Savior
Erica thought she was going crazy. It had been months since the strange death of her husband and ever since then she'd felt like she was being watched. But then it happened, she was attacked by an incredibly strong and strange man in the middle of a busy nightclub.
After the attack Erica called Dexter Duvane, her late husband's business partner. Dexter shocked Erica by telling her that she wasn't going crazy, she was being hunted by vampires. It seemed the vampires were the ones behind her husbands death because of the work he did and they intended to kill her as well.
However, Dexter had a plan. What Erica needed was a protector. Someone or something that even vampires feared. The question was would the protector deem her worthy? Would he be her savior?

I want to be Erica when i grow up!
Erica is a young widow who doesn't understand her husband's death and why she's been attacked. Twice. It turns out her husband was keeping secrets, but ones. He and his partner Dexter, were running a supernatural halfway house /agency, helping shifters adapt to living with humans. They got her husband, but Dexter promised to keep her safe. Unbeknownst to Dexter and his network, there is a vampire corporation that wants to take control. Of the world. Their first step is to get rid of vampires and shifters that believe in co-existing, including Erica's husband. Who knows what the next step is? How that Erica is in the know, she's creating a Sancuary. She's got guts, and smarts. And help. I'm reading these kind of backwards,as i read the Kat Dark books first.

What to say about this author and this book? How about a most excellent adventure with a little romance thrown in. I liked this book so much that I went ahead and read the next 2 books available in the same evening. Hoping to see more from Lane Mason as I really dig the writing style and the action sequences are done well
