Good but far too short. I felt like it hadn't even gotten started properly. I hadn't gotten chance to connect with any of the characters yet. It is a good concept and I loved the multiple views but more like a long chapter.

I liked this author's "The Long Fall" so thought I would give this a try. This was very, very short, so much so that it is hard to connect with the characters, though Kentucky and Siri both have some potential. The darkening of the sun (which made me frown for the science) is later explained, so OK. However, since a CME is solar plasma and not just "light", it would not be able to reach the earth in eight minutes no matter how large it was, and would take 1-3 days at least. I would also think that if the sun were dying as was postulated, it would not have been possible to keep that a secret for 2 years. Also a massive CME like what is described and apparently overwhelming the earth's magnetosphere, it would not just burn everything but everything would be irradiated. I am not a fan of such short stories chained together so may wait until it is all completed if I decide to continue.

Quite the opening installment!
Sky Fall tells the story of a solar flare, followed by a massive, destructive Coronal Mass Ejection which strikes the Earth with devastating ferocity. The survivors of the solar strike struggle to survive fires, floods, explosions, building collapses and every other disaster they could be faced with. We were only introduced to the characters in this first installment, so none are well rounded just yet, but I hope that changes as the series goes on. The action sequences are first rate, clearly and vividly composed. Dialog is strained as strangers are thrown together seeming randomly and no-one trusts anyone else just yet. This is a complete thrill ride if an opening installment, giving me high hopes for what comes next! 5/5 stars, highly recommended for fans of apocalyptic thrillers, but especially for fans of Mike Kraus, Justin Bell and Tara Ellis!

I was a little confused at the beginning of this book just because I wasn't sure what was actually happening when people were stopping to look into the sky and causing accidents. Once it was explained, everything made sense.
I liked how many characters were introduced and that they had their own POVs. It definitely made things more interesting as I got to see just how large the scale of damage was.
The pacing was ok. It was a little slow at times but I think as the series continues, it will improve as less world building will be needed and so the plot can focus more on the after effects and the survivors.
The end was interesting. There was an extra POV that gave more insight and it made me even more curious. It also ended with a cliffhanger so I'm looking forward to reading the next book.

too short and I will read the next one but if that is as short as this one, I won't continue after book 2. I have read so many apocalyptic books and this is ok but too short. and it runs just like most apocalyptic books go. and i just found out I have to wait for almost a month before the second book comes out so now I won't read the second book. These authors should have the books written far in advance and make each book long enough to begin with. so we aren't left hanging. There are too many apocalyptic books to begin while waiting and then you lose track or interest in the above mentioned book after you begin another book series and never get back to it. I have a number of books that are still lingering and it is hard to keep track.

8 minutes to survive. There's a massive coronal mass ejection coming and the book centers on a few groups of people and what they do when that happens. If that wasn't enough the sun seems to be dying which could wipe out all traces of life on Earth within a year.
(Scientifically, though, this wouldn't happen. The sun wouldn't die after a CME. It would just on. When it starts to die it's going to expand, change color to become a red giant and totally destroy Mercury, Venus and very probably the Earth. Nothing at all will be left.)

As the sun wreaks havoc on the world..what to survivors do next.
Really getting into these books now I'm reading them in order. I keep wondering , what would I do in the same situation. It's not difficult to put yourself in the shoes of the survivors. Each character has his own mission..to find out what as happened to their families, while trying to avoid the wildlife, toxic air, the cold and others looking out for themselves. Looking forward to the next book to find out what happens as what's left of the sun continues to wreak havoc on the world.

Had me hooked
Had me hooked right from the start. I've taken one star off because Samuel, the boy Patty picked up with his mother Gina, had a sudden name change to Joseph. I suggest the author get another proofreader...by the way that would be my dream job! Great storyline and characters, fast paced and I'm really looking forward to the next book.

Sky Fall, book 1, is an intense beginning to Mr. Keys’ gripping thriller that shows the beginning of a massive environmental disaster. The characters are realistic and very likable. Their stories kept me turning pages as quickly as I possibly could. I’m so excited about book 2. Which exactly what I plan to get as soon as I finish this review. I highly recommend it.

My first experience with this author, Logan Keys. The storyline is interesting and the characters are developing very well. A slightly different "take" on Solar Flares, initially it's a little hard to follow combined with the different locations and each chapter being a different group of people.

Very interesting full of action. I was extremely surprised by the shortness of the book and the abrupt ending until I read the explanation. I'm glad that I didn't find these books until they were all written because I wouldn't have liked waiting for the next one. There are a lot of characters. It was a little hard to remember who's who in the beginning.

Love this tale of a solar flair that goes horribly wrong and the skies are on fire all around.

Brilliant as ever.
Another good, well written post apocalyptic thriller from Logan Keys. I love this genre and never get bored as different authors focus on different aspects. I have pre- ordered book 2 but don't like having to wait lol!!

The author of the book Sky Fall: A Post Apocalyptic Survival Thriller did a wonderful job in writing the book. I am one who does not like multiple chat in a book. The author did a pretty good job at keeping track of each character.

Good read
I found the premise of this book to be entertaining but scary. The characters were interesting and I enjoyed their dialogue. The only problem I had was it was so short. I look forward to the next book.

Really Good
Just finished the 1st book. You won't hear from me until and if I finish the series.
So far the story is well written but usually they become back ground noise if I lose interest.

This book is good I like the characters the plot is good it moves quickly and keeps my interest so I’m going to keep reading each book. Only problem is I’m going to finish before the next book is completed.

It takes real talent to develop characters so well in such a short book!
I generally avoid shorter things, because normally, i just don't get attached to characters as well. But in this case, I am anxious to read the whole series, to find out what happens to each of these fantastic book people!
