGHT!!! OMG! Romi never ceases to amaze me. Right when I think there's no way she can top the last one. She hits it again. Romi is my kinda heroine. She calls 'em as she see's 'em and takes us on a wonderfully exciting adventure that thrills us to no end. We're wound so deeply in her imagination, mesmerized to all the frills and chills right along with the characters. Romi has a nack for delivering before we even ask. She's bright, intelligent, gifted, intriguing and so talented she makes it look effortless without missing a beat. Romi carries her characters through all the trials and tribulations that hit hard and sewed right into the fabric of the weaves she's sharing with us. Talk about bringing her characters to life before your eyes. It definitely feels that way. Your not stuck on the sidelines, nope, you're right smack dab in the middle. Once again Romi, you have left me awe struck. Magnificent job Romo, thanks for sharing your gift with us.

Who doesn’t love a fun sports romance with an alpha male rogue of a spirts star who comes to love that special gal? Not me, so long as its well done, and Romi Hart’s Daring Play (Dangerous Book 3) is more than really well done. Well written and with an excellent plot, what really sets this book about is his perfectly crafted the cast of characters is, from our leads, club singer Diana and baseball star Cody (Major League Baseball’s Rookie of the Year) on down. I especially adore Diana‘s roommates (hot rocker, hilarious actors and superb drag queen singer). Pure fun from beginning to its satisfying HEA. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
