Short on the romance part, IMO, but there is a lot of intrigue regarding an evil shifter sect that wants to bring a kind of magical Armageddon, it kept me interested.
The best surprise: the male MC has got a hairy chest! Hurrah!!! Ole, ole, ole! Finally, a man who is not today's ideal: clean chested but perfectly chiselled man...I'm telling you, I read a lot, and not a single male character is hairy, almost never...So, yeah, Ms Ash, on behalf of the women who still love hairy chests: THANK YOU!

Insta-love big time!
Human Paige Hall, and her son Jake, find excitement and danger at her bear shifter boss, Rex Fairburn's home in the form of babysitting, his four children. The whole 'shifter', 'love-thing', and acceptance, happened WAY TOO FAST for two people who've been devastated by love in the past, and were also parents, but I choose to believe it has to do with the whole mate magic. Four kids and he leaves a complete stranger with them after talking to her for all of ten minutes, and doesn't even leave her his phone number?! Huh?! But I loved the fact that babysitter and hotel room cleaner, Paige seemed to be more knowledgeable about the surrounding area history and artifacts than Rex was. She was a strong, determined character despite the fact that she was human, a mom, and with low employment skills. Her heart, strength, and tenacity, came through with ALL the kids, not just her own, from the very beginning when faced with danger within a very surprising and shocking situation. I'm definitely buying the set right now! I want to know who wolf shifter Lily ends up with. ;-)

This is another fascinating shifter romance written by two talented authors & I really enjoyed reading it. The plot is well-thought out & written with unique characters that have well-defined individual personalities.
There is: a single father & bear shifter (Rex), his four children (Micah, Samuel, Nate & Eden), a single human mother (Paige), her son (Jake), bear shifter, dragon shifters, various kinds of shifters, worms/fallen dragons, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, adventure, action, mystery, magic, danger, enemies, evil, vandalism, violence, Wellsprings, secrets, memories, verbal abuse, defensiveness, unease, suspicions, fear, protectiveness, attractions, blackmail, defiance, emotional turmoil, anger, physical conflict, guns blazing, sensual teasing, exploring, strange ruins, complications, injuries, contentment, happiness, a little steam & a satisfying ending.
I would recommend this shifter romance to people who like to read this genre. I doubt that you would be disappointed in this book.

Love, love, loved it! What a great beginning to a new series. The story is action-packed from the first page. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner and read it in one sitting. The evil “Fangs of Apophis” are back to continue their malicious plans to eradicate all shifters and humanity. Rex a bear shifter and single father of four, Paige a human single mother of one and the “First Flight of Dragons” join together to defeat the villainous forces. This book drags you into a paranormal world of spine chilling suspense, intrigue, danger, sizzling chemistry and romance. If you're looking for an exciting, heart-pounding, pulse-racing and romantic story “Damaged Daddy Bear” is it.

🌵A mere human "Mama Bear" determined to love and protect 💚🐻
👍👍 Time flew by while reading this action-packed story of shifters and a brave single mother fighting a strange menace in 🌵southeast Colorado. Battles, passionate clinches, eerie magical forces and determined planning to stop a mysterious menace, all with a shifter-human romance at its heart and some cozy relief in the form of five active children, each sporting his or her unique personality. I enjoyed it all, even not having read the authors' previous stories about some of the 🐉dragon, 🐺wolf, 🐀rat, 🐻bear and 🐇hare shifters who ally to war with the baddies in this book. There's a satisfying HFN so it can happily be read as a standalone.:-)😊

Great start to the follow-up series to Dragon Dreams
This starts off right where the Dragon Dreams box set ends. Finn and Bree meet with bear, wolf, rat and hare shifters in Colorado. The head bear shifter is the daddy bear in the title. This fast paced, action oriented storyline with some character development has an intense tone, some steamy scenes and many new vivid characters, including a great bunch of kids who add significantly to the story, in my opinion. I did get a little tired of Rex ignoring his bear, but that was minor. The action really moved the story along. If this sounds good to you, read the Dragon Dreams box set first, and then this series in order. They do stand on their own, but make way more sense if you read them in order. Enjoy!

Rex is a bear shifter who has lost his wife and has been made parent to two orphans who have recently lost their parents. Enter Paige who is running from her boyfriend and her son. They are new to the area and Rex’s bear has decided that she is its mate. Rex doesn’t want a mate, but the bear insists. Enter kidnapping, self-assessment, love and a cult trying to do who knows what.
The interaction of the characters and them finding themselves and becoming a cohesive unit lead to a HEA with a cliffhanger.

Great one
This is the first book I have read by these authors and I must say it is wonderful. This book is so well written it grabbed me at the first chapter and I could not put it down. Great paranormal romance surrounded by a mystery that has me hooked. Definitely worth reading even if you haven’t read any other books because everything is so well explained. I am going back to read the other series just because I loved this one. No cliff hangers but I am ready to find out more on this mystery. Love it, happy reading.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the main characters, Paige and Rex, and their kids!! Too cute! Definitely some action involved in the plot, and while their story gets wrapped up in this book, there are still unanswered questions that I'm hoping carry through a series that follows this book. I read this in one sitting, mostly because I ignored everything else due to not wanting to stop! Looking to read more books by this author for sure!

This was a surprisingly good story, the name leads you to expect fluff, but it ended up being a solid read. It follows a traditional romance format, but add in the shifters and the tie in to the authors previous series, and it’s got a good amount of things going on! It’s a very quick read, took me the length of naptime ( about an hour and a half ) to finish, and it’s a lovely afternoon getaway! Thank you so much for the opportunity to review this getaway!

Allowing love to happen
Rex is a bear shifter and has four children, two of his own and two he was left custody of when his friends died. When Paige comes to look after Rex's children as a favour for her neighbour neither has any idea that both their lives are going to change. Readers should enjoy following the characters of this book filled with true mates love and the shifter world. I heartily recommend this book.

I love it! I was glued to my kindle. This is a fantastic book. I was on the edge of my seat. It is a rollercoaster ride that you will absolutely love. Paige was running from an ex and Rex was mourning the loss of his wife and raising 4 children on his own. Can Rex and Paige let their past go to be together? Grab this book to find out. Entertaining
With a plethora of different shifters this book, my first by this author, was well written and the story well paced. I enjoyed the Native American mythos and history that was alluded. It piqued my interest into another genre of studies. I am looking forward to reading the boxed set preceding this story.

I really really liked this 1st book! It's like all the shifter breeds in the world have to come together to fight an unknown evil. I loved how this felt like a second chance at love story after both characters had experience love and lose (in their own ways).
The characters were so well developed, the storyline was interesting and kept me engaged from beginning to end.

Great
I loved this. It's fast paced and very exciting. Paige is running from her son's daddy because he's a drunk and beats her, she never married him. Her son's five now. Her life sucks and has a new job cleaning rooms at the local resort. She gets involved in shifters and stolen artifacts. But she finds love with a bear shifter and all ends well.

I really enjoyed this book, first in series, because it was different from other shifter books. Old world magic involved per storyline. I enjoyed the characters and getting to know them, but more to come in future books so not letting on what. Bear, Rex, sounds amazing and Paige, unknown mate is a good, sweet person but don't mess with her family. Read this book!!!

It had potential
It started out really good and then insta love ruined it. Skipped through the rest of book and then gave up at 3/4. Well written and I loved the story line, I just wish there was a better connection between the main characters.
