These books have numerous unresolved mysteries that the writer did not care to answer or mention. In order to be entertained by these books, you must ignore them. Overall, I rated these books 1.5/5. I enjoyed the first book more. The second book revolves around the main characters and I lost my interest in that.
Example of the unresolved mysteries. 1. Why and how did the main female character can get access to unlimited storage in another dimension? 2. It is hard for me to believe that humans have gone extinct. The writer should provide more explanations on that. Simply saying that humans could not adapt to this harsh environment is ridiculous in my opinion. It is obvious that humans can adapt to live within this environment, as you can see how the leading female character learned to live in that. Humans have numerous innovations and technology to thrive, so it is not reasonable how humans have gone extinct. 3. Why and how did Ryan shrink from being a fully grown adult to a cub? In the first book, it seems to be a mystery that Ryan himself did not know, but somehow, in the second book, it was one of his abilities. It is inconsistent. 4. Related to 3., how did he transform back to an adult form? Again, in the first book, it seems to be a mystery, but in the second book, he knew how to do that. It does not make sense. 5. The leading female character vanished when she was attacked by Raoul Sith. However, the second time, she could not. Why? 6. After Raoul Sith was injured from the fight with Ryan, somehow he became stronger after that. How? He suffered injuries that almost cost him his life, yet he recovered and became stronger than ever before. How? What doesn't kill you make you stronger? What is dead may never die? How? 7. How could the leading female character get a phone call from her mother? There was no signal, but suddenly, out of the blue, there was. 8. The leading female character wanted to go back so hard. One day, she just vanished and was transported back to the modern world. How? What triggered that ability? After that, it seems like she can come and go as she pleases, but it lacks reasons to support how that could happen in my opinion. 9. I do not like how the books simply categorized animals into two groups: herbivores and carnivores. There are omnivores too.
These are just examples. There are a lot more and I do not want to mention them. However, from my examples, you can clearly see that there are tons of logical flaws within these books. I did not enjoy these books much because I was annoyed that the writer provided little explanations of things. It seems like they just happened and you have to accept that.
