It’s Hannah Vale’s first day of college, the day she’s been dying for. What should’ve been an easy transition turns cold when she meets Ethan Winchester. He’s shifty and calculating, beautiful and monstrous… He’s Hannah’s Psychology Professor, and he wants to teach her the true meaning of sacrifice.
Warnings: Spoofy and dark material, meant for mature readers, 18+.
"A completely original take on the musical, Phantom of the Opera, this twisted tale will haunt you with all it's unexpected dark turns." -Lori, Goodreads

All the characters and situations in this book are so fucked up it made me laugh a little. I wish the story was a little longer, although I think the author managed to create and show some characters' unique personalities despite its short length. I really liked that they weren't faceless. The atmosphere was really dark, gloomy and fantastic
I honestly don't know what I just read. It's confusing and just weird as f***. Since it's a novella, everything felt so rushed and the ending was so not what I expected. I saw some reviewers tagged this story with how much the hero is crazy over the heroine, but this is just beyond crazy. This is run for your life type of crazy. Just not my jam...
I won a copy of this book in one of the author groups I follow and was very curious to see what kind of writing this was. It was a short novella and thus a very quick read of a genre I have never ventured into before - dark and maybe shifter? Not having read any shifter romances I can only guess.
I was blown away. The writing is really good and the story very engaging. I'm giving it a 5 star review because I've never read anything like it and loved it.
If it's your first foray into something dark and ... shiftery ... you can't go wrong with this one!
Read this in the anthology The Horror of our Love.
Hannah has joined a new college. There she meets her new professor, who is a maniac psycho obsessed with her. He want to make her his. But there’s another guy named Jesse, who wants Hannah too. Both are obsessed with her and both are equally crazy psychos. So who gets the girl?
This was crazy dark psychological dark romance. This is readable yet I felt something missing.
A completely original take on the musical, Phantom of the Opera, this twisted tale will haunt you with all it's unexpected dark turns... and a Happily Ever After for this masked lost soul will consume you as it did me. Ethan is so clueless as to to win her heart that it breaks mine. Can't wait for more of these amazing characters!
What I thought this story was about was so totally different. It was a dark and crazy ride. This story had a crazy twist that left me going OMG what did I just read. I loved it. That ending was psycho crazy!!! I hope there is more for this story. It was great.
Thanks to the author for a copy to read.... this is my opinion.
Confusing and a bit crazy.... a bit of a phantom of the opera retelling. Hannah Vale is a young freshman at University. Her professor...Ethan Winchester develops a evil obsession with the young student.
What happened? I was a bit confused through out this story with the dark overtones. The first day of classes is dismissed due a tornado warning which is weird since if there is a tornado warning then that means one has been spotted and you would not dismiss rather than take shelter. Then two grisly murders happen with sparse details because the story jumps around leaving holes. The book starts out human and turns other worldly... as Ethan changes Hannah into a creature of the night. This is short novella length so it puzzles more than explains.
Would I recommend or buy? No, fleshing out and much more info is needed. I was more confused than entertained.
Thoughts for the author? Thank you so much for a copy, I appreciate it. I feel it had a lot of potential and I was excited for the idea, but for me it did not deliver well.
