Sigh! This was the perfect way to close out the series. I have been impatiently waiting to see Rick and Harley get their happy ever after. Rick escaped across the country to get away from his feelings for Harley, but nothing is going as planned. He’s forced to return home, fleeing ahead of a spoiled man-child determined to make him pay for his success on the streets of LA. Once he’s back, he and Harley have to fight for their lives and livelihoods as well as figure out their feelings for one another before one vengeful competitor tears their worlds apart. I loved Harley. I love a strong leading lady who can be fierce and independent without being an overbearing cow about it. And Rick. My heart broke for him in the previous books every time Harley shot him down. I loved watching her realize and see him as more than just Mason’s little brother; to see the noble, caring man that he is. I’m just not ready to say goodbye to these characters. I don’t know how they’d do it, but I’d love to see the series continue.

Along the way, Torq and his crew catch up to Rick a few times with Rick fighting for his life. Harley has been waiting nine long months for Rick to return. As Rick and Harley navigate their new relationship, they must fight a street racer bent on revenge against Rick. Can Rick and Harley defeat Torq before he creates too much havoc in their lives? I love how fiercely independent Harley is and always has Rick's back. Rick is a pure alpha male who protects those he loves. The chemistry between Rick and Harley is sizzling hot! Outsmarting Time by Ali Parker is a fantastic story with non-stop action, drama, passion, and laughter. Love Ali Parker and her The Streets series. Definitely a MUST read! I would highly recommend getting Outsmarting Time and the other books in The Streets series. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.

Finally Ricks Time To Shine!

Okay, so it hasn't been THAT long of a wait, but I have been rooting for poor Rick and his race weary heart getting what he wants- including the one and only larger than life Harley Cross!
What a way to end the series! These two come back into each other's lives after months apart, there's no time for pleasantries- as if it was a street race- the heat, adrenaline, fear, excitement, and lust that has built up between them OH MY, no one else stands a chance!
Or so Rick hopes, his wounds are still fresh where Harley is concerned, mixed with his troubles in L.A he had planned to lay low from back home his life is messed up. He has no interest in involving anyone. Too bad for him Harley knows how to insert herself where she isn't wanted. GAH!
High octane action, heart worthy drama, swoony sweetness, I could not put this amazing book down!
I have loved each book and its characters in The Streets Series; I am so sad to see it come to an end!
I highly recommend checking them out for yourself!

Outsmarting Time by Ali Parker

Outstanding Street Racer story by Ali Parker. Reading this story gets the reader in-tune with how the racer fans feel like while waiting for the race to finish in a heart-stopping climax. This time it is Rick and Harley's (Harriett Cross) story. Rick has left New York and gone to the LA race circuit. Harley has now realized it is Rick that really makes her chaisse hum and she has missed him terrible for the last nine months. Rick wins big not only a fabulous car but five hundred thousand dollars in prize money. All his monetary dreams have finally come true but one. He is still in love with Harley, the one girls he can not have. Rick has made an enemy of Torq not only for the loss of the special Saleen car, prize money but losing Torq's fan base has gone to Rick as well. Rick has been told to leave LA if he wants to keep his life. Back in New York, Rick starts racing again and Torq shows up there to race and to take down Rick. Tune in to read if Rick keeps his life, gets the girl or wins the race. It is well worth your time.

What a great way to finish up this series. We watch as Harley and Rick finally get their happy ever after. Even though it came with a price. Racing has always been both of their scenes but when things just get to be to much for Rick he finds himself across the country and in the biggest race of his life...to stay alive. Things move fast as he heads home and Harley is there waiting. Time moves forward as they finally decide to make it work and finish off this race season with a bang. This story had us on the edge of our sits and wanting to yell for Rick but in the end everything comes full circle. Happiness is found. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.

A thrilling adventure romance read

Harley, organizer of The Streets an underground race, didn't realize what she had in Rick, a street racer, until it was too late and he moved to the other side of the country to try to get over her. As the story progresses trouble follows him home, their hopes of a relationship are realized, and if they can make it through this racing month they might just have a future with each other. Ali Parker's The Streets series is a thrilling adventure romance read and Outsmarting Time did not disappoint.

I have loved, loved, loved this series. I am so glad that it took Rick to go away for 9 months for Harley to realize what kind of a catch he really is. These two have been bantering for the longest time and it's been so worth it. Rick is doing well racing and Harley has been doing well organizing the races. Can they find their happily ever after when all of that is said and done?? Well you're going to have to get the book to find out... Another well written book by this author and the characters are so very likable. Enjoy.

We finally get Rick and Harley's story. She has shot him down so many times. Murphy's law has plagued him since he left home not to mention one spoiled immature man who is causing all kinds of problems for him and Harley now that he is back in town. There is a lot of closure for some characters and this nonstop action story has a lot of drama that will keep you tuned into the pages until the very last page. I have been waiting for Rick's story and its finally here.. Rick has loved Harley for years but Harley always had a thing for his brother. Rick moves away and Harley realizes she actually has feelings for him but feels like shes too late now.. When Rick comes back after some things go wrong can he not only be safe but finally get the one woman who has had his heart all along?

Rick has been in love with Harley for five years. She realizes too late that Rick is the one that she really wants, but he has left town and has been gone for nine months. When he returns, Torq, a racecar driver from LA is all over his case, wanting to beat him up, because he cost him a race with buckets of money and a car. Torq sent his goons to beat up Rick several times along his trip back to New York and now he is in New York to put him down for good. Harley and Rick are together now and could not be happier. Their chemistry is off the charts hot, smokin, sizzling, you get the idea. They are just so cute together, so in love like teenagers with their first love. Torq is not over his hatred for Rick, and has come to New York to finish him. In the meantime, how badly is he going to hurt Rick?

Outstanding action. Nail biting drama. You feel like you are in the car is with them. You can actually feel their anger. Such an awesome book. You won’t be able to put it down. I just love this book. Rick is just so cute and so in love with Harley it will make you swoon.

Love this story about second chances and fast cars. Rick try to forget Harley after years of been in love with her with no chances of her loving him. After he left Harley finally figure he was the one for her but it took time to come back to his hometown and no after been told to leave or face the sore looser Torq rad. Rick left Los Angeles trying to stay away from Torq, but on the way back to New York he found him and rough him up a couple of times, but the best way to beat him was in the race. Rick went bac to New York to The Streets the underground races and he beat Torq fare and square even dough Torq try to make him crash at the end of the 3rd race. Torq flip his car and Rick saved him taking him out of the mangle car before the cops got to the scene. Harley and Rick finally had their HEA. Loved it so much I could not put it down.

Harley and Rick have been doing this dance for a long time now. Well Rick had had enough and moved away far way because he couldn't stand to be near Harley( and who could blame him).

Rick moved to the L A drag scene to get away from everything. He started winning races left and right and pissed off the wrong person and is asked to leave town. So he leaves town in the dead of night. Rick goes back to NY though back roads. He hopes that loses the guys that are chasing him.

Harley is New York thinking that missed her chance. Well duh! Harley is still holding races every Saturday night in secret locations but is thinking its time to retire.

So the questions are do Rick and Harley finally get together? Does Rick race that guy fair and square? well I guess you will have to read it to find out.

I was waiting for Harley and Rick's story since the first book in this series. It definitely didn't disappoint. Harley is one badass female character. I liked how strong she was and confident in what she wants. As for Rick, I have to admit at first I felt bad for him and felt like Harley wanted him just as a second best to his brother. I'm glad that wasn't the case in the end and that she realised Rick was the one from the beginning. They were really perfect for each other!
The scenes with whole crowd together were great and I loved banter between Mason, Rick and Benji. I’ll definitely miss this crowd. Overall, a perfect ending for this must read series. I gladly recommend it.

Mason, Benji, Rick, and the gang are back in this drama filled conclusion to The Streets trilogy. Rick is back in New York from L.A. (where he fled to heal his broken heart) with a new enemy in tow. Harley has finally opened her eyes and decides to stop living in fear of love. Outsmarting Time was filled with danger, drama, laughter, passion, and love. Outsmarting Time from Ali Parker was well written and all 3 stories flowed and tied together nicely. Wonderful characters readers will fall in love with and can't get enough of. A fantastic and captivating story readers won't want to put down.

Wow!! Ali Parker’s Outsmarting Time (The Streets Book 3) is a fantastic continuation of The Streets Series. Loved, loved Rick and Harley’s steamy story. It was also good to read about the rest of the characters from two previous books. This is filled with drama, danger, lust, love and a HEA. I definitely recommend this series and author. I have voluntarily read and reviewed this advanced readers copy. I give it a 5+.

A story that has it all. Very well written. Nice storyline and plot. Writing style very captivating and describing as if it was reality. Characters well defined and they develop nicely through the story. I like it is written in dual POV because that gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the characters.
A mix of romance, steam, erotic, action, drama and twists.
Absolutely a story that I will recommend to others.

This is a wonderful addition to The Streets Series. It is well-written, has steam, drama, danger, and realizations that need to be dealt with for the HEA to occur. The characters are developed, fiesty, independent, and trying to escape being hurt both physically and emotionally. I loved this enjoyable story.
