Most little girls grow up idolizing supermodels, princesses or movie stars...but not Rebekah Golden. Rebekah “Beck” Golden grew up idolizing two men. One was her father, a Navy hero who died before she was even born...and a biker. Maybe being born along the side of the road in a desert, and seeing the bikers face before she saw anything else had something to do with it. Or maybe it was the letters that Xander “Coyote” Lee sent her every year on her birthday, showing her a side of himself that even those closest to him never saw, but those two men would serve to be the inspiration for almost everything she did for the first thirty-five years of her life. When Beck finally had to admit that no matter how hard she worked, she'd never be the right gender for the Navy Seals that she coveted, she moved on to her next dream. But if she thought the US Government had a chip on its shoulder about women in their ranks...she hadn't seen anything yet. Rebekah shows up in California at the clubhouse Coyote built, almost four years too late to gain his support. But she recognizes her hero in his son and manages to convince him to give her a chance. Rebekah will give more of herself for the goal of becoming a Westside Skull than she'd ever given to anything in her life...but will it be enough? Beck Golden is a lot like the men she will have to fight against for what she wants. She cusses like a sailor. She's got a dark outlook on life. She's sarcastic and edgy....and when it comes to sex, she thinks like a man. She's also drop-dead gorgeous, and she knows it. To Beck, it's just another weapon in her arsenal of many. To keep from being thought of as just another club girl, Beck will turn that beauty in the direction of an unlikely and unsuspecting biker named Jace. Jace has had a rough life, and his exterior shows it. Big, dark and covered in scars, Jace makes most people want to run in the opposite direction, but Beck Golden doesn't scare easily. Using Jace to satisfy her almost constant sexual urges will be the easy part though. Not falling in love with him once she starts to see past that frightening exterior...that might just be impossible. Jace is a biker, a Skull, and in his role as a nomad his loyalty to both the Southside and Westside has been above reproach. He doesn't believe any differently about women in the club than his brothers do. But what Jace does believe in is Beck. Through Jace and another unlikely champion, the president of the Westside Skulls himself, Beck might just discover that's all she was looking for all along. Ride along with us and get to know Beck and Jace, and don't forget to pay attention to the scenery. You might just uncover another secret or two about the club you love along the way. Get it Now!

This is the first book of Beck and Jace. If I understand correctly there will be two more about Jace. This one is mostly about Beck.
Beck is actually Rebekha. If you read Coyote then you met Beck when she was born. She is the daughter of the woman Sarah that Coyote helped when she broke down in the middle of nowhere and gave birth with Coyote helping her. Mind you that was a time before cell phones.
Beck is a strong, fierce, smart and take no bullshit type of woman. She wanted to be the first female Navy seal but you can imagine how that turned out. Coyote had told her that he would patch her in his MC when she was ready but she was a couple years late. She wasn't taking no for an answer with Wolf. The club voted she had to pass a series of test to get the chance to prospect. The test were designed to make her fail. This book will take you through those tests.
She has the same attitude as some men about sex also. She doesn't want a relationship but enjoys sex as much if not more than males but it's not fair to call her a slut and not men is it? I'm leaving anything to do with Jace until the next book but he is very much a big part of this one.
If you have read the other books ahead of this one then you will see a lot of the same people who have been in the others and learn even more about each of them.
I've enjoyed this book and this series a lot and there are plenty more to come.

Phew! Beck was a girl who knew what she wanted and was certainly determined to get it. She was extremely pretty but as hard as nails when she needed to be....and when being the first female Navy Seal didn’t happen she moved on to the Westside Skulls and is determined to patch in with them. Her relationship with Coyote had been unusual to say the least, but here she is to see her dream come true. Yikes! The boys aren’t happy. But she’s willing to prove herself and they decide she has tasks to complete to show her strength. Beck agrees, she’s a trained Seal, she’ll have no problem what they throw her way.
Then she meet’s Jace. Physically they are a match, Beck can handle any man. But the intense sexual pull she feels for the scared Nomad knocks her for six. Sex has always been just a release for Beck and the feelings and emotions Jace has awakened in her have broken through her cold heart and found the warm centre confusing the hell out of Beck.

This was a different Skulls story. Beck was first very hard, not afraid to show her needs, scared of nothing, full of guts and vinegar but determined to make it right.
And Jace. Well he was an understanding man and very acute, he seemed to understand Beck very well. They made a perfect couple, they were on the same level, fun and the sex was off the charts.
Great to see an intense heroine lead the story. An awesome read!

Let's start off by saying that I really love this series and Jessie Cooke is one of my favorite MC authors as I love everything she writes but, Beck moved up to the top favorite couples in this ongoing series.

I think that I loved this story the most out of the entire series. This story was simply amazing that was full of fun and tons of laughs. The story started out with a bang and sucked you right in and was none stop fun from then on. This story was a page turner to beginning to end . The story was filled with so many great characters that this electric bunch added to making it one heck of an enjoyable read.

I always pick a favorite character and this time around it is going to be Beck, that women was just a hoot. Beck was a woman who knows what she wants and does everything to make her dreams happen. Beck can do anything a man can do like ride, shoot, swear, screw but, one thing she wants most of all and that is to be a patched member of the Westside Skulls.

Coyote and Beck have bonded over the years through letters and once she retires from the Navy she shows up at the clubhouse to convince him to give her a chance at becoming a patched member but, her next journey in life is not going as planned and boy did she take us on what a heck of a ride. I have never laughed so much through a book like I did this one.

This story was seriously a hot one ! Jace and Beck had serious chemistry together, and they were definitely all about the fireworks. This couple were perfect for one another, Jace a nomad MC club member and Beck who keeps everyone at a distant but, in the arms of one another they found just what the other needed.

I found Beck to be a tough cookie, standoffish until you knew her better, smart, sassy, sexy, feisty, determined and has one of those infectious personalities.

Jace is one of those loner type individual who keep things close to the vest and just personable enough to people to like him. One look at Beck and everything he thought he knew about himself went right out the window. Both of them took a wild ride together and had one hell of adventure, and we loved being on it, as they we a fascinating and fun couple to read about.

Overall, this story was an awesome read from beginning to end." We loved it !"

Beck has popped up in previous books, and I've been back & forth about her, but I will be honest, I've wanted her story, because I knew that there was more than meets the eye when push came to shove. And I've never been happier to be right, because her story was POWERFUL! See, Rebekah Golden was delivered on the side of the road by Coyote Lee, and since her father was a Navy hero who died before she was born, he kind of became her other hero. It's not like he was around, just wrote her letters throughout her life. So, she joined the Navy, doing everything she could to become a SEAL, but when that didn't come to pass, she went to get Coyote's support to patch in with the Westside Skulls MC, but she was 4 years too late, so she had to try to get his son's Wolf to agree. Luckily, she showed up at the right time to save Wolf's life, so somehow she talked him into bringing it up in Church. The boys aren't happy, so they put her through the paces with some huge tests that most of the men wouldn't even pass. In the meantime, Beck has some chemistry with a scarred nomad named Jace, and they are lighting the sheets on fire with the crazy hot sexy times. However, despite Beck never letting her emotions getting involved, and Jace never telling anyone anything about himself, these two start catching feelings. So yeah, the brilliant & addictive Jessie Cooke has penned another fantastic story which completely original in the MC genre, and it's told by multiple POVs which I really loved. Of course there are some big twists besides what I've already described, so my f-bombs were flying from every direction. I'm so EXCITED about the next chapter of this series, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Lord Have Mercy is what I was thinking when I finished this book. I can't even think straight enough to write this review. I always take notes when I am reading to remind me of key things that really got my attention in the book and I have to say that I have two full pages of notes because Beck is so badarse I can't even put it into words. She is strong and faithful and courageous and so much more I can't even describe her fully.

Beck had a rough life. She lost her father before she was born and her life was not an easy one. She did have a strong man in her life that spoke to her ever year and he made her a promise that she never thought she would have to use but life is rough and her life in the Navy is not going right because it is a man's world where women are not taken seriously. So being sick and tired of her fellow Navy mates she leaves and goes in search of Coyote the one man who made her a promise. Only when she gets there she is greeted by some news she didn't expect.

But she has her one promise and she intends on making the MC keep it. She meets Coyote's son Wolf and he decides that he will keep his father's promise but she is going to have to work hard for it. And she does boy oh boy does she work hard to be a member of the Westside Skulls. But she also has an agenda to get one of the bikers and use him as she needs him but when she meets Jace and they start to get together she doesn't expect for her heart to fall in love with him. Jace is rough and covered in scars but she sees beneath that and the two of them form a bound that no one can break.

This is an amazing addition to the series and one I will re-read over again just to make sure I didn't miss anything!

I'm giving this a 4.25 rating, instead of a straight 4.

I've loved all of the Westside Skull books that I've read, but Beck is by far my favorite. That's because the heroine is incredibly cool. She is tough, physically strong, amazing, and just all around wicked cool.

Beck has just left the Navy after 17 years. She really wanted to be a SEAL, but they wouldn't let her, so she's ready to be done. She wants to move on to the next part of her life, which is to patch into the Westside Skulls. Coyote, the former president, delivered her on the side of the road, and they formed a bond then and there. He wrote her a letter every year for her birthday, and they talked about a lot of things, including her joining his MC. Now it's time for her to do that.

Jace, a nomad, is at the Westside Skulls to customize a bike for the kid of one of his brothers. The boy is on the autism spectrum, and he's obsessed with bikes, and he wants one just like his dad's. Exactly like his dad's, down to the smallest detail, which is where Jace comes in. Customizing bikes is his life, and he's good at it. Then in walks Beck, and they manage to get under each other's skin.

The focus on this book is really Beck, which isn't to say that Jace is left out. We do still get both POVs, but I do love that we focus hard on Beck, because that's different when it comes to most MC books. I'm not going to complain about it, because I don't think it would've worked in any other way. She had to be the focus and the POV.

I totally need more of Jace and Beck and I'm really looking forward to the next book in their spinoff.

I absolutely love MC books with the leading female in or wants to join the MC. Beck has wanted to join the Westside Skulls ever since Coyote the former President had talk so highly about them. She couldn’t be a SEAL in the Navy because they wouldn’t allow women in special ops so she thought she would do the next best thing and be in a motorcycle club. She is met with opposition about joining the Westside Skulls but she pointed out Coyote had faith in her which his son, Wolf took into consideration. Jace is on her side throughout it all, but he also has his demons and they are not easily slayed. When things start heating up between the two Jace doesn’t know how Beck can look past his appearance. Will the list the members of the MC devise for Beck to test her so she can Prospect for the club be too insurmountable for her to pass? Will Beck and Jace overcome all that is stacked against them to be together? Another great addition to the Westside Skulls MC series!!! I can’t wait for more by this author especially her new series the Phoenix Skulls MC!!

Another really good story from this author. I loved how all the loose ends from throughout the previous books were tied together in this one. Jace, well what can I say, this man is 😍😍 I loved everything about him, he was kind, compassionate and still a little alpha when he wanted and needed to be. I loved his passion for his craft, his brotherhood and his sister. My biggest issue was Beck. I didn’t love her, she was just okay, I think her saving grace was her strength, and the way she loved Jace for who he was regardless of his appearance. I think what bugged me most was the attitude that rubbed me the wrong way. By the end she had grown on me, but certainly my least favourite lead from this author. Glad that I got my little fix of Dax too 😍

I love that there is another new chapter of the Skulls and can’t wait to read all about them.

A different, but great story

Beck isn't your typical female by any means. She's tough, intelligent, confident, arrogant, independent, but being gorgeous is a major downfall for her since it makes women instantly hate her, and the guys only want her for one thing. She's been blocked from doing everything she's ever wanted because of being female, but now she's out to prove that she can outdo most of the guys in the club, if they'll only give her the chance. What she doesn't count on is meeting him, or the insane chemistry between them. Can she prove that she should be the next prospect for the Westside Skulls MC? You're certainly not going to want to miss this one!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and great author.

Beck was a girl who knew what she wanted and went balls to the wall to get it. Her relationship with Coyote had been unusual, but when she shows up to see her dream come true of bringing a member of the Westside Skulls she's learns he's gone. Even after that need she’s willing to prove herself and they decide she has tasks to complete to show her strength. Then Jace comes into her life and they are perfect for one. The intense sexual pull she feels for the nomad knocks her for loop. Sex has always been just a release for Beck and the feelings and emotions Jace has awakened in her have broken through her cold heart and confusing the hell out of her.
Great to see an intense heroine lead the story. An awesome read!

Beck is kinda the key

Jessie Cooke has pulled us out of the tears from Cyotes story to the vibrant story of the baby he delivered along the highway. I keep thinking Jace is a returning character but I can not remember his story... In Beck's story Jace is Kinda her champion. I liked the tests she does to get her patch. It makes the story fun. I do wonder what surprises might be in-store .

Ms. Jae

I loved this book. Coyote is so far my favorite, I loved all of his flaws and insecurities. I loved that he was loyal and loved his family but was beautifully broken. In this book I hoped that we got to get to know him better by way of the letters that wrote to Beck as she was growing up. I was disappointed that more of the letters were not revealed. But, it was still a great read.

Grab this awesome read

All of Jessie's book are great stories. If you have not read the first one I would highly recommend that first. The story of Beck and Mace is a story about how strong woman can be and working hard to get what they want. She is a bit of a bad a@@, retired from the Navy with one goal in mind to a part of the MC , she ended up finding her true love also.

Fantastic

Jace and Beck’s story was wonderful. This author keeps you guessing that is for sure. I love the other little story within this. Yippee for another MC Skulls in Arizona. I can’t wait. I like that at the beginning Jace giving Beck a little bit of her own medicine. That was really good for her. I am ready for the next stories from this author.

From trials to tribulation

Beck a no nonsense Navy nurse shares a history with Coyote. When she retires she searches for him and finds out he died. She asks Wolf the president to help her fulfill the promise Coyote made. She meets Jace the scarred biker and he helps her in more ways than one to fulfill this dream.

Strength-Wisdom -Heart

It takes strength to allow your heart freedom and wisdom to see heart can be a great strength. Beck has a closed heart but her wisdom to not judge appearances and her wisdom to overcome bring her to open her heart and give Jace the strength to see his worth. She also allows others to see a side of Coyote that was known.

Starting off a book with a bitter feminist rant isn’t the way to go. No women don’t belong in any of the special forces for a reason. Even if they were capable of getting through BUDS (none have, most men don’t), it has nothing to do with performance in actual combat and operational readiness.
I had to stop after the first chapter because the heroine was bitter and obnoxious.

Awesome!

Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed this latest in the series. The references to the previous books is like rereading them. The characters are so alive and again, I cried and laughed. Can't wait to continue Beck and Jace's story in Phoenix.
