The Golden Age, Volume 1, Part 2

Rate this book
An exiled princess, a knight and his young companion travel across a kingdom in turmoil to rally support so the princess can reclaim her throne. On a journey fraught with danger, they briefly find sanctuary in an isolated community of woman warriors before departing for the city of Ohman. Not only is a mysterious treasure said to be hidden there, but a peasant uprising, inspired by a mythical text about equality, is in full, bloody swing. This is the second part of the first volume of this breathtaking graphic novel.

Thrilling conclusion to a great story and still absolutely the most beautiful art I’ve ever seen in a graphic novel. I could frame any page in the book and put it on my wall.

This is the review for the entire duology.

Let me just state upfront that the artwork is excellent! The story was great overall, but the second part fell flat because, to me, it ended so abruptly and with a cliffhanger.
