Bodyguard.

Sniper.

Morally corrupt.

I didn't care who I aimed at. You paid me, I pulled the trigger. I sold my skills to the highest bidder and trust me, I had skills. The Marines didn't train me to only aim a sniper rifle, they taught me to get the job done—at any expense.

Except hostage recovery wasn't on my short list. I made people disappear, I didn't find them. I didn't give a shit the personal security firm that'd hired me was paying double to get some rich businessman's daughter back without casualties. I didn't negotiate with terrorists. Ever. I had my own plan. Take out anyone in my sights, recover the hostage, and get out. But then I laid eyes on the half-naked, bleeding brunette, and I changed my mind. I was gonna do a hell of a lot more than simply pull the trigger.

Now they were gonna find out how fearless a bodyguard could be.

Fearless is Tyce and Ludeviene's story. We got introduced to Ty in Merciless. He was one of the security guys essential to get Collin's ex and son out from under the thumb of the Cartel.

Ty unknowingly started working for the cartel when he got out of the Marines. When everything went down in book 2, he got a second chance with Luna and Associates. However, that Cartel connection comes in handy when Ludeviene is kidnapped and Ty infiltrates from inside to save her.

This was pretty action packed from the start. Ty is completely fearless when he goes in alone to take out the Cartel. All to save a woman he has an instant connection with from the night before. The thought of her innocence being ruined by the Cartel has Ty going insane with the need to take them down and he shows it!

Ty is very hard core and has more demons than most. He thinks he isn't good enough for Ludeviene which has him coming off as a jerk to her, but it really doesn't take much for him to realize he just can't stay away.

Ludeviene is shy, classy and just as innocent as you can get. She is just as drawn to Ty as he is to her. She's pretty shocked by the trauma of being kidnapped and watching Ty kill without mercy to save her, but that won't stop her from taking what she wants from him.

Sybil Bartel is the queen of writing military men. They are the baddest of the baddest and I love to see them in action. I highly recommend her books if you love the very dominant and very alpha heroes.

You're probably getting tired of hearing me gush about most books by this author. I just feel the urge to scream out at whoever will listen about how good Sybil's books are! Her writing is improving with every book release and if you're looking for action this novel, in particular, is definitely for you!

Ty was a mystery from past books in this series. He's been portrayed as mean and rude with some glimpses of him being caring in rare instances. I liked how the author portrayed him. He's not necessarily an anti-hero but he's far from a saint. He doesn't shy away from inflicting violence if the means justify the end. That's always who his character was (even in past books) and that didn't change with his story and finding someone he could love other than his family.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ludeviene. She comes from a filthy rich family and an upbringing to match. She's been sheltered and seems to have a very overprotective father who likes to keep up appearances. The thing that I didn't love about her was her not speaking due to shock/panic. I can understand that shock and panic can make the human brain not function properly but, storywise, it caught me off guard.

I love how the author incorporated ASL (American Sign Language) in this story! If I were ever to learn a third language it would probably be sign language.

The ending was heart-shatteringly sweet. It was pain and sadness and wanting a happy future sort of moment and I can't fault the author for how she ended Ty's story. On a completely different note, I really really really really want a story on Myles (Neil's nephew)! Would it be naive of me to hope Callus is about him?

My Favorite Quotes:

"[...] I didn't equate survival or self-defense with murder."

"I didn't know how to live."

"No one had ever trusted me to take care of myself."

Fearless is the 5th book in the Alpha Bodyguard series of standalones.

This started with so much potential for me, and then I found myself rolling my eyes a fair bit and not in a good way. The heroine in this for example decides it's a good idea to tell the hero

DNF. I have a profound love for (most of) Sybil Bartel's books, but when her books don't work for me, they really don't work for me. This is probably one of the worst, in that I couldn't even get through the first 15 or so pages. I skimmed some of the rest and the ending, though none of that helped with my impression.

Bartel's books always have a component that I normally abhor: insta-love/lust. I still don't know why she does it in a way that works for me, but she does. Anyway, regardless of the fact that this happens every time, that I know it's going to happen every time, and that it's totally unbelievable the way it happened—in this instance, it was HORRID. I feel like it's even faster than "insta." She's in a car with her bodyguard, Ty comes out to greet her, she lays eyes on him and her world falls apart and shatters; he sees her and the same thing happens. He helps her out of the car and they both go crazy internally. I mean ... come on. Seriously. It was SO over-the-top, it honestly read like a parody—that description just occurred to me, and it really is spot-on.

Then another point in a section I skimmed was just so weird and something I find personally unappealing: they have sex while she's on his period and he's totally into it and if I remember correctly, he even goes down on her. Umm ... what?? Now, to be clear, I am totally on this recent train of demystifying and destigmatizing The Period; it is a natural process of a woman's body and should not be seen as gross or unspeakable or a shameful thing. It doesn't make us disgusting. That's how I feel about our menstrual cycle in general. The idea of having sex while having one's period has never appealed to me, either personally or when I've read it, but then that he goes down on her too?? I just thought it was weird, I'm sorry. They've known each other for like 12 hours. And he's licking blood from her vagina.

Bottom line: totally regret the $3.99 I spent on this eBook and would like to return it. I had been looking forward to this book, though not specifically because of Ty, but because it's Sybil Bartel. For what (I'm assuming) will be the next one, I am truly excited, because it's featuring that hero who is unlike any of the others we've seen thus far; I'm forgetting his name right now, because we haven't seen him very much and only in the last 2 or so books, but he's the jittery guy who has crazy Mentalist-like observation skills, had a rough childhood, etc. Keeping my fingers crossed I like it like the ones below. (Next book announced on her website is called Callous, hopefully it's his). Ugh, I wish I knew the publication date.

FEROCIOUS FEARLESSNESS AND SAVAGE LOVE **3.5 stars**

“Ty wasn’t my savior. He was a warrior.”

How would I feel if a morally corrupt sniper/bodyguard like Ty had his eyes and attention on me? I shiver at the thought. Rough-around-the-edges romances between ruthless heroes with mercenary skills and untainted virgins REALLY, REALLY, REALLY rev my jets. A cold and lethal beast and his delicate flower. I don’t know what it is: maybe their incongruous differences, the opposites attract excitement of the chase, alpha dominance and a sweet thing’s sacrificial submission, an ill-fated intersection, or those muscles, muscles, muscles … Whatever it is, these pairings excite me with steamy moments and dangerously bad decisions that inevitably lead to the most incredibly combustible sex.

Besides, the action just amps up everything to another level. I hate the “easy lay” or fast conquest. It’s the slow, delirious build of sexual tension, the subtleties of animalistic attraction, and the savagely explosive heat when all that pent-up desire and longing finally explode in a wild, feral coupling. Nobody does this combo better than Pepper Winters and Pam Godwin, but the blurb of this book and forbidden match-up of MCs reminded me how much I adore those action-filled stories where sex often takes a backseat to other energy pulsating around the lovers. I got all that from my first Sybil Bartel read with a few hiccups.

Two fearless people save each other and find love -- ferocious fearlessness and savage love.
I was captivated by the bodyguard/client situation in the nightclub setup, between darkly mysterious Ty and sexy, quiet and demure Ludeviene who captures his interest and undivided protection. He’s hardscrabble and she’s rich and refined. Their chemistry crackled with untapped potential before her surprising abduction, captivity, and Ty’s courageous role as her sole rescuer. She’ll do anything to stay alive and he’ll do anything to save her. *Hearts in my eyes* They changed each other, and believed in each other. So romantic, and love blossoms quickly in such dire circumstances.

The whole rescue was very exciting, and the complications that link the characters to the Cartel captors were credible, not clichéd. Ty’s killing skills and brutality with knives and guns were jawdropping with plenty of touch-and-go moments in the rescue and escape that had my heart thumping. It was a pure adrenaline rush. Ludeviene confusingly went from wimpy at the club to inexplicably fierce in captivity though, and then wimped out again once Ty showed up. He had to talk her through everything and I wondered where that strong girl disappeared. It was quite romantic how they kept saving each other, but some of it caused a side eye during the escape, especially in the water. FYI: Her period was a ridiculous focal point that added nothing to the story. Why bother with it?

The hard-hitting story had definite, captivating moments, but there were also inconsistencies and some disbelief. Savage sex with passion made up for lack of gentleness, and had more meaning because it wasn’t on every other page. The rough brand of love and sex was their own, and although the book wasn’t quite as good as expected, I will explore more of author’s books. It was an adventurous, gritty, passionate read, but unpolished.

“You saved me.” ~~ “Return the favor.”

'Fearless' is Tyce Asher aka Trigger and Ludeviene Loic's action packed story. This is the first book that I've read in this series, although not for lack of trying. Due to some happenings, I always ended up dropping its predecessors. I am happy that was not the case with this one.
From car and boat chases, cartel involvement, adventure, damsel in danger and alpha bodyguards to save the day - Ms Bartel supplied it all with expertise in 'Fearless'.

I’ve really loved this series, this one took me longer to get into but once I did it was brilliant.
Excellent characters with in depth backgrounds and thrilling storyline, dark and brooding sometimes slightly disturbing to.

I decided to give this a 3 because this wasn’t a romance at all. It wasn’t even romantic. It was like an action movie with a couple of abrupt sex scenes. Which for the record isn’t necessarily bad but it certainly wasn’t the feel I wanted. It’s been a minute since I read the first four books of this series and I’m not sure I vibe it like I previously did.

Don’t get me wrong, I liked the characters and instalust was definitely there but I never got the emotional connection at all. They knew each other for like 5 minutes and it was all based on life and death situations. We need the adrenaline to settle, geez. But also, the sex scenes were rough - girlfriend was a virgin with a capital V so don’t be feeding me the idea that she’s going to take a giant cock the first couple of times with little issue simply because she was turned on by Ty. I wish that was more accurately portrayed.

The push and pull from Ty was a tad too dramatic - why should we believe he’s not good enough or unworthy. We had almost no backstory but clearly he had trauma from his time in the military and then working for unsavory characters after that. We also have no idea who Ludviene was either. We know almost nothing about either so there was no character development.

I didn’t hate it but I also didn’t care. The action was great tho! So if you want something kind of like watching a Fast & Furious movie, then this would work.

Bartel is one of the best at writing about alpha heroes. Her favorite heroes of mine are her bad boys that are oh-so-good. Ty is no exception. Haunted by his past, he chases his demons with his itchy trigger finger. Then he meets Ludeviene, the opposite of him in every way. She is rich and the daughter of a banking mogul. He enlisted at 18. Sparks ignite and Ty fights it hard because he's honor-bound by his job to do the right thing. Unfortunately, things go south. I loved the action sequences. This author is so good at those! Five juicy stars for this one. I'll never miss a read by this author!

Well, I really had a hard time suspending my disbelief in this book. And perhaps because I couldn't believe anything they were doing, I couldn't find a connection with either of the main characters?

Perhaps it was all the killings? Perhaps it was too much talk about period blood? I am not squeamish, but I find neither of those things sexy.

I finished it, but it was nearly a DNF for me. Perhaps it was only disappointing because I know the author can do better. I'll still pick up other books by this author, but I going to take a break for now.

I really wanted to love Fearless as much as I enjoyed the rest of the series but this whole plot felt more like a crash course in PTSD than romance. In fact, romance wasn’t even an after thought, it was third on the list. No development in the characters. Didn’t get to know Ty the way we know all the other alphas in Sybil’s series. It was just violence, then sex and finally and epilogue that included I love you’s. No structure, just chaos and as a result, it fell short for me

Full Disclosure: I flippin' loooove this author's books & have read almost every single one. Her plots, characters & evocative writing just push every button I have & I consume them in one straight sitting because I MUST KNOW what happens & how things end.
For me, there is just SOMETHING about her Alphas that calls to me, & although each Hero is most definitely an ALPHA, each man has a different twist, a different take on how he presents his dominance, a different personality, making every single Alpha character distinctly unique, & wonderful. And her heroines are the same: each different, with different lives, histories, personalities so readers are able (IMO) to find characters they identify with &/or greatly enjoy.
And the author's writing engages the reader & makes them CARE about the characters, we WANT them to overcome, to heal, to grow & support each other, to fall in love. I find myself swirled effortlessly into the author's stories, gripped with emotion, swept along in the suspense & danger, rooting for the H/h through their travails & tentative journeys into potentially life altering relationships. And the steamy interactions sizzle off the page.
FEARLESS is Ty (H) & Ludeveine's (h) story & is filled with danger, suspense, betrayal, excitement, romance & steam.
Ty is not as morally upright as his Luna & Associates brethren & not at all concerned about it. He's lethal, powerful, huge & crudely blunt & unemotional. Get in, get done, get out & get paid sums up Ty's attitude about his career at Andre Luna's stellar Security company. There are only 2 people on earth he cares for & no one else. But then one night providing security at an A-List Hollywood party he stumbles across a tiny curvy doe-eyed brunette . . . .
Ludeveine, a make up artist, has been sheltered virtually the whole of her 24 years by her father & sheer happenstance brought her to the attention of a Hollywood star who invites her to a party. Naturally shy & somewhat submissive, Ludeveine finds she doesn't really care for the loud crowded party peopled with obnoxious annoying men hitting on her, but a certain gorgeous huge security guard DOES catch her interest & notice . . . .
But after Ty & Ludeveine come to talk with each other, Ty realizes Ludeveine is too 'classy & innocent' for him & with a smile & a wink, he drives away.
But then he finds out Ludeveine has been kidnapped.
And, as far as Ty is concerned, now there are no rules: he's going to get Ludeveine & in the process he'll spill whatever amount of blood is required in order to successfully save her . . . .

An AWESOME heartwarming, emotionally wrenching & exciting romance that I WILL be rereading MULIPLE times!!!

Every single time. Every single freaking time I tell myself that I can't bring any more book boyfriend's home because my ACTUAL boyfriend will be mad -- Sybil goes and releases another man I must claim as my own.

5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ dangerous sizzling stars for FEARLESS

Ty was hot. Like seriously, fucking hot. Forget fifty shades of grey, leave the whips and paddles at home -- that's mediocre playtime compared to Sybil's novels.

We want fifty shades of marines to be completely honest. Ty knows how to pull a trigger hot and fast, there's absolutely no need for foolish foreplay for Ty.

Fearless is the 5th book in the Alpha Bodyguard series of stand-alones, but I highly recommend reading ALL of Sybil's books. Who am I kidding, I don't have to recommend her novels. After you read one, you're addicted forever. I can promise you.

Well to SAA -- Sybil Addicted Anonymous. It's similar to AA, but in these meetings we purposely get drunk off sexy, ex-marines that like to protect their girls at all costs while giving us readers some longful lusting. *sigh* Don't tell my boyfriend.

I have to step back for one second, compose myself *pats sweaty forehead* and applaud Mrs. Bartel. This is honestly probably my favorite Alpha Bodyguard to date (I'm so sorry Tank, I'll be sending a fruit basket in exchange for betraying you I swear). The way that Sybil portrays Ty as this merciless, twitching trigger finger literally had me salivating. I loved him when she mentioned him previous books in this series, and to finally get a little taste of all and everything he's capable of (😉) I wanted to go back and start all over again. I believe, in my opinion, this is the most intense, action-packed novel that she has to date. You not only fall in love with both of the characters, Ludeviene and Ty, but you fall in love with Sybil's writing and how she brings them to life on paper.

I cannot say this enough, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK, YOU Sybil for always bringing us characters that we not only want to protect ourselves, but that are so real and raw that we can't help but want to know them in real life.

You know a romantic suspense from Sybil Bartel is going to deliver ruthless bad guys, some sort of damsel in a degree of distress, and a fierce Alpha Warrior willing to turn over heaven and earth for one woman. Her 5th installment in the Alpha Bodyguard series, Fearless, delivers in spades. It is a fast-paced thrill ride you'll want to read in one sitting. (Somebody somewhere is going to realize what great movies these would make.)

Like all of Andre Luna's bodyguards,  Ty "Trigger" Asher is a former US Marine , but be also worked for the Cartel before coming to work for Luna. We first met him back in Merciless when he was working for the bad guys. He helped Collins rescue his girlfriend and son..  In Fearless, he turns into a one-man wrecking crew and when young Ludoviene Loic gets kidnapped by a member of the Cartel, who happens to be a buddy of her father's, Ty steps in and becomes a one man army to rescue the woman he just met but who has turned his world upside down. There's danger, violence, and passion galore.

I think Ty has more demons to deal with than other Bartell heroes & Ludoviene is as innocent as they come, a real contrast, but Ty falls and falls hard. I'd have liked more backstory on her and more closure with her situation that led to her kidnapping  (no spoilers). For a young woman who has led such a sheltered upbringing, she turns out to be a pretty strong lady.

Gripping and gritty, even for an Alpha Bodyguards story, Fearless is tough to read at times and Ms Bartell really makes this pair work for their HEA. Lots of action & things that some readers would squirm over make it not for the faint of heart reader. Because of these things, I'm not sure this will rank as my favorite Alpha Bodyguard read, but it's still a 5 star read.

Andre Luna gets featured prominently and that's always nice.

Don't miss this.

First of all I just have to say HO-LY SHIT! That was one crazy intense ride! Sybil knows how to keep me on my toes. This entire book had me on the edge of my seat. I literally bit all the nails off of the hand that wasn't holding my kindle. Considering the last episode of GoT aired the day before I read this book that is saying a lot! All hail the queen of action packed books! Seriously this book was hands down her best yet. As far as the action goes I could totally see it being turned into one hell of an action flick! *clapping* Way to go Sybil, way to go!

As far as the love story of the book goes I'll be honest, I didn't see that coming. When we met Ty I'm sure I'm not the only one that had assumptions about him. He seemed very blood thirsty & a little unhinged. Then out of nowhere we find out he has a "son" that's deaf. I mean what?! We're left kind of scratching our heads & wondering wtf is up with this guy. Then we get Fearless & get to know Ty. Now I'm completely in love. It's a story of redemption in a way. A man who is broken from the things he has done in the past but wants to be better. A woman who has been sheltered & coddled her whole life who wants the chance to think for herself & make her own decisions. These two polar opposite people find each other, fight for each other & almost die for each other (several times). Their differences don't matter at the end of the day. All that matters is that they found what they were missing in themselves in each other. They found their other half & now they are both whole.

Another great book by this author. It was entertaining and well written. I would probably give it five stars if the story also included the “after” part. After all the drama and the rescuing, what happened next? I would’ve liked to be there when they return back to everyday life and see how they settled down.

Side note: this author makes up heroines with such weird names. Ludeviene? Had a hard time knowing how to pronounce it in my head!

Spoiler alert!

Plot:

The woman, Ludeviene, meets the guy, Ty, when she’s out at a club where he is helping out with security. The day after, Ty gets an assignment of retrieving a kidnapped woman. Turns out the woman is Ludeviene. He goes in undercover, retrieves her by killing a bunch of guys, but just as they are about to get away they are both injured and have to lay low waiting for backup. While they wait, they end up having sex where she shocks him by not telling him she’s a virgin. Still, they agree to just have this one night together. The help comes, and after he takes a detour to kill the last bunch of bad guys, they both return back home safely. A woman and a kid waits for Ty when they return, and Ludeviene mistakes then for being Ty’s wife and kid. She runs away, but faints before she gets far because of her injuries. Waking up, Ty is confused and angry at her for both running and making her injuries worse. She tells him she’s done with him, because of his wife and son. Ty tells her the woman is his sister, and the kid’s his nephew. He tells her that Ludeviene is it for him, and that he wants everything with her. Marriage. Babies. Everything. She’s relieved and agrees. The end.

Absolutely a 10 ⭐️ Read - engaging, compelling and swoon-worthy
Just when you think ‘it can’t possibly get any better then the last book’ boom. I think every single book is my fav until I read the next book Sybil writes. This book is simply a 10⭐️ Read. I stayed up til the wee hours not able to put it down. Without any ‘smoke’ this is such an amazing book by an amazing author. I gonna gush a little about this author but she is the only one I can guarantee you will love. I read hundreds of books a year. I haven’t taken a count but at least 300 a year. I like and enjoy many authors but there are 5 that are on the top of my list and have remained there year after year. Sybil is my #1 author - whenever I need a pick me up I know I can I open one of her stories and lose myself and feel better. Sybil loves and respects her reader’s so much she gives her all when writing a book. She meticulously creates every character. Her books are flawless in presentation. The plot is perfect, the book balanced and the read engaging and compelling and let’s not forget her Hero’s are gorgeous, alpha males that would make your heart skip a beat especially when she adds the air of dominance. They can put down anyone in 2 seconds flat and for the right woman, they have a heart of gold. Each one is unique as is each story. I have read most twice and some 3 or 4x. She has now created a world with her gorgeous men as her characters are meticulously created and carried into most books. It’s truly a delight to read her books.

If there was a way for me to hold off on reading Sybil's books so that I could become book drunk by reading them back to back, I would. But her stories are just too addictive and considering she is my go to author for needing my possessive, alpha male fix, I am truly screwed. FEARLESS was a wonderful addition to her Alpha Bodyguard series. The instant attraction between Ty and Ludeviene was scorching. Her kidnapping and Ty going in to save her by himself because he has those kinds of skills and background was heart pumping and suspenseful. I felt like the sex scenes took a bit of the back burner in this one however that did not detract from the story or make it any less hot. Sometimes you get authors that can write a thousand sex scenes in a book that are boring while others can weave in one or two scorching hot ones that are more memorable and delicious. Sybil wins that award in spades!

I know I say this in every review of her books, but I have to mention again how much I love her recurring characters from previous books. Luna, Talon, Tank, Neil...I just love these alpha warriors so freakin' much! And I look forward to seeing what they are up to just as much as I get excited about meeting a new couple. That is saying alot!

I can't remember who is next, but I am dying for Preston's story. And of course the next book about Candle. Until then, I may need to go back to the beginning and do some rereading. It's always hard to find a decent read after reading one of Sybil's books!

SYBIL!!!!
Let me just pause to dwell on the cover of Ty's book... such a great cover for him!!!

I didn't want it to end...but I couldn't put it down!!!

My oh my...I ask myself as I'm DEVOURING Sybil's books, "how can they keep getting better and better and better". No joke. This book has so much realistic yet unbelievable, incredible, jaw-dropping ACTION....there's no way to put the book down during her action scenes. The Alpha/Heroes in her books are addictive. I have been waiting for Ty's book since her last book, Ruthless or maybe it was Reckless. As I am just loving finally reading Ty's book, I am also craving Preston's book. And, introducing new potential next books, Miles?? How does she do that...making me want more and more?

Yes, the action is addicting and amazing...the character development and storyline is new, fun and sexy. Yes, you can't leave out how sexy Ms. Bartel's books are. These Alpha/Heroes are hot! Let's not forget the cameos of previous Alphas. Their appearances, even if they're brief, make me want to start her books from the very beginning to revisit their greatness.

Thank you Sybil for giving me this goodness and keeping me enthralled in every single chapter, page, word. Definitely 5 Star read for me <3

On edge, always ready to pull the trigger is how Ty lives his life. Working for Luna is the most legit thing he has done since leaving the military. Restless, a once and done kind of guy, he is taken by surprise by a pair of innocent, dark eyes and curves that won't quit. When he doesn't follow his instincts, he is relentless when he finds out the girl that he can't stop thinking about has been taken. He will stop at nothing to get her back. Failure isn't an option and anyone who stands between him and her will end up in a pine box. Here comes trouble...

I am a huge, huge fan of Sybil Bartel. She is amazingly talented and the cause of many sleepless nights as I can't put her books down. I have loved every one of her alphas but Ty has taken the top spot. He is phenomenal, ruthless, fearless and off the charts hot! All that hiding a pain that no one was allowed to see. Ludeviene was the perfect woman for Ty and I loved her soo much! She is strong and calm, fierce and loving. I heart this couple so hard and read it in a matter of a few hours. I cannot recommend this awesome lady enough, all the stars for Fearless!

Title: Fearless (The Alpha Bodyguard Series Book 5)
Author: Sybil Bartel
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ARC read in return for an honest review.

Trigger happy Tyce (Ty) Asher works for Luna’s security company, he’s blunt, fearless and good at what he does, he gets in there, gets the job done and gets out again, he is one helluva hot, sexy man. There are only two people in the world who really matter to him, that’s until one curvy little brunette named Ludeviene walks into his life and under his skin. Ludeviene has had a sheltered background and is somewhat of a naive woman, she struggles to understand Ty’s hot and cold attitude towards her when they first meet. This story evolves fast and the relationship between the pair is forged quickly and under severe stressful circumstances. I loved Ty and Ludeviene together, then there was the camaraderie between all of the bodyguards, when added together with just the right amount of action, romance and humour this made for another great story from Sybil Bartel, a fantastic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read.

I have only come to read this authors work in the last few months, and I really enjoy her. The heroes are Alpha, but she does manage to put in just enough differences in each one to stop them blending together (so far, at least). And she is willing to take a risk .

The hero in this book was almost anti-hero, in that his moral compass was off centre from most of his colleagues at Luna and Associates. I was happy he stayed true to that to the end - and while he allowed the heroine into his heart and his world, he really didn't change all that much. Like all the other books, it was very much insta-lust followed by insta-love. I think the majority of the story covers a little less than 24 hours, and it is a jam-packed 24 hours!

Very action packed! The romance kind of took a back seat, which was a disappointment. This couple, as per usual, had an instant connection, but due to the circumstances they found themselves in, it took them a long ass time to come together. The action/suspense should always complement the romance, not take away from it. I did feel like it took away from it here. But it was still an enjoyable installment to the series.

Ty was a total badass, even if he straddled the fence between hero/anti-hero. Ludeviene didn't annoy me, which, when the heroine doesn't piss me the fuck off, I'm ever grateful for that.

I liked that Tyce had demons, although typical for Bartel's books, not much of it was shown on the page. We did get to see a bit of his trauma toward the end and I was glad for that because I'm of kind getting tired of all these men feeling too much like they're invincible. You never get to see them being vulnerable on the page. I love a tough, badass, takes care of business alpha, but I also want to see all sides of them, their vulnerabilities.

As for .... That ain't cute, boo. That ain't cute! :/

I am not sure how Sybil Bartel does it with every book of hers I've read she captures my attention from page one and keeps me captivated until I've finished the last page. Her characters are so diverse, interesting, intense and unique. The stories are chock full of action, suspense, danger and white hot romance. Fearless fills every one of those parameters. Tyce Asher AKA Trigger is aptly named. He's a one man wrecking ball. For years he's been on a rampage trying to right the wrongs of this world. He's straddled both sides of the law. Ludeviene Loic becomes a pawn in a deadly game between her ultra wealthy father and the cartel. It's Ty's job to get her out. What he doesn't plan on is discovering that Ludeviene is the wery woman he had an instant attraction to and yet walked away from. Rescuing her is one thing. Getting her to safety and keeping her protected will be the challenge. Ty is nothing like any man she's ever met. He scares her and makes her want him with every breath she takes.

After Ty left the Marines, he wasn’t aware that his new employer was the cartel and when he did, he assisted Luna and Associates with their last mission and he now finds himself employed by them. He appears cold and impartial to anyone who doesn’t know him but that is also the very skill that has kept him alive all these years. While working security at a party he is a drawn to a beautiful brunette but knows she deserves better than him, so he doesn’t take it any farther.

Ludeviene is shy, innocent and has been protected her entire life. She is feeling out of place at the part when she meets Ty and is drawn to the sexy alpha. She didn’t expect to see him again or that he would be the one sent to rescue her after she was abducted.

This story takes you on an action packed adventure filled with suspense, emotion, heat and great characters. These two couldn’t be more different but together they balance each other out and are a perfect match.

This book was sooooooo hot!

Oh my lord. It was a bit cheesy at times but I really didn’t care. It was hot, action packed, dramatic and just hot hot hot.

I loved the sexual tension between these two.

He doesn’t think he’s good for her but he is. He is such an alpha male. He curses all the time and is self-assured and confident almost to a fault. He’s a total badass fighter and sniper.

He is always tense and on alert and their chemistry is so hot.

She’s smart, comes from money, beautiful and naive and she knows it. She likes him so much but he gives her so many mixed signals.

They both grapple with their own fears and insecurities until they can’t be away from one another any longer.

A little bit of insta attraction in the beginning but it wasn’t too bad.

This was a total guilty pleasure I’m not guilty for at all ☺️

Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Every time I read another book by Sybil Bartel, I think she has written her best work. And every time I think I like the characters the best out of all of her works. But this time, it is true, on both counts. This story is action packed, full on Alpha, and entertaining. I consumed it in a matter of hours and was at a loss when I was done. I LOVED the characters of Ty and Ludeviene (I love her name) so much. Their story line is very interesting as it evolves and the plot moves seamlessly through out the book. Sybil does tough, angry, passionate, intense, ex-military Alpha males so well, you will long to read what makes them tick. This is yet another in the long list of excellent books by this amazing author. 5 Big Stars!

Sybil Bartel sure knows how to write an alpha and Ty does not disappoint. I'm ranking Ty right up there with Neil and Talon, and if you're already a Sybil Bartel fan, you know that's saying something! Fearless, like the rest of this series, is heavy on the action and suspense and takes you on a nail-biting journey while not skimping on the steam or sizzle ... it's an action/adenture as much as it is a romance. Ludeviene is more of the frail, cosseted, damsel-in-distress type heroine, so those of you looking for a stronger, fend-for-herself type, this might not be the best Bartel book for you. However, Ludviene's nature pairs perfectly with Ty's uber Alpha, mega protective, grunting and glaring self. Overall I really enjoyed this read.

Who hasn't wished for someone that would do anything to protect you?
Well, Sybil once again deliver a deliciously sexy bodyguard that will move heaven and earth to keep his woman away from danger. I can't tell you more than that because I don't really want to spoil it all for you. =)
I loveeeeeeed this story. As always, Sybil's stories feel so real and I just can't help to devour every one of her books as soon as they come out. All the action in Fearless will make you want to keep reading it all the way until the end. It's just THAT addictive!
If you like heroes with the right amount of alpha and a little squish inside just for his woman, then Ty and Ludevienne's story is for you.
Only thing left to say is... Brace yourself, because you're in for one hell of a ride.
