As Ao’s grades continue to fall, her feelings for Kijima continue to increase exponentially. Expecting her innermost desire, Ao decides to accept Kijima and her situation only to constantly fall short. Disappointed and confused, Ao creates some distance and breaks her “friendship” with Kijima leading to regret and falling into further frustration.
If you’re here with me reading this series, you’ll know just how comedic it can be. The misunderstandings couldn’t be executed better and the expressions reflected in the art are as always perfect. I find it very interesting how the author is able to take common everyday occurrences and conversation and give them a perverted outlook. It really adds to the confusion, heart-rendering suspense and overall second-hand embarrassment the readers will face.
My respect for our “King Normie” Kijima, has risen following this volume. Kijima is unlike his friend. From his words the reader can tell how serious he is about Ao and how much she means to him. Although Ao can be weird and acts suggestively, Kijima always has his head on him and maintains his composure. I still do wonder how he continues to like Ao with her exaggerated emotional outbreaks but then again, ‘love is blind’.
The artwork in this volume is similar to the previous volumes however there was much more blushing and the addition of some new locations. The artwork feels almost digitally drawn with static lines and patterns. The backgrounds utilize multiple patterns and shading to portray the emotions and environments. Also, I think it’s good to mention again that the expressions are absolutely detailed and hilarious!
Overall, this was another hilarious addition to this series and I’m happy we’re making progress. We end off on a cliffhanger indicating the confusion and uncertainty about each other’s feelings is coming to an end. I am interested and excited to see where we go in the next five volumes!
I feel like Ao is the only one caught up in embarrassing situations where she (somehow) becomes nude/semi-nude in front of Kijima. Like, how did she not feel the cold air from where her underwear is exposed? I feel bad for her since she wants to study to leave her father and now she just can't, even after dumping Kijima. I was really afraid for a moment that she would drug Kijima, but luckily she decided not to. Even if she prepared him food with (natural) aphrodisiac effects, at least she didn't do what her father did, which was lace the food with a libido booster. That guy is a terrible father.

So, will Ao-chan give in to her carnal desires? Will she throw "the normie king" on the floor, RIP off his clothes, & make sweet, sweet love to him? Well, probably not, but wow, she sure does want to! She's worse than a female cat in heat. And such a dirty imagination. Naughty, naughty. So very naughty. What next? Art, very good. Dialogue, very real, very believable. Characters, believable, likeable, relatable.
